You know, that Mythbusters post legitimately changed my life. Before seeing it, I had exponentially more guilt and stress about not being able to sleep, which of course, further exacerbated my inability to sleep.
Now, every time I wake up about three am, knowing I have to get up at 6.45, instead of stressing and panicking about how my day is going to be sleep deprived and miserable, I just tell myself 'Time to activate Mythbusters Protocol' and lie there with my eyes closed safe in the knowledge that I am measurably reducing later feelings of exhaustion.
And when this happens, about 70% of the time the reduction of guilt and stress means I actually do fall back asleep, so all in all instead of getting only three or four hours sleep, I get five to six and a half.
Which y'know, major improvement in health and energy.
You can find the register of interests for the Australian federal parliament here and find out! It'll show you all the properties they own and if they're to live in or if they're investments.
That way you know which politicians stand to directly benefit financially by keeping rents high and housing unaffordable for the rest of us and then VOTE THEM OUT!
*shaking pink empire by the shoulders* will you STOP declaring wars on my vassal that you can't win?!
I literally ended the war the second a massive fleet went into their last system ready to crush them (they took one planet and lost their original one). They took a couple days to accept it and I was sweating
At least they seem to be learning from their mistakes and making non-aggression pacts with my allies. I'd make one myself but then I couldn't end wars at the last second
Nasty Stellaris border gore going on rn but thankfully it benefits me. I just wanted to be a semi-friendly hivemind and now I have 2 vassals one of whom everyone hates and i keEP GETTING DRAGGED INTO 7-EMPIRE WARS
Some context:
I am the Jhabbanid Consciousness [all grey]. My main territory is down the bottom with the sector border, the bit up the top was me expanding through a wormhole
The Bodranitan Star Autocracy [Pink border 1] is my vassal, they're slavers so I took them over.
Red people in the bottom is also my vassal. They asked me, and I agreed, so I'm nice to them lol
The Bodranitan Empire [Pink border 2] was somehow created when the Qwe'Pulcians [Purple border, large ally] fought the Star Autocracy, and are now a protectorate of them. Both are spiritualist xenophiles.
The Vivisandians [All pink] rebelled against the Autocracy despite no pops of their species existing. This made them at war with me by extension, so I surrendered and let them be independent- they're friendly, and hopefully I can make them a vassal later. (This happened earlier with a different species but I accidentally colonised instead of vassalizing them. I had to sell the planet back to the Autocracy because the non-hive pops were rebelling)
Brown Felis empire attacked the Autocracy, and took systems over from them. Through various pacts, nearly everyone else in this image got involved, and I surrendered on behalf of everyone, resulting in This when the claims went around
it’s easy to forget, so I’ll remind y’all: you can make fantasy versions of anything. yes even things you might not think about. like soil types. I am thinking of fantasy soil types right now
its time for some video game Grey Morality! so we’ve got an oppressed minority here who are being enslaved and murdered, do you want to join them and help fight for their freedom, or side with the oppressors to eradicate them completely? but wait!! before you make your decision, get this - and this is where it gets really grey - some of the minority aren’t very nice to you
The world ignorantly thinks that Palestine was empty and completely undeveloped until it was invaded by Israel in 1948!
These historical images from 1930 to 1940 show us that not only Palestine was beautiful, but it was highly developed for its time, rivaling even the most beautiful European cities of that era such as London, Paris, and Berlin!
Share it so that the world knows the truth about Palestine's beauty and development before occupation! robinson.selina No it was not a crappy piece of land.
Small ways to to elevate your people-drawing game: add moles and scars to skin, consider adding even just faint body hair, strands of hair going astray, draw in seams on clothes and shoes and put some stains on them, don't be afraid to add wrinkles to young characters when they make expressions, when they smile show a little bit of gums over the teeth, give them "imperfect" teeth
It's teeny tiny stuff but they make such a difference, at least in my opinion, when it comes to giving a character visual depth... things such as clothes and body language alone can tell a lot about a character without having to use words
