Headcanon that Sari had a Feeling she was Different From Other People and asked her dad about it but the conversation was like
Sari: "Dad, do you ever feel like you're...different from other people? Like an alien living in the middle of normal people?
Isaac: "I do, my daughter! For you see, as someone with autism-"
And Sari just assumed she was only autistic until some rocks scraped her arm

Please help me. i found out my brother (who lives in the same house has me) Has been accessing my private information, including my bank account and my google photos, which contain several compromising photos of me. He has also created a secret folder in my accoubt which Cannot be accessed through any devices owned by me. My Own Shit. And I have proof of him accessing, altering, deleting, and obfuscating information and data. The internet connection here is not reliable for me. I CANNOT LIVE HERE. I AM AFRAID. And i am keeping quiet in order to avoid a major blowout in this house but I have been on the brink of suicide and he is aware of the effects these actions have on me. I am desperate to get far, far, far away from here. I am so tired of feeling unsafe.

help me out!
hate to be making this kind of post but last night my mother was admitted to the hospital for severe respiratory distress and presenting signs of diabetic ketoacidosis, and overnight quickly deteriorated. right now she's been diagnosed with several issues including DKA, pneumonia, sepsis from the pneumonia and as a result was put into a medically induced coma and intubated to try and slow the damage all of this is causing to her body.
with her down and out for the count, we still need to pay several bills including our rent, car payment, and pet food. i'm prioritizing our rent right now, to which we owe $765.03, after that is paid, anything else will be going towards the car and pet food, and any other additional bills that decide to rear their ugly heads during my mother's hospitalization. if it gets serious enough i will open commissions, but right now i already have a backlog i'm slowly working through.
0/765.03
the money will be going through my sibling's accounts as they're the only ones with cards attached to them that we can use.
V*nmo: @twimbslers
C*shapp: $twimbslers
(if there's anything wrong with the @'s let me know, i don't normally use those two payment services)
if you can't donate please share this around!!

Concept: a D&D adventure where the party stops to rest at a village inn where they seem to be the only guests. The village appears prosperous and well taken care of, but its inhabitants are strangely morose and blunt-spoken. Whether the party decides to investigate or attempts to move on, it quickly becomes apparent that something is terribly wrong: any effort to initiate violence or utter untruth fails as the offender is wracked with terrible pain, unkind words stick in the throat unspoken – and worst of all, anyone who attempts to leave the village becomes confused and finds themselves coming back the way they came. When (politely) questioned, the villagers will say only that the party must speak to the wizard whose tower lies to the east.
Upon reaching the wizard’s tower, the party is met by a slender, youthful-looking man with an unnaturally deep voice, who greets them with distracted courtesy, and – after making brief introductions – reveals that he knows why the party is there, and that it’s indeed all his fault. Thirty years ago, the wizard attempted to cast a blessing of peace and prosperity over the village, but the spell went awry: the enchantment proved to be much more powerful and long-lasting than intended, and its notion of what constitutes a breach of the peace far more expansive. Not only does it prohibit physical violence, but also insults, lies both overt and of omission, and simple failures of courtesy. Even leaving the village seems to be construed as an act of abandonment, and therefore of emotional violence.
Luckily, the wizard believes he’s discovered why the enchantment has become a curse. Though it was intended to ensure that people would be kind to one another, it ironically rendered its own fulfillment impossible, as the villagers began to treat each other well out of fear of reprisal rather than true good will. A sufficiently great act of genuine kindness, unalloyed by self-interest, would shatter the enchantment in an instant – but how can such a thing be brought about, in a place where all have been made strangers to love?

One of the first character interactions we see in Undertale is Toriel unknowingly attacking her son to save a human child she does not know. She leads the human through the Ruins by their hand to keep them safe (from dangerous monsters like her son) and prepares a room in her house for them to stay in (like the one her son lived in). We can call her “Mom” and she will let us (Flowey watches us the entire time.) She attacks us so we don’t leave (the Underground is full of dangerous monsters (like her son)), but when we make it out, Flowey is there to criticize what we’ve done (we’ve taken his mom) (we’ve killed his mom) (we RESET to save his mom) (our mom). She doesn’t know who he is. He put her to bed when she’d passed out on the floor and left a glass of water on her table (someone has to take care of these flowers).

I had a very interesting discussion about theater and film the other day. My parents and I were talking about Little Shop of Horrors and, specifically, about the ending of the musical versus the ending of the (1986) movie. In the musical, the story ends with the main characters getting eaten by the plant and everybody dying. The movie was originally going to end the same way, but audience reactions were so negative that they were forced to shoot a happy ending where the plant is destroyed and the main characters survive. Frank Oz, who directed the movie, later said something I think is very interesting:
I learned a lesson: in a stage play, you kill the leads and they come out for a bow — in a movie, they don’t come out for a bow, they’re dead. They’re gone and so the audience lost the people they loved, as opposed to the theater audience where they knew the two people who played Audrey and Seymour were still alive. They loved those people, and they hated us for it.
That’s a real gem of a thought in and of itself, a really interesting consequence of the fact that theater is alive in a way that film isn’t. A stage play always ends with a tangible reminder that it’s all just fiction, just a performance, and this serves to gently return the audience to the real world. Movies don’t have that, which really changes the way you’re affected by the story’s conclusion. Neat!
But here’s what’s really cool: I asked my dad (who is a dramaturge) what he had to say about it, and he pointed out that there is actually an equivalent technique in film: the blooper reel. When a movie plays bloopers while the credits are rolling, it’s accomplishing the exact same thing: it reminds you that the characters are actually just played by actors, who are alive and well and probably having a lot of fun, even if the fictional characters suffered. How cool is that!?
Now I’m really fascinated by the possibility of using bloopers to lessen the impact of a tragic ending in a tragicomedy…
