its so interesting when they make claims like "men including trans men make women unsafe" like have you spoke to trans men ever. i was harrassed by cis women as a little gnc girl and ive been harrassed by cis women as an adult trans man. i assure you that however unsafe trans men are making women feel, there are at least equally as many cis women who are making trans men feel just as unsafe
It honestly just feels like Lesbophobia: Two! to me. like woooow you think this group of gender-oppressed people is too scary and sexual and has too much male energy so they can't be trusted in safe spaces? that's so original

Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:
Mob (Yakuza, Mafia)
Psycho (violent person with "crazy" behaviors)
Thus: a particularly violent member of organized crime.
But in Japanese it scans as:
Mob (background characters in crowd scenes in manga or anime)
Psycho (short for psychic)
Thus: a psychic who looks/acts like someone you'd never pick out of a crowd scene in a comic.

the scariest thing about old tv isnt really the racism or the sexisim because you kinda go in braced for that it's all the scenes where suddenly an actress is holding a lion cub or a chimpanzee is in the same room as a toddler, or suddenly theres a lion, or there's a chimpanzee again but it's driving a car, or holding a lighter, or holding fireworks. You just kind of watch in horror as over and over an actress performs with only 1960s tv film shootings best animal handling between her and the opening to Nope.

I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way but Europe is kinda like a miniature America. All the landscapes and trees and stuff are SMALL, they're little versions of the stuff we got going on over here. Even your big things, like the alps, are so cute. You could put a fun roller coaster up there and make it a little ride for the kids.

Well you see minors under 25 years old should not be allowed to get gender reassignment surgery because what if they go to the clinic but instead of giving them a normal penis the nurses mess up and give them the evil penis. That's irreversible

Thinking about how the other day, I was complaining about how otc pain meds do literally nothing for me, and someone was going "what about tylenol" and I said it does literally nothing and she was like "what about tylenol extra strength" and I asked her what dosage it was that would be helpful compared to any other kind of tylenol, and then she just started ignoring me.
This was in person btw and I was having a severe migraine, saying I wished there was something I could take to help with it. Tylenol is basically a sugar pill it does not help with pain, I'm so fucking sick of people constantly trying to tell me to take Tylenol for headaches and other miscellaneous pain as if its some kind of helpful solution.

There is a thrift store near where I live where I live where if you show your food stamps card, you can get some free clothes once a month. (The upstairs section of the place is all clothes, and downstairs is secondhand items sold for cash for super cheap).
Anyways, I was there getting baby clothes as I'm pregnant and about to have a baby, and the woman at the counter absolutely grilled me over getting the clothes. I pointed out that I had no issues last time getting the baby clothes, and the woman said they shouldn't have let me. She was going on this whole spiel about how I can't get clothes for free for my friends/family/cousins/etc, only for myself.
I literally stated multiple times that I was pregnant, and it wasn't until I said, "I'm having a baby," that she like halfway understood, and let me get the clothes without paying cash. She switched from grilling me on the rules to making small talk about her nephew having a baby.
When I told my bf about it (he'd already gone downstairs by the time this happened), he said that I should've explained that I was trans, but tbh I think that would've confused her even more. I'm not upset by this or anything, I just find it funny.
I'm rapidly approaching the 3rd trimester, and I pass well enough that I feel like even once I'm around 9 months pregnant, I'll still have people not even considering that I might be pregnant even if I tell them.

the fact that Stardew Valley is a $15 indie game that came out almost a decade ago with zero microtransactions and is still receiving free DLC updates to this day is absolutely bonkers. There are $50-60 AAA games with paid DLC that have come out more recently and aren’t nearly as actively supported or updated.
