Howie With An MC Who’s Not Used To Being Touched

Sometimes referred to as “touch starved”

The first time he hugged you, you froze up, and he thought he broke you. 

He pulled back “Did I hug you too tight?”

“Uhh …” You felt your cheeks go hot. Even worse, you were a deer in headlights.

“(y/n)?” He waved a hand in front of your face.

After that he held back on the hugs and downgraded to little stuff like touching your shoulder or holding your hand. He wants to give you a bear hug so bad but he doesn’t want to rush you into anything. 

Whenever he touches, no matter how big or small, he gauges your reaction to see if it’s too much. If he thinks he went overboard he will apologize like crazy! I feel like while he’s apologizing he’d hold your hand to comfort you but then remember that you’re not used to that and apologize even more. 

If level 2 was too much he’d probably downgrade to level 1 of touching which is like brushing against each other. Believe me, he’s dying on the inside but he knows he’s respecting your boundaries and that’s what matters most is that you’re comfortable.

If you made the first move though he would melt on the spot. Imagine you’re out for a walk together and he keeps brushing his hand against yours. 

You take a hold of his hand and interlace your fingers with his.

For a second his fingers twitch before intertwining with yours. 

You glance at him and smile because he has the biggest grin on his face. 

~~~ A/N: Do ppl normally put a/n on headcanons? Prob not. Anyway, I had to write this bc I could’ve used a hug or smthn earlier {even though i’m normally not a hugger} and I figured someone else could use this rn so here’s a virtual hug 😌💕
