Cherubim Syndrome
HI I KNOW I HAVENT MADE AN INTRO YET BUT I NEED TO COIN THIS It's based on homestuck so you know its good! /silly Read about it under the cut!!
Tumblr media
[no spoons for id]
Cherubim Syndrome Type-1 (CS-1) A (medically unrecognized) disorder characterized by having two distinct identities. One is "good", and the other is "bad", based on the morals in the environment it is developed in. These two identities will switch between being active and non-active, never being the same as the other. This usually happens during sleep or a severely stressful event. The two identities will rarely remember what the other was doing before they switched.
Tumblr media
[no spoons for id] Cherubim Syndrome Type-2 (CS-2) A (medically unrecognized) disorder characterized by having two distinct identities. One is "good", and the other is "bad", based on the morals in the environment it is developed in. These two identities will switch between being active and non-active, never being the same as the other. This usually happens during sleep or a severely stressful event. The difference between CS-1 and CS-2 is that CS-2 does not come with amnesia. I don't have a transid flag for this but feel free to make one!!

Sacrificial Lamb Syndrome
Tumblr media
Similar to white knight syndrome, SLS is characterized by the delusion that one must sacrifice themself (literally or metaphorically) for the good of the flock (congregation, family, any type of group)
SLS most often appears alongside paranoid personality disorders. SLS only appears in those who are or were spiritual/religious in some way as it is based off of those beliefs.
SLS is typically caused by Religious or Cult trauma, Mania, Depersonalization or Derealization disorders and is more often found in those who have cluster C personality disorders. It can be managed the same as any other delusion.
Symptoms
Severe religious paranoia, always feeling as though you are not doing “enough” to please your god.
Highly self-critical, typically to the extent that they naturally view themselves as “lesser” then those around them.
Similar to white knight syndrome, they also might feel the need to “fix” their romantic partners, friends, or family. However this is often done at their own expense, they view themselves as the sacrifice.
Obsessive religious practices.
Visual hallucinations or hearing voices.
Self harm or self destructive tendencies.
Suicidal thoughts or actions.
A reliance on the rules and structure of their religion.
Holding false beliefs, such as delusions of grandeur.
Treatment avoidance in favor of religious-based treatment or no treatment at all.
Feeling under the control or influence of spiritual entities to cause harm to themselves, often to “purify” themself or others.
Trauma response will almost always default to fawn especially when trigger is spiritual/religious in nature.

Hamlet Disorder
Tumblr media
Symptoms of Hamlet Disorder:
Persistent Indecisiveness: Individuals with Hamlet Disorder often experience immense difficulty making decisions, regardless of their significance. They may ruminate excessively, weighing the pros and cons of various options to the point of paralysis, leading to a state of chronic indecisiveness and inaction.
Procrastination and Delayed Action: Those with Hamlet Disorder exhibit a tendency to postpone or delay important tasks or decisions, often due to a fear of making the wrong choice or a preoccupation with potential negative consequences. This hesitation can hinder progress and exacerbate feelings of frustration and self-doubt.
Intrusive Thoughts and Rumination: Hamlet Disorder is characterized by persistent and intrusive thoughts that revolve around existential questions, the meaning of life, mortality, and the nature of reality. Individuals may engage in excessive rumination, constantly questioning their actions, motives, and the consequences of their decisions.
Emotional Turmoil: Emotional instability is a hallmark of Hamlet Disorder. Individuals may experience intense and fluctuating emotions, including profound sadness, guilt, anger, and confusion. These emotional upheavals can contribute to a perpetual state of inner turmoil and psychological distress.
Existential Angst: People with Hamlet Disorder often grapple with profound existential angst, questioning the purpose and value of their existence. They may struggle with feelings of emptiness, alienation, and a general sense of disillusionment with life.
Analysis Paralysis: Hamlet Disorder is characterized by an excessive inclination toward overthinking and analyzing situations and problems. Individuals may engage in prolonged contemplation and intellectualization, often at the expense of taking meaningful action, leading to a cycle of inaction and further psychological distress.
Social Isolation and Withdrawal: Due to their struggle with decision-making and emotional turmoil, individuals with Hamlet Disorder may withdraw from social interactions. They may isolate themselves, avoiding social events and relationships, as they feel overwhelmed by the complexities of human interactions and the fear of making mistakes.

MUD - Medically Unrecognized Disorder
What exactly is it?
An MUD, or a Medically Unrecognized Disorder is a disorder not present within the DSM-V or the ICD-11. These are usually coined by users on Tumblr and each have their own names, descriptions, symptoms and representative flags.
What exactly is the problem about this?
The 'coining' of a disorder in purely medical context requires years of empirical research and can't be based off of personal experience. Lab tests, imagery, observing patterns in patients; alot goes into Disorder research.
These "Disorders" as I've seen are structureless, and such symptoms already exist in disorders listed in the DSM-V.
Before you tell me that the DSM-V isn't the bible, I know that, but is widely referred to for a reason. Have any of the MUD coiners done any any research and the same processing professionals have done to prove that their experience is a disorder? No, I'm not invalidating the fact that you experience it. I'm asking whether it's enough to make a whole new disorder.
Attachment issues are a normal human thing and stem from anxiety. Separation anxiety is a more specific term to use, not "Social Paranoid Explosive Disorder".
"Mental Health Obsessive Disorder" is basically the same as Munchausen Syndrome, where you make yourself ill deliberately or unintentionally in some cases.
What you all seem to be doing is cherry-picking symptoms from a plethora of already existing disorders and remixing them to create a new disorder.
The list goes on, and I can continue with the 'disorders' and their actual counterparts. This is unhealthy behaviour, and is a major part of the reason why professionals today don't take the younger generation seriously.
Please, do try to understand where my viewpoint stands and think rationally on this.
Respectful discussions are welcome, and I'm not here to harrass any of the coiners or namedrop. I genuinely am looking to discuss your viewpoint.
