@elysiankitty said: I've always wanted someone to write what might've happened if it had been Asi who found Alaz that first night, with no Ruya or Yaman. I thought about doing it myself, but I'm not much of a writer.
thank you for this idea!!
feel free to send me head canons/requests/anything aslaz related
.
It was one of these nights where Asi simply needed to be out in the open.
It was strange considering she had spent a considerable time in her life dreaming of a roof over their heads to keep them secure, a warm bed and a door for a privacy. She had it now and she was content with her squeky bed and a room that smelled a little of mold and humidity yet some nights she just wished to breathe out in the open.
Maybe you could never get rid of the street kid you had inside of yourself, she had to wait and see.
Yaman was working that night and Cesur was having an early night in. Asi was feeling restless. She went out in her pijamas which were her old joggers and a band t-shirt Yaman had bought years ago, with her leather jacket on top. She was feeling chilly but the cold was a welcalmed addition to calm her mind in this restless night.
Her thoughts (that were all over the place to begin with) were interrupted with a loud engine sound and a distant club music blasting from the speakers.
She rolled her eyes at the audacity, at this hour of the night and at this neighbourhood it had guts to drive around like that.
She turned around to see the car and was blinded by the headlight and well, the car was moving towards her too fast and she barely threw herself of road.
The car stopped with tires screaming with the force of it, the music was still blasting as she heard someone getting out of the car.
She groaned a little as she rolled on to her back, her arm was hurting a little.
"Hey, sorry I didn-"
"Are you fucking crazy?" She yelled as she sat up, she was fuming. "You entiled rich bastard, almost fucking killed me!"
She got up and tried to get rid of the dust on herself.
"Well, you were the one on the road," the guy muttered which made Asi even angrier. She looked up with a frown on her face.
"DOES THAT MEAN YOU CAN KILL ME, YOU FUCKING IDIOT?"
She moved forward and the guy took a step back with his hands above the air in surrender. His hair was ruffled and he was swaying a little bit, barely standing still. "Wow, easy there girl. You are the one with a possible murder charge here, with that murderous look in your eyes."
The guy laughed, he looked young and hadsome when he did. With that Asi punched him across the face.
"FUCK!" The guy yelled as he stepped back and fall down on his back like a rag doll. Asi could smell the booze off of him now, could see his white shirt clining on to his chest with sweat. She stared at him as he laid down with an arm drapped over his eyes, and his face squmished with pain.
Of course the rich asshole was drunk or high or both, and she had knocked him down.
Asi started to feel a little anxious, she did not want an actual murder charge on her hands on a random Friday. She moved closer and nudged him with her shoe, she could see his chest raising and falling which was a relief but there was no response. "Hey, asshole. Wake up," she said.
Oh god, was he brain dead or something?
She crouched next to him, his lip was bleeding from her punch and in her opinion it was well deserved. Such a pity that the bastard had a pretty face and she had to mess it up a litile.
"Come on, wake up," she said again. The music was blasting and the car screaming a techno song still and Asi felt like throwing up. "Hey! Are you ok-"
As she grabbed him by his shoulders and shook a little, he grabbed her by the wrist and smiled. "I think you deserved this scare," he opened his eyes with a mischievous glint in them. Asi yanked her hand and sat down as she stumbled back.
"You are such an asshole. Goodbye," she spat out as she got up.
The guy chuckled, and then subsequently started coughing in pain. "Don't go! My head hurts, you broke me, you fix me," he demanded but it felt childlike instead of commanding to Asi. He tried to sit up on the pavement and groanad in pain a little. He touched the back of his head and there was a little blood on her finger tips.
Great, fucking great.
"The weather is so nice. Should we go dancing?" He barely got up on his feet swaying from side to side and Asi had to hold him by the shoulder to prevent him from falling again.
"You are about to die you idiot, you might have concussion! Stay still," she said.
"But its so hot! I wanna swim."
Asi groaned as the guy ckumsily tried to unbutton his shirt, while she struglled to keep him still. He managed to get one open, she could see a silver chain dangling on his neck, some chest hair and smooth looking skin.
"You're gonna freeze, stop it!" She hissed ande grabbed him by his wrist. His hands were beautiful, fingers long and lean, decorated by several stylish rings.
The guy finally stopped moving and stared at her as if it was the first time. He was breathing heavy with his lips slightly parted, they were standing close now. His pupils were dialeted and eyes were unfocused but Asi could feel he was coming down off of what ever was running in his blood stream.
"You are so fucking pretty," he stated, there were no hint of any game, just observation.
