Since you seem to like fantasy and fairy tales, have you ever looked into Strange Tales from a Makeshift Studio/聊齋 (Liao Zhai), What the Master Would Not Discuss/子不語 (Zibuyu), Extensive Records of the Taiping Era/太平廣記 (Taiping Guangji), and Strange Scribblings from a Firefly Window/螢窗異草 (Ying Chuang Yi Cao). They're full of Chinese fairy tales and ghost stories.

hey!!! hello! I just wanted to ask if theoden's hall in your art is in any way inspired by a yurt?

Yes! I took heavy inspiration from the yurts in central asia / mongolia as a reference for Rohan's design in the Middle Kingdom project! Since in LOTR Rohan is known as a land of horses, I thought the comparison to Mongolia would be perfect as a visual inspiration!

You ever think about Hans Christian Anderson's Wild Swans but set in a fantasy historical c-drama where the Empress Dowager curses the 12 imperial princes?

Well apparently I did, so I made a little cover for that hypothetical situation and had a lot of fun with it!

A little sneak peak of something I've been working on. I've always been obsessed with magic, and the almost baroque detail in a lot of magical worlds. The visual style of the occult is so cool! I'm probably not the only one that had a tarot card obsession, I'm sure. Now that I'm working on my very own magical world, it's been so fun to draw all the tassels and shiny things my heart desires.

First Post!

I deleted my old tumblr because... man idk why it was covid-times and the prefrontal cortex was not in the room with us!! Anyways, I was reminded by my lovely friend @repecca that tumblr exists, and that some of my work has been going around on here, so I decided to post some of my work up officially! Starting off with my most notable (?) work to date, here's my LOTR: The Middle Kingdom Project. Now, it's been over a year since I posted this, and at the time I was... really searchingfor myself artistically, and I decided to go all in on something that I'd been ruminating on for a long time.

So, hello, again. I'm Leia. I do visual development/BG design, and I'm also a writer of things. I love fantasy and transformative work. It's nice to meet you.
