the Columbia University arrests are worse than they seem. They're arresting protesting students for trespassing. It goes without saying students cannot meaningfully "trespass" in the common areas of a university they attend. So Columbia University has suspended all student protestors from their institution, in the process revoking their access to housing, their belongings, and most crucially damaging their academic futures. We are witnessing full scale silencing and removal of anyone of conscience from the next generation of academia.

A point to remember about Israel is that it forms a central point within a wider network of imperial control and exploitation across the Middle East. This includes the British-constructed Hashemite regime in Jordan, the military dictatorship of al-Sisi in Egypt, and the Western-armed petro-tyrannies of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. The Palestinian cause is stigmatised because it represents a real threat to this network of brutal wealth extraction and militarised oppression. Should it succeed in dismantling the Israeli apartheid regime, breaking the colonial system that crushes them, and proving that radical democracy can exist, the rest of these tyrannies will begin to crumble in their wake.

Beware of Democrats like AOC trying to co-opt the movement. First she refused to call what Isr*el is doing to Palestinians a gen*cide, now she decided to be seen with Pro-Palestine student protesters. She is a grifter and shills for Biden despite him literally calling himself a zionist and saying "he'll never abandon Isr*el". He's also allowing for police crackdowns on protests. These people do not actually care about democracy. All of these things: gen*cide, police brutality, crackdowns on protests, and taking third parties off ballots are ANTI-DEMOCRATIC by default. And it's all happening under Biden's presidency.