Just when Asi was about to push him away the guy grimaced dropping his head on her shoulder. Their hands were trapped between thier chests and Asi heard a low groan. "I think I'm gonna puke."
Asi pushed him just in time and let him hold her arms as he moved forward and threw up on the ground.
"Its Alaz by the way," he said after coughing for almost a minute.
It was gonna be a long night.
.

Two Aslaz fics in less than 24 hours? I know-I can-I practise 😎
I saw this pic and immediately imagined this mess of legs being Aslaz 🙈😂
Tumblr media
Remember that house where Alaz hid Rüya and her father? Because I do as well as Alaz's promise to take Asi there for some alone time 😏 So here comes some Aslaz sexy times hotness, humour, fluff and silliness and a pinch of sadness.
I don't own the show or any of the characters. They belong to the Yabani writers and the production company. This is only fanfiction.
____________________________________________
Compromising Positions and Unshakable Faith
Alaz is staring at the ceiling, trying to catch his breath. Asi is sprawled on top of him, breathing just as hard. Their limbs are tangled together and their overheated bodies are glistening with sweat.
"Wow ... We really are the best at this" Alaz mumbles into the crown of Asi's head.
"Shut up!" she slaps his chest and hides her face in embarrassment.
"What? Just stating facts" Alaz says with a cocky smile.
Asi moves to roll off of him but Alaz catches her by the waist and secures her position on top of him. She squirms a little which draws attention of a particular part of Alaz's body.
"Again?" Asi asks incredulously.
"Always" Alaz responds with a shit-eating grin and a devilish glint in his eyes.
He flips them over, making Asi yelp in surprise. Her legs fall open and he settles comfortably between them. When he brushes at her, a groan escapes her, which makes Alaz frown in worry.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just a little sore".
"In that case, round three can wait".
Alaz bumps Asi's nose with his and moves to her lips to drop a short kiss but Asi winds her arms around his neck, pulling him closer and opening her mouth. At the touch of her tongue, Alaz can feel the skin tingling all over his body. He's getting lost in their kiss when he suddenly feels Asi stiffen and pull back slightly only to whisper:
"You heard that?"
With his brain turned into a complete mush the only thing Alaz can master is:
"Hm?"
"I heard something. A car? Oh my god! You said noone ever comes here!"
"Noone does!"
"Then why do I hear voices?"
"What voices? There are no vo..."
And then Alaz also hears an undeniable sound of two voices he'll recognise anywhere - his mother's and the other belonging to his twin sister.
He looks down at Asi whose eyes have gotten comically wide. She starts whisper yelling:
"Oh my god oh my god oh my god! You have to hide me!"
She pushes him off of her and Alaz lands on his back with an oof .
"I have to what now?" he asks in disbelief all the while watching Asi wrap herself in a sheet hustily and clumber out of bed.
"HIDE ME!"
Before Alaz can say something they both hear the front door open downstairs, the voices of his mother and Çağla getting louder.
Alaz leans back on his elbows and looks at Asi who's clutching the sheet to her chest.
"Güzelim, I am not going to hide you like some dirty little secret. And it's not like they don't know about us".
"Well, they don't know about this" Asi all but hisses at him, gesturing between them with a finger.
"I think it's pretty obvious to them that this happens as well" Alaz throws back wiggling his eyebrows.
"You won't be getting any of this any time soon if you don't hide me!" Asi threatens just as they hear Çağla at the bottom of the stairs:
"Mom, I think someone's in here. Must be Alaz. Alaz?!"
Asi in a full blown panic mode looks around the room frantically. And just as Alaz opens his mouth to yell out a response to his sister, Asi darts to a walk-in closet, throws one of the doors open and all but jumps inside.
"Alaz?! Alaz! Are you in here?" Çağla's voice is getting closer and Alaz lets out a short laugh and shouts:
"I'm here! In the bedroom!"
Given that Asi took the sheet with her, there's nothing else to cover himself with but her pillow. Which Alaz strategically places over his groin just as Çağla opens the bedroom door.
"Hey, what are you doing he... OH MY GOD! MY EYES!"
Çağla covers her eyes as she yells and turns away from Alaz quickly.
"Oh my god! Why are you naked??!!"
Alaz doesn't have time to answer that because he hears his mother's voice alarmingly close:
"Çağla, what's happening? Is your brother here? Alaz, oğlum, what ... Oh!"
Neslihan isn't as vocal in her reaction as Çağla but she does turn away quickly as well.
