Feminist fantasy is funny sometimes in how much it wants to shit on femininity for no goddamned reason. Like the whole “skirts are tools of the patriarchy made to cripple women into immobility, breeches are much better” thing.

(Let’s get it straight: Most societies over history have defaulted to skirts for everyone because you don’t have to take anything off to relieve yourself, you just have to squat down or lift your skirts and go. The main advantage of bifurcated garments is they make it easier to ride horses. But Western men wear pants so women wearing pants has become ~the universal symbol of gender equality~)

The book I’m reading literally just had its medievalesque heroine declare that peasant women wear breeches to work in the field because “You can’t swing a scythe in a skirt!”

Fun song! Love the choreo and that outfit with the pigtails and big boots in the performance video. It became famous and made it in the Spotify billions club for a reason 😏

Although... The lyrics... And the blaccent... And the braids... And sorry Lisa I know you're insecure abt ur singing but that prechorus... 😬😬😬 So yeah, I don't like it very much, but I can see why most people do!

Frankly, I LOVE the instrumental, and the chorus is so fun (and the choreo!!), and I think the switch-ups at the end worked well. And OHHH the MV was SO GOOD. The sets and outfits were gorgeous!! Also, the most badass thing you can do is name a song after yourself. Love her for that.

I was actually really disappointed when this came out... To me, it just sounds like a SOLO 2.0, which is really a shame since Jisoo has so much potential. UGH, why couldn't YG give her a rock/ballad thingy like we begged for 😩

Anyways, the song is good and fun to sing, the dance is fun, it went viral, the outfits are 🔥🔥🔥

Why you shouldn’t say Latinos are people of colour

1. Not every Latino is a person of colour. 

To say Latinos are people of colour is to say that white Latinos are somehow less Latino than their non-white counterparts.

2. Latino isn’t a race.

Latinos can be literally any race.

To say that Latinos are a race when we’re not implies that we’re a monolithic group of people that “all look the same”.
