This is only my opinion, but I do think there is a good reason why he hasn't gotten out of this yet. Maybe this is bad for him, but what that would cause would be even worse./
People have speculated that he himself have done something that is being covered up by doing this. Do you think that may be the worse part that he needed to continue this for? Could this speculation be true?
I don't think so? I don't really know, but I don't think it's true. I also heard people say that Alba and her team have something on him. I doubt that too, but who knows at this point?
I simply think they thought this was a good idea—a little rebrand, a few more roles, and money—and why would it hurt him? Yeah, the age gap isn't the best, and it's really uncommon from him, but let's be honest, he wouldn't face this huge backlash if it wasn't her. I think they didn't think people would not like her or that he would lose so many fans due to them not being entirely familiar with her and her friends.
So no, I don't think they have something on him; I just think they made a huge mistake, and staying is probably better than leaving at this point and losing all the money, the roles, and maybe even the chance to handle the narrative after the breakup.

I agree with much of what you’ve said. However, on the above: I hate to say this, but I think he would have been reluctant to proceed with her in this PR debacle because of how it reflects on him. Unfortunately, not because of some personal outrage and disgust towards her racist behaviour.
I say this as a WOC; sadly, most “allies” are outraged but don’t speak up and challenge racist behaviour. His inaction now - for example he could have demanded she publicly apologise (it’s been fone tons before), but hasn’t - demonstrates this. He’s buried his head in the sand about it.
He’s not perfect and we shouldn’t expect him to act a certain way, we obviously don’t know him. It’s just a feeling I have. A disappointed feeling.
Maybe you're right, but I still believe that he meant those things he's said and done, and that the reason why he wouldn't have wanted to be with her is because he isn't okay with racism.
I know, right now, it's hard to believe this, and I also know I'm not directly affected by this since I'm white, but I definitely understand you being disappointed. Who would've thought he would have been linked to someone like her in the past? Even if it's PR and he didn't know about it, it's still disheartening.
However, I don't think he can demand things like her apologizing. They can say no to it, and what can he do? Not doing what he's signed for? Then they would have the upper hand. And I also think they were probably advised against doing anything since, for example, her apologizing would create a bigger buzz about the whole thing. More people would know about those things they've done and said, and I don't think either of them wants that. The GP doesn't really know about her and her friends' behavior, and I think they want to keep it that way.

There have been rumours about them ongoing for years and years and I think that’s why people find the gossip a bit more smokey and interesting. I actually think the main issue here is that people can’t consider that two things could be true at the same time. Like for example, perhaps once upon a time they did have a ‘thing’ but it passed and they went back to being just friends and nothing has happened since. Or maybe they have never been more than friends and they just get a long really well but can generate great chemistry. Maybe they did have a relationship for a while and no one knew but they were close enough to stay friends. Maybe they are very aware of all the rumours and leant into it every now and then for PR (before the marriages). Rumours are so black and white or at least people make them that way. Were as I think - maybe they did knock boots at one point but that doesn’t mean that they have been having some torrid love affair or that it continues to happen. We don’t have I definitively say ‘this never happened and will never happen’ or that ‘it 100% happened! they hook up all the time’ There are always massive grains of salt with rumours but shock horror there also could be some nuance.
Yeah, I definitely agree with you. Maybe they had something going on, or maybe they didn't. Maybe they've hooked up, or maybe they haven't. I think it just gets annoying that blinds like this (sometimes even mentioning their names or alluding to them more specifically) are always being posted, and people believe them without any single piece of evidence.
They aren't like best friends, as people usually imagine best friends are. I doubt they spend that much time together. Yeah, they have great chemistry, and yeah, maybe it's because they've hooked up or they're just comfortable around each other and because they have known each other for decades.
I simply don't think people should believe anything they read online. It's okay to consider that it might be true, but acting like it is and spreading it as a fact is not okay.

I guess the only two A-list married celebrities who say they are besties are Chris and Scarlett. I don't know why people have this crazy obsession with them sleeping together, but it's extremely annoying and tiring at this point.
Why do people even believe what anonymous people say? Everybody can make up fake stories too.
People have been spreading these hookup stories about them for years and decades now, yet nobody has ever heard of them. If that blind is even about them.
Not everything is about Chris, and not everything is true you read online.

Chris is a grownup. Has been for decades. He is able to make his own decisions. I understand that a lot of people don't like the fact that there are family members or friends who are willing to participate in this whole thing and play along. And that is what a lot of people think they do to get clout and attention. But we don't know anything about the situation. We don't know whether they want clout or just want to help someone they love. Whether they tried to tell him that this wasn't a good idea or not, but he was stubborn and thought he knew what was best for him. Whether he even asked them about this whole thing.
Or maybe they just simply get along with alba and her crew. I believe there is some of his friends and fams that genuinly like her, without chris told them to do so

Nothing has happened really recently in regards to this but I wanted to critique something that happens within the fandom (not on your blog) and I think you would have some wise words to say about it.
It really bothers me when this ‘fandom’ insults/blames people in Chris’s life for decisions or actions that he himself has made. (Outside of the professional team that he employees) I find it takes the para-social relationship with him (which can already be alarming) much to far.
I don’t think anyone has the right to imply how anyone’s family members and close friends may interpret or feel about any particular situation especially if they aren’t in the public eye. Their loyalty and love is to Chris and strangers in the fandom are no equivalent to that.
It also applies to implying certain celebrity friends of his are bad friends or even bad people for ‘enabling’ him while suggesting other celebrity friends, that the ‘fandom’ it’s self may be more of a fan of are closer to him and have his interests at heart.
Chris has autonomy over himself. Chris knows what his family thinks of him and who his friends are. I’m not saying don’t hold him to a standard but we can’t pretend to know him better than people who he actually knows exists.
I get what you are saying.
Let's just take this whole Alba situation as an example, since I think the people you've mentioned criticize his family because of this situation.

