i will say. and i am sorry to say it. that the first episode of dead boy detectives should have been AT LEAST 2 episodes. i’m feeling like maybe i passed out and missed half of the scenes i was supposed to watch. i’m feeling insane.

and this is NOT DBD’s fault! we should all be killing netflix and every other streamer with our minds for making all seasons 10 episodes or less and forcing shows to strip every moment of character development and plot progression to the bones. until literally nothing makes sense. until it’s all fucking unwatchable and bizarre. and then it all gets cancelled anyway!

#yeah :/ #I love dbd with my whole heart and they did a brilliant job with what they had #but MAN this is a show that should've had at LEAST 15 episodes per season like in Ye Olden Days #with plenty of fluff filler episodes which are just the establishment of Charles and Edwin's dynamics and fun cases #and then be able to focus on the plot more and not shove so much character development into such a short space of time #just for example I feel like charles' breakdown in ep3 would have been even more heartwrenching if we'd had the time to get to know him mor #seeing more of that sunny exterior but gradually being shown the cracks and hints at a darker past #(that being said I still love that episode and again I think they handled it really well all things considered) #I'm with you op my issue isn't with the writers it's with the streaming services #anyway who's with me to go hold these ceos hostage until we get good tv back :))) #dead boy detectives

I love dead boy detectives because I’m obsessed with Edwin and Charles’s dynamic. Like, they’re queer platonic, their best friends, they’re in love, they piss each other off, they would go to the end of the earth for each other, they’re punk vs. prep, they’re everything to me you don’t understand

The weirdest guy I ever met in a church was this boy who referred to “Buzz Aldrin and his husband” going to the moon. I was completely baffled, and when I asked if he’d misspoken, he got really angry and accused me of being deliberately ignorant of the facts.
