Well, not *all* sapient creatures have a class type. It's just by far the most common layout. Also my thinking is that the "hero" or "villain" types that I suspect they're gonna have would serve as classes here, but that is 100% speculation.

As for the specific ideas, I'd say those are 100% viable ways to execute the Greys and Rahne, but I'm not sure I like that for Illyana. While a figure of destiny style progression does get that idea across nicely, a big point of her stories is frequently controlling her demonic side and/or making it work for her. But, then again, it's very possible some characters get multiple cards to demonstrate different points in their arcs or versions of them, much as we saw for LotR, so who knows. (Also, I would make base Illyana a human mutant warlock, but that's me lol)

I wonder, in the crossover MTG's doing with Marvel, what creature types for the X-Men are gonna look like. Will they be human mutants, or just mutants? That's some in-universe discourse to be had there. Then there's characters like Illyana, Rachel, or Rahne, who could debateably have other types like demon, phoenix, or wolf/werewolf? And then I feel like we're gonna see hero and villain or some other versions of those concepts... Yeah, this is gonna be a mess, I think. Can't wait.

Reading comics is constantly like "Here is one of the most fascinating concepts you've ever seen in a piece of media. No we will not elaborate on it and you will never see it reach its full potential. Here is an interesting, new character. Oh now they're dead/rewritten to be less interesting/trapped in a different version of earth to be only mentioned off hand and never seen again. Here is your favorite legacy character: they're currently being written by a misogynist." And then once in a blue moon there's a comic that blows your tits clean off it's executed so well. But it's a limited run.

Ghost Hunter AU Fanart (I'll just copy/paste a bit of my last post in case anyone missed it) So, we decided to make fanart of fanworks. Yeah, it's meta and chaotic, but that kinda feels right. Illyana Rasputin in Marvel’s Voices: Pride

Does… anyone else get the feeling that Illyana is giving Karma the talking-to she secretly wants someone to give her? She clearly has all the counter-arguments thought out as if this has all been on her mind for a while, even if it’s hard to actually tell yourself those things.

Happy for Karma, just think it would be good for her karma to return the favor sometime, and she’s observant enough that I trust her to notice.

(That role-reversed situation is actually one I’ve been hoping for for a long time. Karma is used to being the big sister and is more experienced in these things, so let her lend a hand, Marvel!)

You deserve this too, Illyana!

(The reading guide I’m following to stay chronological doesn’t include the digital-only stories, but I think I can nearly read “Karma in Love” now! Been looking forward to that one.)

Spider-Man: *pulls off a glove and pulls a chunk into a long stem with his nails carving lines for added texture*

Spider-Man: See, this is what we like to call exam season. Anybody who knows anything about college can tell you that it drives people up the wall, and I already climb mine when I’m antsy.
