Where are the polygamists at?
I’ve never searched online to identify with a polygamist community. However, I’m finding it’s much harder than I thought it would be.
I read that the AUB (Apostolic United Brethren) forbid their members from posting anything online regarding plural marriage because of their fears of the NSA. Makes sense...but come on guys...what about community?
I get it.
Maybe my wife and I will use eHarmony?

A Savior is born. The Son of God is born. And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary. Mosiah 3:8

I am shocked at the number of Latter-day Saints who don’t understand the polygamist past of the Church. There are many good and faith promoting books on the subject to read. But for the Average Joe Mormon who wants to have a better understanding of my personal stance and the direction this blog will go, this would be a good start. Google it. Read it. Pray about it.

I’m a faithful #LDS priesthood holder. I have a temple recommend. I attend sacrament meeting every single week with my wife. I live the word of wisdom, home teach, have been a Gospel Doctrine Teacher and an Elders Quorum President, and I’m secretly a polygamist at heart. Nobody but my wife knows.
I believe that President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of god, and the only man authorized to use all priesthood keys on the earth. However, I also know that after The Manifesto was issued in 1890 many of the Brethren, including President Wilford Woodruff, took plural wives because of their belief in the doctrine of eternal marriage.
In December of 1845 in Nauvoo, Illinois Elder Willard Richards (who was with the Prophet Joseph Smith when he was martyred) took a plural wife by solemn covenant, without a formal sealing ceremony. This practice was also approved of by The First Presidency post-manifesto. On 5 April 1894, George Q. Cannon told the temple meeting of The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, "I believe in concubinage, or some plan whereby men and women can live together under sacred ordinances and vows until they can be married," to which President Woodruff responded, "If men enter into some practice of this character to raise a righteous posterity, they will be justified in it." Cannon advised some men to sidestep the Manifesto in this way to have posterity they were otherwise unable to have by their legal wife, and it is possible that he gave this advice directly to a brother John P. Rothlisberger of Arizona during visits President Cannon made to that territory in 1890-92. In any event, Rothlisberger's first wife was childless, and he entered into what his family calls a "common law" marriage with her sister about the same time as George Q. Cannon's visits to the stakes in that area, fathered ten children by this second wife, and remained an active seventy in the St. Johns Stake. (See Notes Below)
I likewise believe in this principle and form of entering plural marriage in our day, and I hope to one day see my family, current wife and future wives, build up a righteous posterity to the Lord in our part of Zion.
This blog will follow our adventures.
