WHO: @madelynsok
WHEN: late saturday night
WHERE: outside of le rouge
He doesnβt mean to step out for more than a few minutes, craving a smoke and a breath of fresh air on a crisp night on the island. He didnβt make it a habit of smoking but his on-and-off flirtation with Europe had made it difficult to escape the haze of smoke and nicotine. Nights like these defined by the sharp scent of vodka and the pounding bass called for a cigarette.Β
Of course, this meant that Luca didnβt have a lighter on hand. Spotting the back of another person nearby, he taps them on the shoulder. βHey, sorry to bother you β got a light?β

WHO: @cleohalliwellβ
WHEN: tuesday morning
WHERE: on set of the saint catalina revival
In the beginning, when the producers of Saint Catalina had contacted him about the revival, Luca had been unsure of whether heβd wanted to participate. Of course, the experience had been better than heβd initially imagined, even with the influx of attention and media coverage he and his castmates had received through the show. Luca had never minded the attention, really; in fact, itβd been a decent amount of exposure for his DJing career and as he looked over the contract, he was reminded of that fact.Β
Why shouldnβt he do it? He still had the odd Saint Catalina fan come up to him every so often, and his experience with the cast and crew had been pleasant enough that returning didnβt feel entirely aggravating. His sister beckoning him back to the island was only a plus ( everybody knew that Luca had been itching to get off the island since they could remember ). It would be a few months of commitment, and then he could get away, like heβd always done before.Β
If his mind even landed on Cleo Halliwell, it was a passing thought he evicted from his brain before it made a home.Β
Truthfully, heβd kept up with her ongoings β not obsessively so, but once in a blue moon, heβd think to Google her name. Most of what came up nowadays involved her business rather than the show itself, but other than that, he assumed that theyβd both sailed on for better horizons.Β
So when he signs the contract, he does it for himself, for the publicity. Nobody else is on his mind when he puts the pen to the paper, and Cleo is certainly more than a distant memory when he walks onto set. He has a coffee thermos in one hand, sweatshirt thrown over his shoulder as he strolls onto set β heβs late, per usual, but Luca being Luca, is confident that he could wave away the trouble with his other free hand.Β
Weaving himself in-and-out between other people, Luca sips on his coffee, taken by the hustle-and-bustle on set. Nobody was yelling at him yet, which was a good sign. All around him, the crew was setting up for their little βhighlights retrospectiveβ, and not a single hand was left idle. Employees of all levels were shouting into their headsets, pushing around cameras and shuffling through makeup bags β yet, once he spots Cleo, itβs as if everything else falls away.Β
He doesnβt know how to feel, but his heart had the tendency to make the decisions for him anyways. Before he knows it, heβs approached her from behind, face over her shoulder and next to her ear.Β
βBoo!β he exclaims, pulling his face away in case she decided to punch him in the face. Luca laughs, though part of it sounds almost forced, as if he doesnβt know what to make of his ex here on set. βHere to rehash the good old days, too, huh?β