"Oğlum, what are you doing here?" Neslihan asks just when Çağla jumps in with:
"Are you here with someone? Well, it's obvious you're here with someone. Wait a second! Are you cheating on Asi?!!!"
Suddenly all horror and embarrassment forgotten, Çağla whirls around and stares furiously at Alaz who all but squeaks out:
"What?!!"
Neslihan also turns to face him, disapproval written all over her face.
"What ... Why are you looking at me like that? I am not cheating on Asi!"
"Well, your are in quite a compromising position!" Çağla throws, gesturing vaguely at Alaz and his overall state of undress.
"First of all, I know that she'll feed my dick to dogs if I so much as think of anything like that. Second of all, I can't even get it up if it's not Asi ..."
"Oh god, TMI !" Çağla yells but Alaz continues:
" And the third: why, instead of thinking I am with Asi, would you rather think I am a cheater???"
"Well, where is she?" Neslihan asks.
"In the closet".
Both Neslihan and Çağla raise their eyebrows incredulously.
"In the closet? What is she doing in there?"
Alaz shrugs with one shoulder and says:
"Hiding".
"Hiding?"
"Yes, she's embarrassed" Alaz says and adds a little louder, for Asi:
"Asi, can you, please, yell something out from in there so that my mother and sister know I'm not a cheater?"
There's a pregnant pause where Alaz stares at the closet doors and his mother and sister stare at him expectantly. Then they all hear a muffled:
"Çağla, Neslihan Teyze, don't yell at him, he's not a cheater!"
Alaz looks at his mother and sister with a triumphant "See?" written all over his face.
Both women at least have the decency to look contrite.
"Okay, we'll just ... leave you two to ... to get dressed" says Neslihan and pulls at Çağla's hand.
Just when they leave the room, closing the door behind them, Alaz throws away the pillow and jumps out of bed.
"Asi? You can come out, they're gone" he says, picking his pants up from the floor and pulling them on.
When there's no reply or any sign of movement, Alaz goes to the closet, knocks on one of the doors and pulls it open, only to see Asi sitting there, face hidden behind her palms. He crouches down to be eye level with her and pulls her hands gently away from her face:
"Hey! Is this where we live now?"
Asi just nods.
"Okay. Make some room for me then" Alaz says.
Asi moves a little, freeing enough space for Alaz to get inside the closet as well and sit next to her. He throws an arm over Asi's shoulders and pulls her into his side.
All the comedy of the situation dissipates suddenly and Alaz is left with a heavy feeling. His mother and his sister thought the worst of him yet again. It seems that Asi can read his mind because she puts her hand over his heart and says quietly:
"Don't go there. I know you'll never do that to me and to us".
"I swear I will never. I'd rather die".
"I know" Asi repeats and turns her face to press a kiss into his collarbone.
They sit quietly for a few minutes until Asi breaks the silence:
"We should go down. Your mom and Çağla are waiting".
"Can we just stay here a little longer?" Alaz whispers.
Asi snuggles closer to him and whispers back:
"Yes, we can".
And here - in their little cocoon of love - Alaz realizes that it's only Asi's faith in him that he needs.

For Aslaz headcanons: after they start kinda dating Asi starts borrowing jewelry and pieces of clothing from Alaz which makes him unreasonably happy because it's as if he's always touching her and also demonstrates to everyone around that she's his (not in the ownership sense but in a "Asi excepted Alaz" sense)
i think i will use my other account @queenofpurgatoryq for aslaz writing so hmu there and give me head canons or requests
.
He was feeling cold all of a sudden, empty.
Alaz Soysalan was no stranger to waking up next to someone else inside his bed, yet, it was a strange feeling to wake up with someone who he still longed to touch after a night spent together.
He moved his hand a little, the other side of the bed was still warm but he was alone. His bare chest was feeling chilly because he had gone to sleep with an arm drapped over his chest, her curly hair shielding him away from the cold. With her absence, his left side ached with the loss of warmth.
Once he heard gentle foot steps on the wooden floor he opened his eyes, squinting at the brightness of the morning sun.
He watched as Asi moved in his room like a feather. She was tip-toeing around not to wake him up as she eyed his room. Alaz couldn't help but smile a little. Her feet were bare, she was only wearing an over sized white shirt of his that barely covered her tighs. She looked like an organic part of his room and his heart swelled with a strange feeling of possesiveness.
He moved a little to sit up, enjoying the quiet as Asi watched herself in the mirror, checking a spot right under her ear lobe where her neck met her shoulder. He had done that last night, even in the heat of the moment where all he could think was to devaour Asi, Alaz was aware that he was going to leave a bruise with his kiss.
