to have a creator say all of this is absolutely heartbreaking to me. i can understand an individual disliking a character and their actions, but people need to be more considerate with voicing their concerns on the matter. my heart goes out to red & flynn. ♡
Oofh. The hate in the comments. It's starting to get to me. I've been trying to ignore it for a long time now, but like they literally want one of the romantic leads to disappear. So many people. They just hate her. Like not even "love to hate her." Just despise her enough to call her slurs and pray for her death. In a wlw.
The way Annabel yearns aches for her Lenore to come back to her but doesn’t understand that the version of Lenore she knew will never come back as Nevermore has changed Lenore and her perception of Annabel, and the fact that the image of Lenore Annabel painted in her head was formed from only the pieces of Lenore that Annabel had seen thus far, as much as it hurts to say even though these did really wholeheartedly love each other they did not understand each other as fully as they think they did
I can’t believe there are still people who believe Annabel is secretly going to betray Lenore and take the second chance at life for herself. Sorry did we read the same comic? Do you loose the ablilty to read when she’s on screen? Annabel Lee has literally said “What is left? If she’s not here what’s the point?” If anything Annabel would probably sacrifice herself to give Lenore the second chance
My main problem with 90% of people who hate Annabel Lee is that they reduce her down to this one dimensional supervillain. They mischaracterize her and ignore parts of the story to fit their narrative that Annabel is a no good toxic abusive “sociopath” (Side note; can we please stop throwing around actual mental illnesses like an insult? It’s 2024 be better)
I have some au (again) with this outfits, but I'm really lazy and don't really want to translate bunch of text to English.
