When Yuki heard about the complication with Hayate, Apis and Kaito/Kite, to say that she was shocked would be the biggest understatement ever because her oldest cousin, Christopher Arclight, talked about locating and bringing back a person named 'Astral' with help of 'Kaito Tenjo'

Am I going to make Apis and Saki canon? Hell yeah, they're too cute not to! Don't blame me, blame the little demon pulling my heart to make this happen X3

This was not good.

It was supposed to be a normal day, but of course, something had to go wrong. The thunder was too loud, too near, too…. Familiar. And Apis was not a fan.

He could feel tears building up in his eyes and his own grip on reality or any sense quickly slipping away as he tried to find somewhere to hide from it all.

He had stupidly forgotten his house keys, and Adonis was working that day so he couldn't unlock the door for him, leaving him in a bad situation of having to wait for hours to go home. And it sucked.

But just as he was about to break down, he heard a voice he had grown fond of over the past few months. "Apis? Are you okay?" Saki asked her friend, visibly worried about him.

Apis looked to his friend and tried to muster a smile but miserably failed, letting tears fall as he clung onto her.

"Please… don't let them hurt me again. I can't go back, I can't, they'll hurt me, I just know it. I'm dead if they find me, please don't make me go back… help me, please." He mumbled through his tears, he couldn't control himself when he was like this. He felt embarrassed, embarrassed that he was breaking down like this and having a breakdown in front of someone he considered a good friend.

Surprisingly to him, Saki had not pushed him away, instead pulling him closer and taking him to her house. Despite her knowing little to nothing about what he was talking about, she still comfored him. "It's okay, I won't let them take you. You'll be safe here."

By the time they had both entered her room, Apis had fainted from panic, leading Saki to lend him her bed and pull the covers over him whilst she went to get something for the both of them to eat and drink.

Nobody was home today so it left her to watch over her friend without interruptions. Suddenly, his phone received a message.

Adonis: That thunder is really loud isn't it? Hope you're ok❤️

Yikes, it was going to be complicated to explain that Apis wasn't actually seeing this message and that he had passed out. But Saki did it in the best way she knew how to.

Apis: this is Saki Tachibana, a friend of Apis from school! He's at mine rn bc he got scared by the thunder and he's sleeping thru it srry do you want me to wake him up? :)

Adonis: no, it's fine. It's nice to know that he has many good friends now. Or maybe you're more than friends🤨? Jkjk

Wait, what?

Was Apis's dad trying to suggest that they were… dating?! Saki had never even considered dating him! However..

She did find him very kind and cute. And it was so fun messing with his hair, it was always so soft and he always reacted so cutely when she accidentally touched his neck when playing with his hair with his little giggle and nose scrunch followed by his insistence that he was most definitely not ticklish on his neck despite him obviously being so. And his face was attractive as well, she had thought of kissing him before…. Wait, kissing?!

Okay, so she might like him, but there was no way that he felt the same!

Apis: omfg no💀 were not dating but Im flattered that you think I cud end up with sum1 like him XD

Adonis: uh huh, sure thing lol. If he isn't up or still at yours by half 4 then give me your address and I'll come for him.

Apis: will do.

A few hours later, Apis stirred awake and looked around before seeing Saki and realising what just happened. "Ah, Saki! I'm sorry for falling asleep in your bed, it won't happen again!" "Haha! It's fine, you were scared and you needed it, I don't mind." Saki smiled, handing him a rice ball.

"I assumed that you'd be hungry when you woke up so I made some rice balls for you, do you like it?" Apis took a bite and smiled back at her, blushing slightly. "Mmhmm! It's really nice, thank you."

There was that look again, that smile and those rosy cheeks. And those eyes… it made Saki truly realise her feelings for him.

She loved him, she actually loved someone again. She didn't even think she could love like this after her last relationship, but here she was, basking in Apis's presence, loving his existence, loving being around him.

Nope, she had to stop herself there. She was supposed to be looking after him, she could crush over him another time! "Hey, are you thirsty? I have some apple juice downstairs that I can go get if you want." Apis nodded and followed her to the kitchen, holding her hand to keep his balance stable

Saki could just feel herself overheating, his hands were strangely soft in comparison to her rough ones up, they felt like heavenly buttercream to her and she adored it.

But all of a sudden, she heard whimpering coming from him as he pulled his hand back, covering his white eye. "It must be that scar again! But how can I help him?" Saki thought, coming to a reckless conclusion.

She held his wrists gently so as to not hurt him, leant near his face and placed a gentle kiss on his white eye and scar, gaining a squeak from him. "E-Eh?! Saki, what are you doing?.."

"Oh shit! I am so sorry, I didn't know what to do and I thought that if I kissed it then the pain would go away! That was really stupid, I'm so sorry again." Saki apologised profusely before Apis interrupted. "You don't have to apologise! I… um.. actually kind of liked it.. it made me feel safe, and warm and fuzzy inside and I don't know why.. is there something wrong with me?"

Saki widened her eyes, could he feel the same thing towards her as she did to him? She had to test it.. "Hey, is it okay if I try something? You can stop if you feel weird or uncomfortable."