Alaz was not a horny teenager anymore and he knew how to not leave a mark but he was not the most logical person when Asi was on his lap, half naked and out of breath. A part of him wanted to leave a mark to show himself that they were real, what ever they had was real and if he did not fuck it up like he usually does, he could have it for a while.
Asi did not look upset about it, she gently touched her finger tips against the mark, Alaz could swear he saw her lips curling upwards ever so slightly.
His chest ached again and this time the fire he was feeling was something less innocent and more primal.
All of a sudden Asi caught his gaze through the mirror, her eyes widened as she turned around to face him. She was leaning against the dresser, she was obviously blushing which made Alaz grin.
"Why are you watching me like a creep?"
"Good morning to you too, my love. You are full of romance and sweet-nothings as usual." Alaz sat up and his gold chain dangled on his bare chest.
A few months ago a sarcastic comment like this would've earned him a frown if he was lucky (it could even lead up to a fist fght under certain circumtances) now it made her chuckle and roll her eyes.
"Were you expecting breakfast in your bed?" She hummed. "Mr. Soysalan, thank you for gracing me with your presence" she held the end of the shirt as if it was a dress and bowed down a little. "You better get used to things the way they are now."
Alaz shook his head a little as he got up from the bed, grabbing some sweatpants that were thrown on to the floor. "Oh, I intend to get used to it." As he got dressed from the waist down, he could feel her gaze on his movements. She was still smiling but when he looked up he could see that she was staring at his chest. This woman was going to kill him with the way she was making him feel.
"I also think I want to get used to seeing you in my shirt, it is a great look."
Asi awarted her gaze and blushed. She crossed her legs a little to cover herself but the view was still breath taking and Alaz could feel a matching blush creeping down from his neck to chest. "Take my shirts, jewlry whatever you want. As long as people know you are mine." He said slowly as Asi raised a brow. He knew this would not sit well with her but he wanted to push just a little. She was looking so cozy, she was looking like she belomg to his room, his space. It was intoxicating feeling. "You even smell like me, you're driving me crazy Asi."
She didn't object when he crossed the distance between them and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. He moved her head to the side with a gentle hold on her chin, taking in her sent mixing with his cologne, his shampoo, and almost lost control as he gently kissed the hickey he gave a night ago. "Or I could give you more hickeys, since you were admiring it so much."
Asi finally snapped as he knew she would, pushing him away from herself, not so gently. "You are such an idiot," she muttered. She crossed her arms over her chest but Alaz could see she was red up to the tip of her ears and was breathing a little heavier for someone who was standing still. "Are you also going to pee on me to mark your territory? You are a barbarian, all that luxury and high end life and you're still an ape."
Alaz couldn't hold his giggle, he loved when Asi was mad, which only made her huff. She tried to move away from him but he gently caugh her by the wrist. "Calm down Asi Kız, its not an alpha male thing, I promise."
"What is it then, Alaz? Enlighten me," she challened him but did not pull away from his touch.
"I know you are mine just as I'm yours. I don't need to prove anything," he said honestly. Although he would've enjoyed annoying Cesur and Yaman with mischief, he was secure in his feelings perhaps the first time in his life. "That being said, you look hot as fuck in my shirt. Maybe its the ape in me but I blame you for the result. Its not my fault you look unresistable."
Asi tried not to smile but failed. He moved closer again, wrapping his arms around his waist. For a moment he taught Asi would stir up an argument again but she was looking pleased. "You are mine?"
"I am."
"You're not just saying it?"
She was actually looking bashful and Alaz's chest swelled with the intensity of his feelings. How could e be unsure after everything? "I'm yours until you'll have me, anything you want" he said truthfully. Asi had gone through a lot in her life, seen things that he did not want to imagine. He had been part of the things Alaz wished she had never experienced, it was too late to turn back time but he was determined to make it up to her as long as he lived.
She was looking so cute in his arms even her messy curls were perfect as she put her arms around his neck, now they were standing so close he could feel her breasts move with every breath. "To be honest, I would be yours even if you decide to hate me one day. You can even stab me again, you're not changing my mind. I'm still not enough of a good guy to let you go. I could never."
She kissed him with force. Alaz was feeling invincible as he picked her up from her waist and she did not hesitate to wrap her legs around him. It was a scary confession because he knew that this feeling was dangerous, this dependecy and devotion he was feeling was dangerous. That was a topic for another day though, he did not think about anything else but Asi in that moment. He doubted he would ever want to do otherwise ever again.