I obviously don't want to accuse anybody of anything since I don't know those people, but sometimes just because you call people your family or friends doesn't mean they want what's best for you. And you sometimes don't see that, only after the mistakes were made.
As you said, we don't really know much about these people; maybe they just want to help him out, or maybe they just want the advantages of everything. We don't know them, and that's one of the reasons why I don't really talk about his friends anymore. We don't see into these relationships. Maybe they want what's best for them, or maybe they don't. I can't take a side in this, because again, just because somebody is part of your family or friend group doesn't mean they want the best for you. We don't know what kind of people they are; that's why I don't feel comfortable talking about those relationships that much anymore.
But again, Chris is an adult who is capable of making his own decisions, and he has a team that is supposed to be great at what they are doing. If he was uncertain about this, that should've been a huge sign for him, and even if he was told by any family member or friend that this was a good idea (depending on how the situation was presented for them), it's his life and career, and he is the one who's been in the industry for 20 years. He should've known better, and his team should've too.

I don't think they didn't care, I think just didn't have any other choice but to continue.
Maybe this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think they, or at least he, knew about those tweets. And the reasons why I think this is because: 1. I don't think he would've been willing to step into a PR relationship with her if he knew about those tweets; and 2. I think they would've made them delete those tweets. Why wouldn't they have asked them to delete those? It makes no sense. Especially when they know how noisy Chris's fans have always been.
I know it sounds ridiculous that they didn't know about those things or didn't check her and her friends properly, but I don't think if they did, we would be here now.
So I think by the time these things came out, they were already deeply in. And I know people keep saying they could've just broken up, etc., but we are talking about two celebrities who have 16 years between them. Maybe if they were closer in age, they would've done it, or maybe if a "source" didn't say they were happier than ever and had been together for a year, they would've done it. This is supposedly his first relationship (that we know of) where he is together with someone who is much younger than him. "I want family and want to settle down" and "I dated someone who is 16 years younger than me and said I'm happier than ever, but then I broke up with her" don't really correlate with each other. He didn't want to come across as someone who is after young girls for any other reasons than to settle down. Not a good thought!
I think this whole thing is a huge mistake. They thought this would be a good idea, but they didn't think it through and didn't check on her and her friends properly.
This is only my opinion, but I do think there is a good reason why he hasn't gotten out of this yet. Maybe this is bad for him, but what that would cause would be even worse.

Why do you think they kept going after she did the shower IG if this is fake?
I don't think that the shower video was enough to get him out of this.
And that happened after they went public and the "source" stated they'd been together for a year. After stepping out with someone, after "sources" saying you have never been this happy, etc., and considering the age gap, I don't think they wanted to end everything that soon, even if they had the chance.

So even if we get a picture, just like we did last time, these sightings are definitely not natural.// absolutely because I don’t know how there would end up being leaked pictures over this “sighting” that was posted about a week after it allegedly happened. Especially after allegedly ducking and hiding and running away from someone trying to photograph him.
Yeah, she was so speechless that she couldn't tweet for a week about seeing them out.
I don't really get the whole thing because if seeing them had such a huge effect on her that she'd been processing it for a week at that point, then why didn't she share it on the very day she saw them? Or maybe a few days later? Why did she decide to share it after a week? Will this be their new thing, so they don't have to provide pictures? Because now posting a picture of them, after a week and after she stated she couldn't take one, would look really suspicious.
But it would be even more suspicious if another person would step out, say they saw them too, and post a picture of them.

What do you think about the new sightings? Do you think it's real?
You know my take when it comes to these types of sightings—show us pictures or it didn't happen.
I guess they really enjoy this "somebody saw them so they tweeted and then magically a few pictures come out after like 2 days" thing because they keep repeating it. I'm sure this is going to happen this time too.
It's a whole other ass question why on Earth was she wearing a dress while he was wearing a white blouse and a cardigan. Did they dress up separately again?
I remember when I was at the Grand Canyon, and his outfit was more proper than hers. I remember we were all advised to wear something long-sleeved and have something on our heads because of the sun.
And the whole scenario sounds so awkward. So he didn't want people to recognize him (I would like to know which caps he wore, because that would be a huge factor determining whether he actually wanted that or not), but this person did, and when Chris realized he was recognized, he covered his face. While already wearing sunglasses and a cap, I guess he covered his nose and side profile. So this person wasn't able to take a picture because of this, even though they went after him despite him running away.
Something that is really interesting when it comes to these sightings is that there's usually only one person seeing them. So he did a great job at hiding himself, but a single person was still capable of recognizing him. Nobody else saw him there but this person? And what's up with him getting recognized every single time when he is out with Alba? So he can lay low for months, doing different activities with his friends and family, but when Alba is close, suddenly everybody recognizes him?
So even if we get a picture, just like we did last time, these sightings are definitely not natural.

I just wanna say, baby has been checked out for two years going on three and it’s been so sad to see ☹️ I definitely think the relationship is fake and no, I won’t go around trying to prove it but I pray he’s able to work his way out and return to some authentic happiness because Jesus, he’s so drained and looking every day of it. Anyway, I appreciate you, Maja 🫶🏽
Yeah, he is; it's like he is not even himself anymore. As you said, he looks drained, and he definitely lost weight too. I don't really see the happiness some people talk about, especially when they are around each other.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but I don't see the huge love people talk about. I get that the hate they get must be tough, but let's not pretend that that's the reason why they seem so cold, distant, and uncomfortable around each other. And no, they weren't acting any differently on the VF red carpet. Don't forget about how their behavior changed when they saw that they were being recorded.
