I recently came into possession of the Lupin III LaserDisc box sets for Parts 1, 2, and 3…. So naturally, I had to scan all the booklets and jacket art.
I’ll post images of cover art here in this post, but I’ll also post a Google Drive link containing EVERYTHING I scanned. It can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1X4AII4mSQseaz24xx0wuTr7TFMd4X3cr

[EN] SEE YOU COWGIRL, SOMEDAY, SOMEWHERE…
Tumblr media
The rain coming down at the evening, the smell of wet grass, my grandmother's hot teas, the moments when you don't know if it's sunset or sunrise, the road trips, the moments when money doesn't matter, the twilight, the clouds , my grandparents' house, the smell of coffee and weed in a forest in the morning, the moments when time stops, the sun's rays that sneak through the trees, ocher evenings , swimming under the moon... These are some of the things that give me a feeling of freedom, some are just memories that won't come back, some are waiting to happen...
For me... clouds, for example, have always been synonymous of freedom, I've always been the guy who looks through the window just to contemplate how the clouds pass, how they twist, how they change color; I have always dreamed of being able to touch them, jump on them or fly between them, suddenly the vision of the divine beings that live among them sounds enviable. But since I don't have wings to fly, nor a plane to take me between them, well, I've been photographed them, since I have a camera, it is already one of my habits.
And despite being something that I love, I have hardly drawn clouds, so I have decided to focus more on drawing these things that give me a feeling of freedom, or moments of peace, it may sound obvious, but for me it has been a recent revelation. “I should draw those moments or sensations of freedom” is like trying to retrieve those memories from my memory, which sometimes I think are far beyond this life, to be able to contemplate them in the physical world and even be able to share them with the whole world, maybe there is someone out there who finds my visions cathartic, better yet, who also has more visions and produces a catharsis for me. That is the goal I have about my works so far. If I could, I would like to live just contemplating landscapes, horizons, everything and the void.
I will not deny that music is a fundamental part, after all I cannot live without music, in this scene, the influence of the works of Yoko Kanno and company has been very strong. Whose visions of freedom have always seemed exciting to me, especially when the music makes me think about life and death, topics that I will deal with in another post. Meanwhile, this illustration is dedicated to tescher Yoko Kanno and teacher Keiko Nobumoto, who on December 1, 2021, woke up from this dream we call life.

SEE YOU COWGIRL, SOMEDAY, SOMEWHERE…
Tumblr media