.
Hello anon, thank you for this it was so much fun.
you sweet summer child though, i think there is a possesive side to both of them that is a little toxic so i definietly acknowledge they have a dynamic that is not the healtiest but it works. i believe in a health and mature relationship you should know when to let someone go but alaz is not that guy tbfh
And yes i am turk writing in eng bc i see a lot of international fans!! feel free to send in eng or türkçe de yazmayı düşünüyorum hayatımda hiç Türkçe ff yazmadım ama denemek istiyorum skdkdldk belki aynı hikayeyi asinin bakış açısından Türkçe yazarım vs. Talep varsa bekliyorum

KURAK GÜNLER / BURNİNG DAYS
TD;lr: Turkish goverment is trying to mess up a movie with a queer storyline, its a great movie and you should watch it to support it.
Tumblr media
9/10
Besides the stunning cinematography and excellent acting by all of the leads (especially Selahattin Paşalı), this movie is a setting stone for Turkish cinema for a political reason, too.
TURKISH GOVERMENT AND QUEER SUBTEXT
Without giving the plot away, I want to note that while I would not consider this movie as 'queer cinema' it has a storyline revolving around its two male leads, their chemistry is undeniable and one of the main drivers of the story.
The spoiler free version is that, there is a queer relationship and even while it does not have explicit scenes, it has been getting a lot of attention from right wing media from the moment it aired in festivals. After negative press about "homosexual propoganda" the ministry of culture decised to "get their funding back, with interest."
This is the most pathatic thing I've ever heard tbh. The movie's first draft apparently did not include a queer aspect to the two leads' relationship and the ministery approved to support it. (Its an art house film that was suppose to attend many festivals world wide and it is currently doing so.) Then they revised the script and sent it to do the ministery as well, 20 months ago. And now they want their money back because homophobes are mad.
I believe anyone who lives in a country with corruption (I guess most of the world, sadly) will relate heavily to this story and share the frustration of living in an unjust world.
A QUICK SUMMARY WITHOUT SPOILERS
Hopefully you are as pissed as I'm and would like to watch this movie to say 'fuck you' to bigots, you should be able to find it many cities in Turkey and Europe.
The movie revolves around a young prosecutor named Emre and it starts with him moving to a small town. The elections are close and the town has a plotically divided atmosphere and Emre finds himself in the middle of an open case that revolves around the town's water source.
The movie highlights the injustices of a currupt town and a goverment and the helpless feeling of trying to fight this injustices but struggle at every turn. Along side a rape case of a young girl, the town's main focus shifts to a rumor of the nature of two men. This highlights the irony- nobody cares about a Romani girl getting raped, but everybody talks about these men. Its frustrating, the movie set in a setting without water, everybody is thirsty, its hot and its suffocating. The setting creates a helpless feeling in Emre and the viewer.
It is an absolute thriller that had me at the edge of my seat. At Emre's every moment where he stood his ground, I was holding my breath.
QUEER "SUBTEXT"
If you read this far and want to now more and do not care about SPOILERS, go ahead.
The queer relationship revolves around the prosecutor Emre and the town's journalist Murat. Their relationship was definietly beyond subtext, eventhough it was open to intrepretation to how far they have gone with each other, it was clear they were drawn to each other one way or another.
The relationship is beyond subtext because for starters, Murat is introduced as an outcast of the town, a journalist with a sharp tongue and from the start people tell Emre of his 'unorthodox ways'. Murat's sexual oriantation is a talk of the town and its clear that he had been bullied and harrased for a long time. As they get close, both the nature of their relationship is questioned as well as their their stand against town's traditions.
The lack of clear water in town was portrayed stunningly. Especially for Emre's and Murat's relationship. Everytime they were around each other, it was near a lake or a shower and even then they were not able to relax due to external pressure of the events around them.
All in all, Selahhatin Paşalı's portrayel was amazing, his feelings were more subtle and open to intrepretation yet much more powerful in my opinion. I liked that even in very intimiate moment they were calling each other Mr. And called each other with the formal 'you' until the very end.
The main focus of the movie is not their love story yet their dynamic elevates the rest of the story and brings attention to very important topics. I hope it will get the attention it deserves, from outside of Turkey, too.

On the one hand, Emin Alper’s Burning Days is a discreet but telling account of the resurgence of homophobia — a key plank of right-wing populism — in Turkey. On the other hand, it’s a half-and-half genre film: half crime thriller and half western.
