blog announcements + some staff updates!

hello! this is graeme from @the-habitat-sysblog, owner of this blog. this post will just be an update regarding the future of this blog, the askbox, some recent questions, & how our personal life may affect this blog. it will all be under the cut!

why has my poll suggestion not been answered?

this blog's queue posts every 2nd day, meaning i was able to set up quite a long queue in the case of stretches of inactivity from us, or a lack of suggestions from followers. the latter, however, has not been a problem at all! whatever asks we have been sent will be turned into polls. we do not delete asks, & will reply with an explanation if there's any reason we are not willing to post the poll. so, keep suggestions coming! the longer we wait to post your ask, the more followers we will have & the bigger the sample size will be!

however, later this week or on the weekend (we have been crazy busy), we are planning on emptying out the entire inbox. this means that now is the time to submit poll ideas! :-) thank you for your patience.

why has staff not replied to my tag/comment/DM?

for the past few weeks, we have been struggling with terrible medical problems due to our physical conditions, a depressive episode, psychosis & mass splitting. this has affected every area of our life, even this blog & its sister-blog. luckily, the queue here has been a life-saver in terms of continuing to deliver new content. however, it has still impacted our ability to staff this blog properly. hopefully, things will ease up soon, but we are unsure.

why has more staff not yet been added to the team?

this is a great question! to celebrate 1k followers, we will be opening up staff applications!

more information will be put out when we get closer to the milestone (we sit around 900, currently), so keep your eyes peeled, & DM us if you think you may want to apply!
