Hey, systems, if you feel like watching something about DID even if it's not supposed to be, but represents it very well – I suggest looking into Sanders Sides by Thomas Sanders on YouTube.

I fell in love with the series in summer of 2020, and they quite literally saved my life. It is a series that is supposed to show how emotions work, and it does give a perfect representation of that when you apply it to real life, however, it also shows perfectly well how DID works, along with inner worlds. While I do like to say that I started suspecting I have DID due to somebody else, those series were the reason I began communicating with alters for the first time, and even managed to get a lot of their names. Even if it was just a "play pretend" thing for me, it really helped establish communication even before I knew that DID existed as it is.

It is lighthearted but does bring up a lot of serious subjects/topics, absolutely amazing with the comedy, and has been helping all of us, and especially me, work through mental health issues. It's one of my comfort shows that I turn to every time I feel I have a crisis, and it's just. Amazing, in every single way.

it’s a little bit of a follow-up to my old post of “ three ways singlets can help systems” as some people did point out to me that it’s not very inclusive for all types of systems and I appreciate people pointing that out! So I’m making this post to point out that their are differences that may come with being a System! I can only talk from my experience and the people that I know, please keep in mind that bodily I am a minor, and that does affect how my system works a lot! I have a lot of memory issues which means a lot of my opinions can be based around memory, issues and identity, but that’s not entirely what a system is!

3 way you can support a system as a singlet

hello!! i as a systems have met many supportive singlets that just don’t fully understand how to help out systems! here is my personal experiences on what i appreciate in singlets.

imagine everyone alter as their own person walking in a room! this way of viewing switches could help you react and respond to the situation in a positive manner. when a system switches it could be foggy or even impossible to remember and understand what is going on. when a new alter takes front introduced yourself and guide them as whats going on and always allow them to ask questions.

2. the big five questions! these questions must be asked to insure you understand the system and understand the new fronter, without further ado…

-what is your name? this question allows you to potentially know who is fronting! it also gives us systems a feeling of safety and acceptance knowing you care for our names.

-how old are you? a very important question to insure all conversations are safe for the alter! if the alter is too young tofront in the current environment be sure to respectful ask if their is an older alter available.

-what are your pronouns? many alters have differing genders and identities! by asking you can insure you are respectful to the alters-needs

-what do you understand? there are many ways to interpret and ask this question. But it is by far the most important question to ask. Even when I system switches, they may understand some of what is going on. By asking them you can ensure you only explain the parts they needed. You never wanna talk down to an alter, so, by asking this, you can ensure the alter does, or doesn’t understand. Some of the best ways to ask are like “ do you know what we’re doing? Would you like me to explain?” is an attempt to have them explain to you what’s going on to ensure their correct!

-ask about boundaries! The best example is ask them if they’re comfortable with being touched! Every person every system will have different boundaries and different things that may be happening around them. by asking an alter you can ensure their needs and boundaries are the same as the altar you may have been talking to you before!

3. please be patient, when a new alter enters the front It can be a very slow process. They may not know who they are and they may not know who what’s going on. By being quiet and patient your heavily helping us!

Being a system is hard, the identity issues foggy memory and lack of awareness can heavily infect someone! by by allowing the system to switch and feel comfortable around you you’re helping them leave their mask behind! tips for supporting a transgender little!!

there are many different littles in this world, many of which are trans! What day are trans FTM or MTF or or even somewhere under the nonbinary or gender fluid umbrella, I have some tips on how you can make their experience more comfortable and respect their identity!!

Complements! Who doesn’t love a compliment? Of course you want to complement your little, so I thought I’d give you some suggestions on things to say that can help them out! If you’re a little is an FTM, you would always love to give them compliment, such as handsome, baby boy, adorable boy, things like! Including masculinity in their compliment, whether or not they present masculine, can give them a feel of gender euphoria! In a similar sense transgender’s MTF will often do you have any comforted by feminine compliments! Some examples would be pretty, princess, sweetie or mentioning female in a compliment, so just pretty girl, or good girl! A little may also enjoy animal related nicknames (always ask their boundaries before using any petnames) some animals can give gender euphoria, even without directly mentioning a gender! Kitty or kitten as a nickname commonly is seen as more feminine! It is not required to be in. There will be kitty boys and kitten girls in their own time. However, if you’re coming up with one on your own, you may find it good to try using kitten for trans MTFs! On the opposing side puppies can bring comfort to FTMs! for anyone who is outside of female and male, agendas, or under the nonbinary spectrum it’ll often help to avoid these exact compliments and come up with something else such as creativity, or something of that sort that does not route in some form of gender identity!

