it never ceases to surprise him      just how little of history that appears to have been passed down throughout the ages. not only had there been more seers and seeresses, there had been multiple kinds. though based on the surprise on her face and in her voice, it seems NONE of that knowledge has survived to this day and age.

nodding in response to her first question, two more questions are quick to follow pursuit. it seems the prospect of more seers has caught her interest. and while ardyn hadn’t come here to hold a history lesson, he’ll admit, he’s curious to see how she’ll react if he gives her just a tidbit of information.      ❛❛   i take it you haven’t heard the stories, then. of the nornir and the völva?   ❜❜      he asks back, presenting the question as if it is simple stories to him as well, and not of his own memories.

                     ❛ well... it sounds familiar. ❜ during her travels she’s heard glimpses of others discussing such seers, but serah never put much thought into it. in all honesty, she was skeptical of them. && it’s not just the nornir or völva that she means --- there’s other oracles as well, such as the one from delphi ( she tried to asked her, but was shooed away without an answer ). it appears that many cultures share their own variations of seers.

                  although many others may gain their foresight from others, serah’s came from etro alone & thus assumed only she could grant such power. clearly she was too ignorant. ❛ oh! those are the viking ones, right? to be honest, i thought those were frauds... or stories. ❜ but then again, to others etro may be considered such as well. it may simply be that there are other ways to get the same result.

Prompto was coming back to Lestallum for the first time in months. He usually slayed daemons around Hammerhead, but he had been requested around to investigate a particular kind of daemon, a really DANGEROUS one, with Ignis and Gladio. He was on his way to meet them when he noticed this girl, who was waving in someone’s direction. The girl seemed a bit weird; she was really pale, almost as she was a spirit. It seemed like the other man couldn’t see her, but Prompto could, which scared him a bit. “I-I’m sorry… Maybe I can try to help you ?” He offered, letting a kind smile cross his features. 

                   ❛ you can see me!? FINALLY! ❜ after spending some time trying to get the attention of anyone, she’s glad that someone finally is able to interact with her. at first she thought this was a repeat of augusta tower, with everyone simply being lifeless clones but after finally being noticed it might not be the case. there’s definitely a paradox situation occurring here, that’s for certain. feeling a little embarrassed, the time traveller tucks a small strand of hair behind her ear. ❛ sorry about that, i’m serah. you don’t by any chance know why people are ignoring me, right? ❜ she gives an outstretched hand for a shake.

The movement of the earth beneath her feet did not appear to startle the huntress. The land around her was her homeland despite time often shifting. She had accompanied Serah on the trip after all and found herself a bit amused at the question the younger Farron aimed to her.

“I can feel it, and if it grows closer I’ll take care of whatever is making it. Almost makes me wonder if Titan is up and about for some reason.”

             she’s already struggling to keep herself balanced with the ground below her shifting of its own volition. throughout everything she’s seen so far, serah still feels a little uneasy knowing just how dangerous that pulse can be. there’s so many more monsters around here compared to on cocoon ---- BIGGER ones too. it’s hard to keep up on the names of all of them sometimes.  ❛  but, uh, i don’t want you to fight on your own. i can fight too! ❜

         ❛ well, maybe i was wrong. ❜  gentle fingers graze against her chin as the time-traveller thinks deeply. in an attempt to reach beyond a locked door, she tried to complete a pressure plate puzzle only to have been incorrect in her findings regarding the answer. oh well! there’s always trying again. unless there’s some sort of mechanism that causes harm after three tries... perhaps it may be best to seek help on the matter on hand. ❛ do you think you know the answer? ❜

                 ❛ i want to change the FUTURE. ❜ the man beside her probably thinks she’s a little bit insane. if it weren’t for the strange situations serah has already gotten herself into she wouldn’t believe it either. from travelling through the timelines & controlling monsters through the power of etro --- it gives her hope that she may be able to do anything she sets her mind towards. ❛ i also want to see my sister again. everyone around me says she’s DEAD, but i know she’s not. i’ll find her. ❜
