Parental figures who curiously pose together well when they are together for a wild kid (neo3) ☝️ (Like those movie posters LMAO)
They complement each other very well and Neo3 is a parentless young Octoling with "Inkling personality and culture" so he sees them as an example to follow in both ways. 🥺 In terms of combat, Three as the captain would teach him more how to fight and Eight is the emotional support part because he doesn't like fighting (and is very absent in the Squidbeak Splatoon, but sometimes he happens to be there) and is more into fashion and songs stuff despite being the one who has had it the hardest.
This video gets a little crazier when I imagined this with them shortly after Four had welcomed Eight into her apartment as roommates CLEARLY knowing there was something weird about him but not knowing what. >8D
OMG... I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THAT (I usually don't loredump until someone asks me LOL)
It all started with Eight really! Eight is a powerful soldier but nobody never realized his potential due to his low rank and calm personality. In the events of "Inner Agent 3", Eight separated from his group to fight this public enemy of the Octarians alone since everyone was with their heads elsewhere due to Octavio and the Squid Sisters.
Eight and Three had the first difficult but enjoyable battle of their lives. This fast inkling with many skills and this octoling who had nothing except the knowledge of him fighting hard without a winner for minutes. Technically Eight won, but they were interrupted, so that didn't count.
In "Octo Expansion", Eight became a pacifist without liking to fight too much but is forced due to the tests. However, because of his amnesia, he does not know why he feels that something is missing, as if he were forgetting the best feeling he has ever experienced. That was his fight against Agent 3.
Then that turned into a crush with her. Agent 3 is confused at first, but the feeling was mutual. Basically "he who seeks, finds" because he looked for Three and the couple came naturally!
(EXTRA)
There is a legend that Three attracted Eight with the charm that she uses on her Hero gear. She's not very interested in romance, but Cuttlefish insisted because "oooh, you're so youuung".
Those are my ocs! Kinda. XD The little one is Eight. In my interpretation of the game, there are not many boys in the Octarian Army but he wanted to feel useful and have a bigger role, she (his mentor) helps him because she admires his decision, even so she thinks he lacks "a special touch"
The boys are left behind in support of machinery, repair and engineering in general. It's useful, but it's not as exciting as having a weapon. 🙌 The thought of being able to experience the action and get out of the comfort zone a little more sounds interesting to some.
PS: This is all headcannon!
" To survive the Octarian Army, you have to fight like a girl "
Ooooh, I have received diverse comments in tags for the last drawing and I am genuinely surprised because I hesitated whether to give that title but that was the thing people noticed the most! 🤔 In the end I left it because it's literally what I named it in the file.
I think that without knowing it I also started to think how interesting a "role reverse" is where women are the ones associated with wars instead of boys.
"Fight like a girl" has been used as a bad thing before, but I suppose in the context of the world it would be one that many use with courage and admiration. Since my Agent 8 is a boy, it's interesting to explore how that phrase could encourage him.
