whispertemptedâ:
â Och, no - shoes can be replaced! Victims â- â A pause, a twist of his lips. There was a flaw to that logic, he realized. â Too. Ah, well, maybe youâre correct. â Pressing a hand to his chest, vampire made quite the show of pressing a hand to his chest in shock, brows lifting, pouty lips parting. â Are you saying what I think youâre saying, my dear? That youâre not happy to see me? You wound me. Did you not like our time together in Prague? Or when we met at the Han river? Dru. â Her name, spoken in a whine, eyes gaining a puppy-like quality.
âI see the years apart have bestowed some knowledge on you--- that Iâm always right.â Her eyes gleamed with admiration and a hint of mirth. She watched, amused, as her fellow original jumped from one conclusion to another and waited patiently for the look of wide eyed innocence she knew was coming. When it hit her she was pleased to realize that Jae had less of an effect (so far) on her now than in the past.  âSince when have I ever been unhappy to see you? The problem lies not there but in the fact that perhaps I had a little too much fun in Prague.â Images of pale and twisted corpses flashed through her mind, the feel of their blood on her hands nearly tactile in the strength of the memory. âFun that seems to be repeating itself in this rickety excuse for a town---- despite the fact that Iâve managed to relatively behave myself and you just arrived.â

âA sacrifice--- right. I see youâre as careless with your belongings as you are your victims,â she answered with a dramatic roll of her eyes. All week there had been whispers of another original vampire in town and Druscilla had been hell-bent on finding out who. With only seven of them in the world that only left so many options--- Jae being the one who worried the vampire the most. âItâs been a century or two, Jae. What brought you to Arcane Falls of all places?âÂ
                               â My shoe? âÂ
There was a moment of sheer confusion, misunderstanding clear upon deceptively innocent features ; a spectacle of brows dipping, lips twisting, nose scrunching, and then â- enlightenment. â Ah, yes - now I remember. The giant mud puddle down the road demanded a sacrifice. â
open, if you dare

ânow how could i forget a name like that. iâm so sorry, dear.â noah shook her head; she knew the answer was her forgetful brain mixed with alcohol, but she couldnât help but feel a bit bad. the name was most certainly uncommonâ didnât seem like an easy one to forget, but here we were. âwell, thatâs your idea of a dream destination. truth isâŠiâm lookinâ for someone.â
Druscilla dipped her head in concession. âIâll give you that--- thereâs a reason why London is on the list for some people, though for the life of me Iâll never understand why.â The wine glass rattled against the bar top as she set it down, empty, her eyes scanning the bodies packed around the bar. With so many mortals in one place she could hear their heartbeats thrumming in a current under the mixture of bad karaoke and drunken yelling. âIâd consider myself well versed in the town population. Who are you looking for? Maybe I can help.âÂ

HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN
20 days left
â Vampires
âA vampire lives in a constant state of desire and disgust. Their nature often revolts them, but they donât have the will to deny their indulgences. Thereâs the killing, but thereâs also the pleasure, the sensuality, the lust. The sheer ecstasy of it all.â

Druscilla took inventory of the pale corpses littered around her kin with a quiet laugh. The sight was all too familiar- resembling both the day Dru had found Winona and many of their hunts back in San Francisco. âAnd who says this isnât a sight for sore eyes? It certainly brings me back,â she mused, throat tightening at the sight of scattered blood drops. âThough I will say youâre lucky itâs me who found you and not the plucky hunters who have been rolling into town. Which brings me to my original question--- have you found Sandy yet?âÂ
â despite what this looks like, i promise iâve been on my absolute best behavior. â the older appearing woman voiced - southern belle accent as sweet as the tea she used to drink - as soon as her secondary sire came into view. of course, her actual sire was long gone; no, dru was simply the one who had pried the abandoned, newbie vamp off the streets and taught her the ropes. if it wasnât for the ORIGINAL, the blonde knows she would have gotten herself killed. a second time. âiâve just been a little starved, is all. you know how my nerves always got the best of my hunger.â several bodies lie around her, blood drained and eyes frozen wide in horror. not exactly a pretty sight to see, but winonaâs gotten used to her monstrous survival. a little too used to it, when it suits her. âwanted to come to you looking like a sight for sore eyes, not a sore sight to see. but i see youâve beat me to the punchline.â

"A vampire? Are you gonna drink my blood?"
"Nah, that's a stereotype. I'm actually going to eat your heart."

ă â⥠â â âit is an exclusive,â she drawled out, tone slow and confident, laced with arrogance as nikola carefully unwrapped her prized possession. unfinished sketches decorated yellow-stained papers, marred by time. werenât them too marred by time? she could not tell when looking at druscilla. perhaps nikola didnât want to know, not when conversations with the other were full of ease and comfort. nikola didnât want to ruin it by thinking how time would torment their lives for the rest of eternity. but how could she not, when her eyes fell to the sketches and she was reminded of a friend long gone, his talented hands leaving a hole in her rotten soul. and in society, but she did not much care for them.
âa present,â she continued with a clear of her throat, leaning against the table and taking a long sip of her wine, allowing dru access to the pages. âhe gave it to me after i gifted him with a body or two. has your writer ever left anything behind for you?â her question came from genuine interest. she did not need to brag, not to druscilla. they had seen much of the same things, that she knew.
@originaldruscilla
Dru handled the pages like the treasures they were, balancing them on the tips of her fingers for fear of leaving any evidence of her touch. âAhh, Da Vinci,â she breathed, her mind travelling back to images of the Italian Renaissance. âHow I wish I could go back in time to make a detour to Italy.â Regret was a funny thing when you were over two thousand years old. It was one of the most infuriatingly mortal qualities she still possessed. Dru swapped out the pictures for her glass of wine, careful to place them gently out of reach from their drinks.Â
âA signed manuscript of The Taming of the Shrew. It was written just three years after we had the good fortune of meeting. When we met for the performance he swore that I had inspired him to write the character of Bianca, the ingenue,â she explained before a quick roll of her eyes. âBut you know how fickle writerâs are. He might have just been saying that to win over my favor.â She took a long sip of her wine, the full bodied flavor speaking to both the money and taste her friend held. âAnd if it was true he clearly didnât know me well.â

âDruscilla--- but you can call me Dru,â the vampire repeated between sips of cheap red wine. The Deep Sea Dive Bar was far from her list of favorite haunts but the liquor was blessedly cheap, a fact she was thankful for as she attempted to reign in her annoyance. It had been a long day and it wouldnât be fair to take it out on the one person who sought out a pleasant conversation with her. âSo tell me, Noah- what brought you to Arcane Falls? Donât get me wrong, I love the place but it doesnât exactly scream dream destination.âÂ
it was another late night at the deep dive sea bar; this was turning out to be one of noahâs favorite places in arcane falls. she began to make it a routine to spend her afternoons at the bar, watching others and making new friends. the blonde found herself taking a strong liking towards the town.Â
tonight, she decided to switch things up by sitting across the bar instead of her usual spot. there she was, chatting up another person while 2 Âœ drinks in. â donât tell meâ i totally know it. â noah twirled the two straws in her cocktail, biting her lower lip. she really wanted to remember, but of course, she couldnât. thank god she never forgot how to breathe. within a minute, she let out a groan, dropping her shoulders. âokay, i forgot. tell me again ? â