Bath time is very complicated for all Littles, but especially littles with gender identity issues!!! it is extremely important to ask your little what they are comfortable with at bathtime for Littles with gender identity issues, especially will struggle with allowing you to see them in any way that they might see as not the identity they prefer! Some lovely ways you can help comfort them with that is continuing to refer to them as their preferred gender while they’re starting to shower or bath. Don’t mention anything to do with those areas and most definitely do not use the terms “boy” or “girl” when talking about bodies!

TV shows! never refer to a TV show as a boy or a girl show! There is no such thing as a show, made for certain gender and buy influencing that you can upset your little!!

clothes!! support your little dress however, they are comfortable!! make sure to let them know just how adorable they are!! your clothes are not their gender, and do not in anyway intend that!! never ask them to wear any form of clothes they’re uncomfortable with, and always try to buy clothes that can match their style and identity!

did someone miss gender your little? Don’t ignore it and make sure to tell a little how much that person was wrong. Tell them they’re silly for not realizing how much of a pretty boy they are or pretty girl. Make sure to correct any of your friends! Even if you’re a little says that they’re comfortable, they most likely or not comfortable with her gender not being respected!! telling them that you recognize that someone upset them, and that you do not agree with that view, can bring so much comfort into their!

Public Little Space Survival Guide ~

Hello babies of the world! Public little space is super fun activities for many littles and caregivers! It helps you have fun in a new place. However public little space can be spooky. It’s a big world full of people. Here are the tips I have to help you avoid anyone or anything that will stress you out or put you in danger.

Choosing a location

finding a location is difficult so here are my tips! My first tip will be to attempt to find an area that will have either a lot of people or no people because when it’s just a 2-10 people, there’s a higher chance that people will talk to you or try and say things about your regression that they have no right saying. If you go somewhere like a carnival, then you will not have to deal with anyone say anything to you because everyone’s minding their own I just watching for location can be very important and very difficult. Wish you luck little one! if you were going somewhere such as an indoor playground or a store, try to find the rules on size of guests, and anything that may affect your visit! (Also, if you have some form of disorder where you will get stressed out in large areas then like I said before try to stick some more small.)

Gear!

here is extremely important for when you are going out as a little because it helps you feel really small and it just overall can enhance your experience. Make sure to consider what you are going to go do with what you choose to bring. I recommend bringing a little space bag, full of things that you may want!

Pacifiers are always extremely useful and really fun to use. If your smaller age.

You can also bring your bottle or sippy depending on age,

toys or stuffies are always fun. If you were going somewhere where you might lose them then you might want to not bring one of those instead exchange it for some sort of small thing that can attach to your belts or your clothes attempt to wear clothes that feel nice and comfy and small

just overall try to find things that will enhance your experience without drawing too much attention to yourself!

Tips for CGs!

-it helps Littles feel small to do things like holding their hands and speaking for them in a way such as if you’re going up somewhere to order food you can order for them and then give it to them things like that. Also, you can always ask for a children’s menu and stuff. I’ll never get mad at you!

-always try and do things like buy stuff for the little because they will feel more like a kid as if they’re having their daddy or mommy buy things for them!

-try to go on more smaller rides if you were in something like a carnival

-always be the one to make plans and choices, but do always try and ensure that your little has say on what they’re doing. For example, you can choose to go to the mall and then let those little choose where to go in the mall!

tips for littles:

-When you start to get scared, you can look at your caregiver. In their eyes are some things you convert your attention and gaze from anyone who may make you uncomfortable

- don’t be scared to do anything that you find fun just because other people may look at you where does not mean that you cannot have fun as yourself that is harder to remember that it is to say but I just want to remind you that nothing they can take away the validity of your little space

- where are some comfy clothes you don’t need to look fancy just have some fun and nice and comfy, even if that means wearing a onesie

-try to bring a plushy, because when people are being weird, or when your anxiety is messing up, you can squeeze him/her nice and hard, and she/he’ll always be there for you

-if you begin to get to stress, tell your caregiver cause they’re there for you no matter what and if you need to leave then that is you’re right you got this!
