Sacrificial Lamb Syndrome

Similar to white knight syndrome, SLS is characterized by the delusion that one must sacrifice themself (literally or metaphorically) for the good of the flock (congregation, family, any type of group)

SLS most often appears alongside paranoid personality disorders. SLS only appears in those who are or were spiritual/religious in some way as it is based off of those beliefs.

SLS is typically caused by Religious or Cult trauma, Mania, Depersonalization or Derealization disorders and is more often found in those who have cluster C personality disorders. It can be managed the same as any other delusion.

Symptoms

Severe religious paranoia, always feeling as though you are not doing “enough” to please your god.

Highly self-critical, typically to the extent that they naturally view themselves as “lesser” then those around them.

Similar to white knight syndrome, they also might feel the need to “fix” their romantic partners, friends, or family. However this is often done at their own expense, they view themselves as the sacrifice.

Obsessive religious practices.

Visual hallucinations or hearing voices.

Self harm or self destructive tendencies.

Suicidal thoughts or actions.

A reliance on the rules and structure of their religion.

Holding false beliefs, such as delusions of grandeur.

Treatment avoidance in favor of religious-based treatment or no treatment at all.

Feeling under the control or influence of spiritual entities to cause harm to themselves, often to “purify” themself or others.

Trauma response will almost always default to fawn especially when trigger is spiritual/religious in nature.

Hello! You can call me Wulff, I decided to make an account dedicated entirely to coining terms and giving tips for transition!

About Me

I call myself a werewolf/lycanthrope, I struggle with hyper-mobility and I’m currently in the progress of getting mobility aids to help me with it! I have BPD, and an unspecified paranoia disorder, alongside delusions. I also have Autism (Low support needs) and ADHD (Combined)

I am also transcharacter however I won’t be speaking on that much here (or anywhere really)

Two delusions I suffer from are Clinical Lycanthropy and Truman syndrome.

I’m a huge nature lover and I’m currently working towards getting a permanent job in forestry. Tumblr is pretty much the only social media I use and I prefer to be offline more than anything else.

I will not coin terms related to paras as I am sex repulsed and any type of sexual relations gross me out on the best of days.

When it comes to tips I’m always going to be cautious giving transition tips for transharm folks.

I refuse to give out transition tips that can cause major bodily harm, including blinding yourself, amputations, or severe body modifications.
