“The person who gave me the love I always wanted is you. The person I think everyday is you. It’s not because you need me but because I need you really badly. Because you’re the one person who I’ve been looking for and waiting for. You don’t know, do you? I wanted to say this really badly the day you reset me.
I love you.”

which do you like more? dramafever or viki?
Tumblr media
I get asked this question a lot... >.> And to be very honest... I don’t really have a “one-way” or “best” answer for it. It really depends on what you’re looking for.
Viki, in a nutshell, is a lot more “diverse” with the subs, comments section, and the selection of dramas. Honestly, some people prefer Viki over Dramafever because it’s more interactive and the subs are great for understanding cultural context that gets lost in translating.
Dramafever is more “exclusive” to certain genres/types of dramas and the subs are much more simpler compared to Viki. Personally, Dramafever just seems to have most of the dramas that I want to watch so I only have a subscription for DF. If there is a drama I want to watch on Viki, I just either pay the short term subscription or mooch off from a friend ;D
And lastly, the prices might be a decision maker for you... but the prices seem to be pretty much the same between the two since they’re competitors. The biggest savings comes in the annual subscriptions if you plan to watch kdramas all year long... it’s actually a better deal in the long run than the monthly subscriptions even though the “smaller” dollar amount is better to look at in your bank account.
I hope that kinda helps, lol...

I know that I'm a year late but I've just finished Goblin... OMG this show was definitely masterpiece.I watch the last episode just 2 days ago and till now, I don't know how I feel toward the end. I have this weird bittersweet vibe (well, more bitter than sweet) I love all of you review and it make me understand the plot better (I love all the symbols you put in these analyses). Can you calculate exactly how much time ShinTak was spending together at her 1st life!?
Tumblr media
OMG IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO WATCH GOBLIN! I’m so glad you did, lol, and thank you for sharing with me. I’m sorry for the late reply, but I’m always happy to talk about Goblin anytime! And yes… your feelings are on point with mine as well on the ending. Honestly, we just need more of Goblin haha.
I’m glad my reviews were helpful to you! It makes me happy that my reviews are still helpful even to this day >///
And to answer your question, Eun-tak died at the age of 29 in her first life. So she lived a short life T___T But our girl was a kind soul, so we only hope that she’ll definitely be blessed with a longer life in the next.

Hello, so I recently started watching kdramas. I’ve only seen descendants of the sun and strong woman do bong soon. You’ve got me interested in watching goblin and I saw your recommendation list. Where can I watch these?
OMG I’M SO SORRY FOR NOT REPLYING UNTIL NOW! I’ve been on hiatus from social media due to this girl gotta graduate from college this year T___T I hope you can forgive me for replying so late and I never meant to ignore your question.
Though I may be late and my advice may not be applicable anymore, my biggest piece of advice for being new to kdramas is highly dependent on the quality. If you want nice HD quality and great subs, then try Viki or Dramafever. If you don’t care about the quality, then stream it on a site. Personally, I’ve used both Viki and Dramafever… but I honestly don’t have a preference. For me, it just really depends on where the dramas I want to watch are provided and most of them time it’s on Dramafever (so I mainly watch dramas from there).
AND YES YOU SHOULD WATCH GOBLIN IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY LOL. I watched Goblin on Dramafever since it is exclusively available on there. Of course there are other sites that stream it online, but for a lower quality. Though I highly recommend watching Goblin in nice HD quality… you won’t regret it as Goblin is flippin fabulous aesthetic!

I hope you'll watch it and i hope to see more reviews from you! (Fighting!)
Hey there! Thanks so much! You’re so sweet :)
You know, I was planning to watch While You Were Sleeping. Just haven’t had the time though, but I’ll definitely check it out whenever I get some free time. But right now, I’m sooooooooooo excited for The Package!!! Yonghwa is finally in a drama after so long T____T I get to be graced with his handsomeness again.
Ah, also sorry, I definitely wanted to write more reviews, but this year has been so busy for me especially being my senior year in college. I’m trying my best. But thank you so much for your encouragement! ^^ Getting messages like this really pumps me up to watch dramas and write reviews. I really miss those days talking with you all about Goblin… *cries* Goblin was just so amazing by bringing us all together. *sobs* There needs to be a season 2 lol.

Are you going to review Hospital Ship?
Tumblr media
Of course! Just… I’m not going to be reviewing every episode cause…. it’s like 40 episodes long lol. I’m actually writing a mid-series review right now. And then probably a final series review.

What apps do you watch kdramas on? I noticed some of the shows you talk about are on viki but some like my secret romance aren't
Hello there!
I watch most of my dramas on Dramafever since I have membership. However, if I want to watch something that’s not on Dramafever, then I watch it on Viki because my friend has membership.
Now, I also know there are “other” sites that you can stream dramas on…so there’s that alternative, too, if you’re short on money. But I always support the proper way first, lol… especially if you want to show support for the dramas.

Saying the ending to The King's Woman is a waste of time is dismissing the characters' fundamental personalities. He killed her because, yes, he had a goal. But like she had pointed out, as a king and in his past, he never had anyone to rely on or trust. I agree, not everyone had to die. But war and hate lets out the ugly in people and that's what happened to a lot of them. But he still told her he loved her, and she understood that. That's how she got him to kill her, tragic as it is.
Lol, when I said, “waste of my precious time,” it was used more like a saying instead of being literal. I had just finished watching the last episode and had to blow off steam somewhere.
Logically and rationally, I understand the ending especially being someone who loves to analyze everything that I watch… but emotionally I’m like every other romantic fangirl who wants a happy ending. I’m sorry if what I said offended you, etc., but I wasn’t trying to dismiss the drama or the characters. The drama was fabulous and captured the essence of the era and, probably, what really might have happened if the King had such a wonderful woman by his side.
I also enjoy talking about c-dramas a lot cause they have such a deep plot… I just have no one to talk to with since c-dramas don’t tend to be discussed as much as k-dramas. And like you said, I do think the ending is fitting for the drama since it’s about the first Emperor of China. Li used his love to provoke him and she had already decided to die that day. Therefore, her death was inevitable. However, her death was not in vain because she died to help him with his goal and he understood her actions at the end too. I think he was prepared to die by her hands. At the end, he understood that for the sake of his goal, he had to sacrifice friendship, love, and happiness. Likewise, I also agree that death in period dramas are characterized by hate, war, and revenge.
Overall, I really did enjoy the drama, but at the end of the day… I’m still salty asf because she died and he’s alone, haha.
