hey, y'all. this month has been pretty rough for me financially, with a bunch of unexpected bills i had to pay and even having to deal with taking in another pet and the expenses that ensued. i asked for help with that before and got it, for which i am very grateful as i could not have taken her to the vet without it, but now i'm having to deal with food and medicine expenses that i ended up putting off because of that and that i have no way to handle right now.

okay americans i gotta ask because as an European i grew up with lots of american shows and cartoons and in a lot of them there was an episode where they give the protags a doll or an egg or a bag of flour or whatever and told them pretend to be its parents or something

one reason why i think hypnos will end up being more relevant to the story than we might initially assume in hades 2 is because melinoë is known as the goddess of both ghosts and nightmares. we see her connections with ghosts quite plainly already, with how they even implemented her helping to guide lost souls as a game feature, but we haven't seen much of the nightmare part of her yet, and i think it stands to reason that a goddess connected with dreams and illusions should be closely aligned with the god of sleep

#melinoë is quite different to zagreus really because she has a much more established role in greek mythology #and so far the game is maintaining her characteristics. so her being revealed as a bringer of nightmares is only a matter of time imo #pair that with the fact that she already is pretty attached to hypnos and i can see something interesting happening #hades 2
