Toxicity in the sims community

Most of us have been apart of at least one sims community on discord, tumblr, pro boards you name it, but why is it that there are so many people, who spread toxic behavior throughout the communities and make their interaction known by harassing others, spreading hate towards other communities? The maturity among these sims interested individuals has reached its lowest level since sims was first released. Now with Sims 4, it has gotten worse. These communities have become a clique full of trolls and cyber bullies, whose only reason for joining communities is to behave as they please without any regard towards other peoples feelings, opinions and mental health. The Sims has a lot of different platforms to spread the word of their love for the game, but certainly also for people to act absolutely idiotic for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Whatever you are feeling or thinking, try being the best version of yourself and let people enjoy what they are doing. There is no right and wrong way to play the game, let others do what they want. My favor I ask from every sims role player, is to not trust everything you see and hear online. Create your own opinions, be yourself and don’t fall for group pressure from others who don’t have the mentality to understand how to communicate with others. Most communities are mainly young kids, and that attracts every part of that hateful generation. My own opinion of this, is that most sims are one of two versions, clique mentality full of abusers and trolls, while the other part of the community are mature individuals that can see through different perspectives of life and understand that there’s more to life than pixels on a screen. Don’t be mean to your fellow simmers, be better than them ♥️ you have no idea what others are going through behind their screens irl
