the more i think about this (it has been a couple hours) the more i think it. is not funny. and im actually really sad about it actually

so funny watching rex realize that emmet is. like. past him. its kind of sad actually because rex gave emmet the validation that rex kind of didnt get (or that we see emmet not get at the beginning of the movie)

he really did want to do what was best for emmet though (even if it was just a protective way of turning past emmet to future emmet/rex without the trauma)