Apis nodded his head. Granted, he didn't know what was going to happen, but he put all of his faith and trust in Saki.

She leant near his face again, kissing his lips as she closed her eyes. She was taken by positive surprise when she felt Apis kiss back slightly, so he did feel the same way! His lips were just as soft as the rest of him, it was clear that they had been bitten out of anxiety and overall stress,but it wasn't unpleasant, it was kind.

Apis pulled away to catch his breath, his cheeks now a bright red. "I.. enjoyed that… a lot. I think that I… love you."

Saki smiled wide, her cheeks the same as his as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him I to a hug. "I love you too, Apis."

Stuff about Saki and Apis because they are so lovely 🫶

What's their relationship? Nobody knows, even I don't know :p

it keeps bouncing between "they're both aroace and good friends" and "they are so in love that it physically hurts me" so for the time being, their relationship is completely up for interpretation until I decide XD

Apis admires Saki a massive amount and enjoys being in close proximity to her because he feels safe with her.

Saki is very caring towards Apis and always watches our for him. Also, she has a tendency to kissing his scars when they hurt him to in her words, 'kiss them away' and he always gets very shy when she does this because it's literally someone giving attention to scars and wounds that he hated and didn't expect anyone to care for, so her caring for them just gets him in the heart.

Another thing about the scars! Sometimes she'll draws little patterns around them to try stop Apis from despising them so much, mostly the patterns are simple flowers and stars(cardigan by Taylor Swift fucking ruined me)

Whenever the friend group has a sleepover, they always end up holding hands and Yuki being Yuki, takes pictures and then proceeds to tease them about it in the morning.

They both like playing with each other's hair so they take it in turns to lie in each other's laps whilst the other strokes their hair.

Sometimes, Apis will have PTSD attacks because of what happened to him and more times than not, Saki will calm him down by playing slow music on her guitar

Despite her hair being so short, Saki struggles to maintain it and it usually ends up knotted and messy, so Apis makes an effort to learn how to take care of hair and help her with it

Saki compares Apis to either a baby deer or Bunny because of his curiosity and cluelessness and jokingly bought him a set of bunny ears because according to her, "he's already half way there with how he acts, he just needs the ears" XD

Apis got back at her by getting her a matching pair

She was with Apis when he met Eliphas again and she stood her ground when he tried to take him by standing between them and telling Eliphas to leave Apis alone, this made Apis only admire her more

Saki turns up unannounced at Apis's house and he's just accepted this because he does it as well so it's mutual X3

Edit: another thing I meant to mention is that they've swapped their school ties! So Apis has a bow and Saki has a tie :3

Yeah, this is gonna be a long one so buckle up XD

Also sorry for the wait for this to come out, I've had it mostly done for so long, just didn't know how to finish it!

Yuki, young girl with light brown and pink hair accompanied by heavy eye makeup, threw her bag at the roof fence, slumping down against it before giving a long and exaggerated sigh. "Ugh! I can't believe that Hayate got suspended again! He's such an ass!"

"Let me guess, another fight of his escalated?" Asked Minako, a pale girl who's purple eyes were highlighted by her bright grey hair and dark cardigan. The purple eyed middle schooler handed the other a bottle of water and watched as she gulped it all down, sighing with delight as she finished the water.

"Ahhh, that's good shit. Thanks, sugar!" The mentioned girl blushed at the nickname as her eyes softened, just then did she notice something. "Wait, where's Saki? She isn't usually this late." "You're right, where is she?" Yuki said and not a moment later, the doors to the roof were pushed open by their friend.

Saki stopped in front of the two girls and clutched her chest, catching her breath before apologising. "Sorry that I'm so late! I was taking the new kid to the nurses office."

This sparked Minako's attention, a new student in the middle of the year? "Huh, why'd he have to go?" The gyaru said. "He didn't tell me, but he looked ill." Saki said, it was obvious that she was worried about him despite just meeting him.

"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting you two, but who is this new student? I've never heard about him." Minako asked, gaining an answer from Yuki.

"His name is Apis Subaru! Well, at least I think it is, he didn't really tell me when I was showing him around. He didn't talk alot when I met him, I think he's an introvert? Eh, who knows, that guy's a mystery." Yuki explains, constantly moving her hands whilst doing so. "He seems nice enough, but I don't think the poor guy has any friends! And he has heterochromia as well, I'm not sure if it's a contact lense or not but it totally rocks!"

"If he doesn't seem to have any friends, then why don't we try being his friends?" Minako suggested, gaining a nod of the head from the other two. "I guess that could work! Okay, tomorrow, I'll invite him to have break and lunch with us." Saki decided,

The next day, Saki waited for the break to start before she walked her way over to Apis, noticing how he had a scar across his eye, that must've been what Yuki was talking about.

He looked at Saki and closed his eyes, giving her a small smile. "... Thank you… for yesterday… I really do appreciate it."

"Aren't you gonna go anywhere for break?" Saki asked the boy, causing him to simply shake his head, his hair swaying as he did. "No…. I don't really know anybody here… and I don't want to cause a distraction for anyone else by following them.."

