He did just that, taking the chair in hand by the back and moving it in one fluid motion across the room to sit by Rufus. Close enough to be comfortable, far enough to not be directly snooping. He's got the reflection on the panorama windows for that. He takes a care not to rattle and ding the chair before setting it down and leaning back with a sigh, hot cup in hand. The heat seeping into his fingers feels nice, especially all the way up here in Rufus' office where the windows get cold to the touch and fog up if you stand too close to the glass. He half slouches in the chair, more languid than sloppy and takes a long drink. "Or company. ....Dark Nation sleeping under the desk?" Reno half heartedly leans over to peek for stray monster feet peeking out from under the desk.

"Hey, Rufus. You working on something you can heartlessly abandon for five minutes?"

Mouth already concealed behind his hand while he concentrated, Rufus allowed himself a small smile while he finished reading before sitting back and giving Reno his attention, neutral mask in place once more.

"Yes, Reno?"

Retainer Shinannigans

I'm convinced my retainer is a salty Elezen from the Brume at this point as he's been robbing Ishgard nobility for months with the impunity level of Batman when he’s being told to 'pull over.'

He's brought me knights sabatons (so some poor bastard was just left in the fucking dead of winter with no pants), war tables, war table pieces, he's pried the WINDOWS off of houses, and one time went back for the ROOF after i joked out loud "Just the window? where's the rest of the house?" (then just to spite me i shit you not he came back with the tub the very next trip. probably the same house.

“Sir, you’ve been held up with all that paperwork and haven’t had a chance to have a coffee break yet, I brought you a coffee.” Just how he likes it. of course it isn’t her job description to get her superior Turk Agent coffee, but she’s free right now, so she doesn’t see the harm in it.

She’s not trying to score points with him or anything, it just seemed like a natural thing to do , considering he’d been at this awhile and hasn’t had a break yet.

She sets down the paper cup on the desk , out of the way so it wouldn’t spill over.
