Hearing the door to the study slowly creak open, Kol barely lifts his attention away from the rather hefty book laid out in front of him to greet the intruder. “I haven’t the time to play babysitter today, little brother.” He informs Henrik, a look of concentration plastered across his face as he flips through the pages. This was too important and he’d waste no time in taking the necessary precautions. Somehow he had to ensure Anikaia’s safety from those that sought to destroy her.

“are you okay? you know you can talk to me.” Henrik gently pries, appearing to have sensed his mood. 

Heaving a sigh, Kol finally looks up from his grimoire. Perhaps it was the genuine concern in his voice, but he found Henrik to be the easiest of his siblings to have a real chat with. And as much as he’d like to keep his baby brother out of it, he was already involved and this wasn’t something that he was willing to entrust to Rose or any of his other witches.

“Quite the opposite, actually.” He answers honestly, mouth twitching in slight anger as he struggles to keep his rage in check. “Apparently Bonnie Bennett has issued a warning to Ani about some particularly nasty coven witches. The ones that deal with sirens. They’re working with that dolt Leonardo, and as punishment, he’s told them exactly where to find her.”

When this was all over and the witches were little more than fertilizer under their feet, Kol was going to make sure that vengeful little beast suffered miserably for his crimes against his family. “In due time, I’m going to rip his bloody head off and stick it on a pike in the town square, but for now I could really use your help in securing her safety.”
