 This book would not exist had it not been for the true reality of homophobia. But because it exists and because queer people have lived this tortured existence, it makes it THAT much more heartbreaking to read. I could not stop thinking, “someone somewhere went through this much pain just because they loved.” Evelyn Hugo is not a fictional character (I mean she is)… but someone has lived and died as her, we just don’t know it… or maybe you do. Someone you love is scared. Someone you love is lgbt+. 🥺 @tjenkinsreid, who hurt you? The fact that Evelyn used her body to get what she wanted and people constantly made comments about her breasts, in which you then have her dying of BREAST CANCER? Are you kidding me? What she felt saved her ultimately is what is killing her? You’re cruel ma’am. This book hits the shelves May 17th, 2022! _______________________ Chuck LOVES scary movies. I on the other hand, do NOT. They petrify me to the point where I can’t stop having intrusive visual thoughts. Chuck also won’t watch movies without me, so this means I’ve picked every single movie over the last 6 years 🤣 I struggle with reading when he’s around because I just want to hang out so then I never get my reading done. I’ve always loved scary audiobooks and podcasts though so we came up with an idea! Chuck watches scary movies and I take my glasses off and read while listening! That way we can enjoy solo activities, but together! 
Last night Chuck watched The Girl on the Third Floor (and started a series but I forgot the name) and I read Melt with You! The ENTIRE BOOK. I haven’t done that in forever. It felt so good to sit and go cover to cover! This cute sapphic YA romcom is ADORABLE.
