˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ SUMMARY ; after a good gossip session with your best friend, you find out some interesting information about your ex(?) boyfriend.

masterlist.

you were spending the day with your best friend, hwang hyunjin. the two of you were having your weekly gossiping session. your head snug in his lap as the two of you talked about the people in your classes, the people you both followed on your social medias. you talked about anything and everything.

“i’m sorry. you did what?!” the look of disgust on your best friend’s face pulled you from his lap as you sat up to face him. he took in a deep breath, putting down his iced americano before taking your hands and holding onto them tightly. “i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to look at you like that,” he looked you up and down, one eyebrow raising as he looked over your figure skeptically, “but why’d you sleep with him?”

you sat up straighter, your answer immediately tumbling out of your lips, "i didn't mean to!" hyunjin dead panned, looking over your figure as if you were an idiot - he did not believe you in the slightest. you groaned, pulling your hands from out of his hold, bringing them up to your temples to softly rubbing over them to soothe your on coming headache, debating if you should tell him or not.

with your decision made, you fell back onto the blonde's mattress with a soft thud. "you're a nosey bastard, you know that right?" hyunjin answered your rhetorical question with a smirk, gesturing for you to continue on with your story. you stared up at the ceiling, all thoughts going back to that night, "i didn't plan on sleeping with him, i'm not sure why i even got into his car." there was a long pause, and for a moment hyunjin was worried you had fallen asleep. you slowly sat up on your side, resting your head on the palm of your hand as you looked over at your best friend, "jinnie... he told me he loved me," you whispered, looking down at the sheets, "he said he's always gonna love me, and want me."

he scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at you in disbelief, “so that means you get to be a home-wrecker?” his brow rose, asking you a silent question. immediately sitting up, your jaw dropped in surprise. your hands searching for the nearest thing to pick up, which was a pillow, to hit him with. hyunjin squawked, his arms lifting up to his face, to protect himself from your attacks.

“I'm not even a home wrecker!” you huffed, rolling your eyes, crossing your own arms over your chest. you sat back against the wall, further away from your best friend, wanting to keep yourself ‘safe’ from him, “besides, he’s not even dating anyone.”

hyunjin eyed you, “who told you that?”

you sat up straighter, holding your ground against the faux blonde, “he did.”

hyunjin stared at you, blinking and tilting his head as if he was observing you. his blank face turned into a smile - his hand going over his his mouth as he began to giggle. you frowned, watching as his head tilted back, his hand moving away from his face as he opted to clapping both hands together as he started laughing hysterically, “you actually..? you actually believed him?!” you felt your brow twitch, your frown deepening as you sagged your body back away from him to protect yourself from him once more.

“what's so funny?” you pouted, his laughter, not only annoying, but also making you feel self conscious. you refused to answer his previous question, knowing that he’d only laugh harder and you didn’t know if you could take that.

hyunjin sighed, wiping his eyes of any remaining laughter as he calmed himself down. he took a few moments before he spoke, knowing that if he tried to, he’d just end up in laughter again. “my beloved, there was a reason he told you he wasn’t dating that girl.” he took your hands into his after shuffling his body to face yours, his demeanour now completely serious. “if you believed he was seeing someone else, you wouldn’t have gone to see him or want anything to do with him. he knows that.”

you took a few moments to process what he just told you, everything suddenly making sense. “what the fuck?” your best friend watched as your features suddenly formed into a frown, his own forming into one of a sad smile, “i hate him. hyunjin i want to kill him.”

“no you don’t.” the blonde chuckled, letting go of your hands and his position on the bed to stretch. “i was joking when i called you a home-wrecker, by the way,” he looked back at you, hands on his hips as he put most of his weight onto one foot, “it was obvious you had no idea.”

you didn’t reply, your eyes concentrating on the bed sheets below you as you clenched and unclenched them between your fingers. hyunjin studied you carefully. his arms folded against his chest, eyebrows furrowed as his eyes raked over your form, trying you figure you out. he let out a gasp of realisation, pointing an accusing finger at you, “you’re gonna start an argument!”

you let out a sound of faux shock, holding your hand over your chest as if you were insulted, “no!” you dragged out, a smile forming on your face, “i’m just gonna have a chat with him.” you stood, walking past your best friend and towards the door.

hyunjin groaned, throwing his head back as he ran his large hand through his long blonde hair. “just don’t take it too far, i’m supposed to meet with him later tonight.” he spoke giving you the side eye.

“no promises,” you smile widened as you saw his exasperated face, “love you, bye!” you blew him a kiss before slipping through the door.

lee felix was going to have a piece of you mind, how dare he lie to you.
