Was kinda putting this oc off on posting, but seeing some other sandman related ocs on my bash made me more secure in this one.

So meet Life of the Endless! The older twin of Death of the Endless! Making them the second oldest of the Endless siblings!

I went with the concept of Life because Life and Death are often concepts portrayed to go hand in hand, especially in the modern media. So I wanted to give it a twist, that instead of being lovers, I made them twins.

BACKSTORY

From birth on, Robyn was known to be the Brimwoods least favorite child. He was always treated with disdain in opposition to his sisters and it definitely took over into his later life. Because his interests often were ignored by his parents or other supervisors, Robyn began to explore and investigate. Learning how the world works and how you can perceive things that others may not. 

As the young Ravenclaw began to attend Hogwarts, he hoped that the approach of bystanders towards him would change, that they would respect him and treat him like one of their own. Yet, that hoping was to no avail. The other students avoided Robyn, shut him out and turned him into an outcast. He didn’t have many friends and the ones he had were not quite genuine. Because of this Robyn quickly learnt to recognize dishonesty and deception in someone’s behavior. Friends or not, he excelled at exams in school - which led to him qualifying for the Auror Recruitment Programme.

Three years after completing his training, Robyn was discharged from his Auror position, due to an Incident that occurred during one of his missions.To this day, the investigator avoids talking about what happened or why they held him responsible for what happened. 

Nonetheless, this drawback did not stop Robyn from wanting to bring justice to the Wizarding World, therefore he started to become a freelancing Private Investigator, taking on magical cases that all sorts of Magical Ministries are either too arrogant or incompetent for. 

TRIVIA

~ What brought Robyn to the conclusion of conducting a freelancing investigator business are the stories of Sherlock Holmes written by Arthur Conan Doyle which the detective read during his childhood. He loved the idea of solving mysteries and arresting criminals only with the power of his wit and without some menacing force policing their way through society so he decided to make it his job. While the Ministry of Magic does not approve of his business there is little they can do to stop him. After all, he isn’t a threat or a criminal - just a man doing his job. 

~ While he doesn’t show them off, Robyn has gathered a small collection of scars and cuts on his entire skin from his school bullies. Strewn across his body, he uses these wounds of his past as a reminder that he fights for the right thing, that he tries to better the world and rid it of evil creatures like those who hurt others for fun. Therefore Robyn also has a 0% tolerance policy towards huminilation or discrimination.

~ Due to having been neglected as a child and teenager, Robyn has a hard time getting ignored by others or purposely shut out. He will do whatever is in his power to drive views towards him and to keep peoples attention, due to a lack thereof during puberty.

~ Because being a private Investigator is no nine to five job, Robyn began to write and publish stories about cases he would like to pursue, mysteries he would love to solve and puzzles he aches to uncover. Sooner or later muggles got their hands on his books, while some were skeptical, the majority considered them masterpieces of fiction and sent letters to the publishers' post office boxes demanding for more. These publishers then offered Robyn a lucrative job as an author. Due to this offer, Robyn nowadays gets to turn the cases he has solved into fictional novels for the muggles to consume. Quite a fulfilling life in both societies for the Investigator.

Containing many songs with that thematic, the Ceccere playlist is meant to put emphasis on the familys longevity and near immortality, as well as their long-winded history and lineage. It additionally underlines their values of wealth and intellect through songs as "Glitter and Gold" or "Crazy = Genius" (which is a song specifically chosen for Nero in that case).

Some songs stand in direct connection to members of the Ceccere Family. "Larger than life" for example, is meant to represent the influence Eridon Ceccere had on the familys lineage during the 1890's

The Ceccere Family is known for its generally growth during the rise of the British Empire, due to the nature of the high ranking political and cultural positions they gained - which attracted quite a lot of admirers and love interests. Even after the British Empire's power began to decrease - the Cecceres were able to keep up a long and quite healthy bloodline with only a few so called "traitors" to their name.

The alliance with the Vaughan Family in the early 19th century is what brought together the branch of Cecceres that Flavio and his family originate from which later splits off into the Cecceres and a different wizarding family. Yet there are many more branches spread across the country, profiting from their former alliances during the time of the Empire!

Even nowadays it is quite common to see Cecceres in Positions of high power such as Sylas Ceccere - Correspondent for International Magic Legislature, Leona Ceccere - Captain of Aurors or Flavio Ceccere - Head of the Ministrys Department for Accidents and Catastrophes

The Ceccere Family Crest

~ THE LINEAGE CHALLENGE - Day one @kathrynalicemc ~

"Sow Knowledge, reap wisdom"

Representing power, beauty, immortality, knowledge and omniscience, the peacock serves as the symbol of the Ceccere family. It was first used in the family crest during the prime of the British Empire in the 17th century before it became associated with Eridon Cecere - a famous wizard and alchemist during the 19th century. As of the end of the 20th century, the peacock still acts as a portrayal of the family's accumulated knowledge and love for the beauty of art. 

Two peacock statues can be found adjoining the gate of the Ceccere family estate in Ayr, Scotland. 

The golden castles cornering the bird symbolize the family's fortitude and royalty . They were chosen to depict that the Ceccere lineage was not easily defeated and almost nothing could shock or  shatter them. It furthermore was meant to show that no attack or betrayal could stop a Ceccere from their pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. In addition, the color purple was chosen by Eridon to represent nobility , luxury, wealth, power and ambition - things the Ceccere’s prove to have plenty of. 

Their motto “Sow knowledge, reap wisdom” is meant to underline the process of learning that every Ceccere undergoes, knowingly or not. Every Ceccere is bound to face their fears, learn from it and come out on top eventually. It is in their blood. And this gained wisdom is the knowledge that is going to be sown in the next generation.
