the tragedy of vriska’s character is that deep down she KNOWS it’s fucked up everything that she did leading up to sburb but she just couldn’t help herself wanting to survive & she did what she had to do. and as much as she tries to mask it with bravado she feels immensely guilty and every action she takes after the death of her lusus is this fucked up chase for absolution but it’s only digging the hole deeper. every risky move she makes is a gamble and as she continuously fails the stakes get higher and higher because every failure is a sin until what she’s bargaining is the life of entire universes and as soon as someone else (terezi) realizes what’s going on vriska gets put down like a sick dog. it’s horrific. it’s immeasurably sad.
