On July 11th, my little sister (13, turning 14 in August) and stepdad came home from the store and found my mom’s dead body in the kitchen. Lisa passed away at 41 on 07/11/20. Her cause of death was not natural, and we are still waiting on a coroner’s report (4-8 weeks for the second test results to come back).

My family is very small back in Pennsylvania. It consists of my stepdad (Jeff), little sister (Hannah), grandmother, aunt, uncle, little cousin, and me. I am the only one who lives far away. I moved to Illinois, cared for by my boyfriend’s parents when I was 17. I’m currently 19.

Our home life was never perfect. Perfect doesn’t exist. But, like everyone, we struggled. Low class, homeless at times, unable to access clean water/food/medical care as a result of being low income, and inability to find reliable transportation (the money for bus fare can go a long way. $1 has a different meaning) besides walking.

I am not in that situation anymore.

However, my family is.

My stepdad used the $500 for rent to pay off various expenses related to my mother’s passing. I am giving $500. My mother wanted to be buried, but we have to cremate her. The removal from the house was $800. (To see mom’s dead body for the last time, they have to pay money. That’s covered(?) fortunately, because the man is letting them see her for 5 minutes.) And my family would like to have her sealed in an (affordable) urn.

My mother made me promise to take care of my little sister when she passes. I can’t do that, but Jeff will. I am thankful. My stepdad is a great man and loves my little sister. She loves him too. He’s the best dad we’ve ever had. He’d die for us.

By supporting them financially, it will bring a lot of peace. The death of your mother should not leave you broke, without a home or a bed to sleep in.

I love you, Mom. I’ll make you proud. I’ll keep Hannah the safest I can from far away.

let's just say for the sake of this hc, a whole stash of pencils and canvases and papers came with you into the fog from your past habitat. i would say having this source of getaway from the hardships would be a great help to relieve stress.

danny knew this the moment he met you. i mean, it wasn't that hard anyway; he a stalky boi. you tend to either sit by the campfire with the peace of your peers making small conversation ( they're good to not disturb you as you draw ) or you have some time alone in the forest.

he finds it...strange. he wonders, honestly, how is that fun for you? he's so used to earning attention from other people like the spoilt rAT that he is and killing people for the sake of enjoyment and pride that drawing seems so bland for him.

wouldn't dare to pick up one of your pencils even if you assure him that he can draw. he won't, he knows he won't like it. he's gonna find it boring and unpleasant.

but that's for hIMSELF. you see, despite the fact that danny wouldn't like to draw, watching you as you draw is one of the most calming and satisfying things ever. you're so concentrated, so vulnerable, so in depth of the streaks that you create and danny finds that so incredibly fascinating. he may not stay for long because his attention span is smaller than my one braincell but he finds it nice in between trials to...sit and relax.

he kinda just sits next to you and snuggles beside your warm embrace, his head falling onto your shoulder with his mask off.

danny watches for longer if he's tired, hell, he might even fall asleep because it's so calming. but if danny is wide awake, he'll quietly beg you to pay attention to him because he's a bastard like that.

he doesn't want something else to hold your attention if it isn't him!

though he doesn't mind one single bit, danny catches onto it quickly that when you do put down the pencils to take a small break and finally give him the attention that he doesn't need, you tend to replace the paper that was on your lap with his head and you just...you draw on him. liKE NOT LITERALLY but you trace your fingers on him, mostly either his face or arms.

sometimes you make him guess what you drew ( usually it's just shapes and hearts ) but then again, you just doodle on him with your fingers. it's as if he's your own canvas and danny do be finding that adorable.

he knows it's annoying, that's why he's always asking you to draw him. but danny does it because if the stupid paper is giving you more interest than himself, at least be drawing him.

what a fucking brat, i love him.

if you do decide to draw him, he'll stay there for the whole duration of the drawing. just admiring the sounds of pencils dancing within your fingertips and the way your eyebrows furrow when you focus, sometimes you talk to yourself but danny doesn't mind. you're drawing him, that's what matters.

also you best believe that once you finish the drawing, danny will be taking it and he will hold onto it for the rest of his life. he'll even show it to the other killers with the cockiest and proudest smile on his face. he's got the whole 'take that guys! i have a girlfriend/boyfriend who can draw me unlike you losers!' type of vibe to him; he definitely finds your drawing of him empowering and helps boosts his ego.

sometimes if he's frustrated and got his head in space, he walks into the forest to see if you're there doing what you love to do best. from then on he'll just sit next to you quietly and watch, don't ask any questions, danny's here for the peace. if you're not in the forest, whatever then, he just takes your drawing out of his pocket where it lives and looks at it.

it's soothing, honestly, how aesthetically pleasing he finds it when he just sits by the campfire and focuses on the small details you've put into it: the glare of the fire, the shine that reflects onto the mask. he loves it.

there's a hint of adoration and amazement when he flicks through the many pages of creations you've expressed onto the papers, you're so so talented. danny thinks it's incredible how skilful you are and always reminds you that if the entity ever dies and you all are brought back into the real world, he wants you to pursue a career into it. open a museum with just your art. danny would definitely go, just for you.

he may not have intentions to do anything with art because ew but you're perfectly fit for it! honestly if the ghosti boi do have cash he may even buy some off of you. and also put your artworks into the newspaper because he knows you deserve all the recognition.

but, then again, don't get too popular, you're still danny's.

He’ll fucking carry you everywhere because you are of literally no hindrance to him. 

Just cling to him and let him walk.

As long as you’re not attached to his legs, whatever.

But if you sit on his shoulders then he will hold onto your thighs with an iron grip because he knows he’s tall as fuck and does not want you to fall face first from that distance.

Let him hold you against his hip as if he’s holding a fucking toddler. Just let him carry you around like that. “don’t talk to me or my child ever again”

Honestly he starts getting used to carrying you. Like you’re both vibing and he gets up and holds out his hands as if to say aight come on. It’s almost as if he doesn’t want you touching the floor.
