This is a fairly common thing across many countries I believe (my reference is that it happens in Scotland and Norway). The Men/Dads insist on handling the meat, even when their wives are better cooks. There's not as much specific BBQ-culture though, usually they consist of hot dogs, burgers, maybe a steak or a chicken, pulled pork, etc. If you're in Europe and see something advertised as being "BBQ flavoured", that usually just means they dunked it in Sweet Baby Ray's before serving (it's so sweet and gross)
Humble american fool here and I need to know. Do you guys do backyard barbecues in Scotland or would I have to give that up if I moved there
Yeah they are pretty common although not sure if you’re talking full on southern BBQ with a fancy smoker etc
I always love it when you get to see the difference in pupil sizes depending on lighting. And Sorbet gets such an adorable little blush snoot when she's getting sheddy too!
Actually how hard is it to keep your dog on a goddamn leash when you're around other animals!? I went to see them just the other day, and now there will only be 2 of them left (last year they successfully raised all 4 babies to adulthood)! I can't stand people
Oh my god it's the soup king himself!!! Looks like a nice assortment, too. I do love a nice big bowl of tonkotsu, there's nothing else quite as healing as bone broth ☺️
Pastrydad caught my cold (as usual), and then later gave it back, but this time it's worse (as things tend to be for me) so I'm just laying around on the mattress with a stuffy head/nose, sore throat, sweating, sneezing, coughing, I've got it all.
Leave it to me to unlock new, terrifying ways of fucking up
Just had a very unpleasant experience for the first time - I coughed while taking meds, thus inhaling one of the pills into my nose/sinuses 😩 It burned like a bitch! After drinking a bunch of water, eating some food, blowing my nose a bunch, etc. I think the worst is over; at least it's a lot more bearable now
