I always plan to take lots of progress photos but then I don't (;´-`)
the 1st floor LOOKS mostly done but will need to do lots of interior work before I can do the next floor. Up to and including plans for passing the wiring from the upper floors down.

(Second floor is actually not glued on I just checking the fit)

Me, opening up an LED tealight without any idea how it works: pls don't electrocute me. I just wanna see 😰
Me, five secs later: I can totally put that in a fireplace!
Me, three hrs later, sitting at the dining room table with my head in my hands: omg why do I even try to do miniatures? I'm awful at this. It doesn't work. I've wasted $90 worth of glue. I'm never getting all of this paint out from under my fingernails. Everyone else is so much better. I'm a crafter, not an artist. I should just stay in my lane.
Me, two more hrs later, holding this thing over my head like Simba: I am the President of Miniatures! Look upon my works and despair!!!!

Finished: Bristol Beaufighter Tamiya 1/48.
This kit is another Tamiya gem, very well engineered, hard to muck up. I’ve had it in my stash for over 13 years, figured it was time to throw some glue at it. I ended up brush painting pretty much the whole thing with the amount of top coat and weathering that I did. I’m glad that I’m comfortable enough with brushing to tackle that. A lot of builders are “airbrush or no brush”, but brushes can be an effective tool as well.
The only problems I had on this were self inflicted. I dropped the kit on the last day of the build and broke the torpedo off. Glued it back on, broke it back off. The torpedo wins, it sits on the shelf next to Beaufighter.

1948 Tucker 48 Sedans - Chassis # 1047
The models were issued by Brooklin Models in 2018. They are 1:43 scale and are crafted in white metal. They represent Chassis N# 1047, which is in the Gilmore Car Museum Collection. The car in the museum is displayed with black wall tires, so I changed one to reflect that. The models are finished in Waltz Blue/200. BRK 222c

It's so much bigger than I thought it was gonna be! The booklet is massive and this is gonna be a month or two of a project once I get to it. Box cutter is for scale.

Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I, modified into Mk.II P8088 “Borough of Lambeth”

Decals are from Airfix. Brush painted and weathered with a pencil.
Despite being an older kit (first tooled up in 1993!), it holds up extremely well! Good detail and part fits with minimal gaps. Honestly my best work so far, also managed to make the door interchangeable between the “closed” and “open” position.
Score: 10/10, would recommend

My toxic trait is thinking about how cool my life would be if a tiny thing I've just done towards reaching my long-term goals worked out the way I want (and being way too optimistic about it). Having no guarantee (beyond hope) that it could work. Or, alternatively, thinking that something wouldn't work way too early.

Finished: Italeri 1/48 North American AT-6 Harvard in RNZAF 1975 markings.
The only real issue that I had is that this kit doesn't have the option for the short exhaust stack, so I sort of bashed together on that works OKish. Oh, I also accidentally put the wing roundel on the fuselage, but it's fine, everything is fine.