Saki was filled with sympathy for him, it was clear that he didn't have a very good opinion of himself. In a way, she could see her younger self in him, and this only made her more determined to be his friend.

She smiled before offering him a hand. "Well if you don't have anyone to hang out with, why don't you come with me? It'll stop you from being lonely." "Are you sure? I.. don't want you to feel like you have to be my friend just because you pity me." Apis said before his classmate grabbed his hand, pulling him out of his seat and guiding him to the roof.

Saki was so much different from him, she was confident and didn't seem to care what people thought about her, he wished he could be like her.

By the time the two middle schoolers had got to the roof, Apis was already a bit out of breath, he wasn't yet used to running that quick yet.

"You really weren't kidding on your stubbornness to get him here, huh?" Yuki laughed, watching as the two sat down. "Nah, you know me, I never go back on a promise." Apis felt strange to be around the three girls on the roof, it reminded him far too much of the time Yuma and the rest of the Numbers club spent having lunch on the roof.

He was pulled out of his thoughts by Yuki complimenting him. "Oh my god, you wear elf ears to school? That's so rad! Kinda cute as well, where'd you get them?" "Uhmm, thank.. you? I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean.." He mumbled, said ears moved down as he tried to edge away from the girl questioning him.

She dramatically gasps, eyes widening as she covers her mouth. "They fucking move as well?! That's hella sick! You know what? You got a nice aesthetic going on right now and I'm digging it!" Apis didn't know how to respond, he didn't remember the last time he was complimented in such a way. All he could do was sit there.

As Yuki was gushing about nothing in particular to him, she noticed something quite worrying. "Wait, have you had any food yet? You look starving!" "Huh? Oh, I must've forgotten my food this morning." Apis replied, he had completely forgotten about eating and left the lunch that his dad had made for him at home, this happened yesterday and was the reason he went to the nurses office before fainting from hunger.

"um." Finally after watching Apis and getting a bit jealous over her girlfriend giving more attention to him, Minako speaks, offering her food to him. "I always have a tendency to pack too much food for myself, so you can have some of mine if you want, it'll stop you being hungry."

Apis was filled with a strange feeling in his heart for the rest of the day, it reminded him of the warmth and comfort that he felt with Yuma and the others.

He was going to feel very safe in this new town, he just knew it.

Hey, do you remember when I said that nobody else knew where Apis and Adonis went?

Yeah, that was a fucking lie. There is one person who knows about it, Dark Mist.

In the AU(and is pretty much canon in my eyes XD) Apis brought Dark Mist back from being a puppet because he felt it was unfair that other people got a second chance and he didn't. He was the only person that Apis told before leaving and Mist tried everything he could to prevent the others from finding him.

Mist didn't tell anyone else, he dodged questions like bullets and even tampered with the research that Kaito/Kite and the Arclights were conducting, just to keep Apis and his father safe.

But, of course, all of his efforts failed because he was found anyway :(

I'm finally picking back up on the Alito side-plot thing! Some of the stuff with the Apis centered tho because brain rot + writing ability = a lot of content about said brain rot

It takes a long while for Apis to properly handle intense emotions especially after having to hide them for so long, so he tends to get a bit too aggressive when he's angry so Alito decided to pick up on the signs that Apis is getting too frustrated/angry and starts fighting him to relive his anger. Alito always holds back during those moments and just lets Apis tire himself out to the point of fainting so he can carry him to wherever they need to be.

During about the first few weeks of Alito living with them, both Apis and he were jealous of each other to some extent. Apis was jealous of Alito because he still kept contact with some of his friends in Heartland City and Alito was jealous of Apis because he thought that his life was care free but they soon came to the understanding that both of them were suffering in their own ways.

Alito finds out that Apis is scared of cats and takes the 'protective big brother' role to heart and stares down any stray cat that even gets a bit close to them, it gets to the point where Alito messages Cathy to get the cats to stay away from Apis and it just leaves her confused because 1) she didn't even know who Apis was, and 2) she didn't even know where he was.

Although he is very protective of Apis, Alito also likes teasing him a bit by hiding his bunny plushies and then acting clueless when he asks where they went.

Adonis was very surprised but grateful that they got along so quickly and is never not surprised by how much time they spend together, he has so many pictures of those two being stupid together it's unreal

Apis likes buying Alito jewelry like rings and earrings as much as he can and Alito always tears up when he does because "I have the best brother ever!" And each time he hugs Apis.

They both have very common nightmares about what happened in the past so whenever it happens, one of them will always crawl into the others bed and hugs them to sleep.

Whenever Apis goes mute, Alito will talk for him and will start arguments when someone is disrespectful towards him when he goes mute

When Alito finds out that Apis used to be Astral, he immediately runs home just to apologize to him for what he did back then and that it was nothing against him

The realization also makes him even more protective over him because, if he were to die if he so much as lost a duel back then, then probably is even more fragile as a human, right?

Yeah, let's just say that once Akari/Kari got too close to Apis once and Alito instantly starting fighting her to protect him.

I will be much more active in the coming weeks because I officially finished highschool on Thursday! More specifically after Tuesday I will be even more active because that is my final exam! Thank you again for being so patient with me!
