Found in my drafts: a NYE QnA from 2018 going into 2019! A lot has changed about me since then, but a lot of this is important to me!

Q: First things first, did you have a good year? A:It was alright. Better than the last two, aside from those couple months I was in a DEEP depression hole.

Q: How old did you turn this year? A: Hhhhhhhhhh 19.

Q: Do you feel your age? A: Absolutely not, lemme be 15 again please, just don't send me back to highschool.

Q: Did your appearance change in anyway? A: Gained some weight, lost a good amount of it again, cut my hair.

Q: Post your favorite selfie. A: No.

Q: If you traveled, where did you go? A: Hahaha. HAHAHA! HAA HAA HAAAAAA!

Q: Which fashion trends did you love? A: Idgaf about trends

Q: Which fashion trends did you hate? A: Idgaf about trends

Q: What was your favorite article of clothing this year? Post a pic if possible? A: My fancy black coat!

Q: What song sums up this year for you? A: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Clay Pedrini (If you look it up, there's a spesific version. It starts out with an evil laugh, an organ, and a scream, and Hyde's misspelled in the video but not the title)

Q: What album came out and has been on heavy rotation since then? A: Lol no.

Q: What was your favorite movie of the year? A: Not a movie person.

Q: Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year? A: Can't remember.

Q: Favorite new TV show? A: Craig of The Creek, I guess. It's not a hyperfixation, but it came out this year and I enjoyed it.

Q: Which new ship/fandom has taken over a lot of your time, attention, and tears? A:Eh.

Q: What food did you try for the first time? A: A salmon poke bowl. (Bought packaged from Aldi but it was delicious.)

Q: Did you make any big permanent changes this year? A: Everything in this universe is temporary.

Q: What was one nice thing you did for someone else? A: Drew a picture of a friend when he was having a bad day to bring a smile to his face.

Q: What was one nice thing you did for yourself? A: Haircut.

Q: Did you develop a new obsession? A: JEKYLL AND HYDE.

Did you vote? Unfortunately, I didn't register in time, BUT I'M ALL SET UP FOR 2020, BRING IT ON. (2023 note: I did end up voting! Yay!)

Q: Did you move? A: Still in this wet cardboard box of a house with literal mold n shit and sunlight coming in through holes in the roof, send help. (2023 note: I got the help O needed!)

Q: Did you get a job? A: No.

Q: Did you get a pet? A: Kitties had kittens! (2023 note: I miss my cats, Tails. I miss them so much.)

Q: Do you regret not doing anything? A: Too many things.

Q: Do you regret doing something? A: Leaving my tech where it could get broken.

Q: Have you done anything that scared you? A: Possible trigger warning for bugs/worms! So one time me and my irl bestie (not to be confused with my discord/tumblr bestie) were exloring a creek. Catching and releasing crayfish, finding neat things in the water, taking cool photos, all sorts of stuff. I manage to fish this black orb-like thing out of the water. It looked like it came off a tree or something, it was definitely plant based in origin. I open it up out of curiosity, and what do I find? It's FULL of little white wiggling things!! I couldn't tell if they were maggots or what, but I was TERRIFIED! I fucking DROPPED that thing IMMEDIATELY, and we both got out of there ASAP!

Q: Did anyone/thing make you so mad it stayed with you for days? A: If you had asked me that two years ago, boy would I have had a story for ya, but this year nah. I usually pretty much let a lot of things go quickly.

Q: Did you lose anyone close to you? A: TRIGGER WARNING FOR ANIMAL DEATH. There was a kitten. A poor little newborn kitten. They were only in this world for a few days, but I had grown to love them so much. They were having trouble for day 1, but I was rooting for 'em. Caring for 'em. Trying my best to help 'em grow up strong and healthy. They refused to drink their mama's milk, so me and my mum took turns feeding 'em with a bottle. Then, one day, they started choking on the milk. I was freaking out and blaming myself for possibly squeezing the bottle too hard. We tried our best to help the poor little one, but to no avail. The life left their body as I cradled 'em in my arms. Rest in peace, little Me-Mow. Please know that you were so very loved, and are still missed.

Q: Did you fall in love? A: Ha.

Q: Did you fall out of love? AHa!!

Q: Did you start a new relationship? A: Lotsa new friendships! Shoutout to the madsquad! (2023 note: I still love ya guys!!!)

Q: Did you go through a break up? A: I was still kinda dealing with breakup emotions in January and some of February but s'all good now.

Q: Did you have to cut ties to someone? A: Yep... kinda feel bad about it though... I'm worried about her... she was just a kid, but I just couldn't play therapist anymore. My advice was terrible and almost got her in big trouble. I'm so sorry.......

Q: Who was important to you this year but wasn’t important last year? A: New friendo Hatch. Sorry I don't really talk in the server as often but you are cool important friendo who deserves good things in life and may 2019 bring good things for you. (2023 note: We’re dating and our third anniversary is this month ((June))!!! I love it so much!)

Q: Who wasn’t as important to you this year as they were last year? A: Can't say...

Q: If you could have a do over on one thing you did, would you take it? A: Yeah. (2023 note: I forgor what I meant by this.)

Q: What was the best moment of the year for you? A: The BEST? I can't really say! But going to that haunted house this year was awesome! Also the early days of the Shivering Isles discord server had a lot of good moments!

Q: What was the worst? A: A lot of these types of moments involve my dad and I don't wanna go into detail. (2023 note: HIS ASS GOT KICKED OUTTA THE HOUSE LAST YEAR, VICTORYYYYY!!!!)

Q: Did anything happen that you were sure would change you as a person but it really didn’t? A: Not that I can think of.

Q: Did anything happen to you that you were sure wouldn’t change you as a person but it did? A: Going swimming with my irl bestie brought me out of my depressive episode and started me towards finding myself again.

Q: What are you most proud of accomplishing? A: Learning a lot about how to just enjoy myself without fear of negative opinions.

Q: What have you learned about yourself this year that you didn’t know in the years prior? A: I finally get why I haven't exactly been comfortable calling myself a female. Identifying that way has felt like a piece of clothing that doesn't exactly fit ya right but ya can/gotta deal with it. It's time to wear something that fits me better. I'm nonbinary.

Q: Did your opinion of anyone change for the better? A: Yes.

Q: Did your opinion of anyone change for worse? A: Oh, absolutely.

Q: If you make resolutions, did you complete them this year? A: Hahaha, not exactly.

Q: If you make resolutions, what will your resolutions be for the coming year? A: Make more art and be a better friend.

Q: If you could go on an adventure during the remaining days of the year, where would you go and what would you do? Who and what would you like to see? A: I would visit Australia, meet my online bestie finally, and kick off the new year with him right now if I could.

Q: What do you wish for others for the coming year? A: HAPPINESS AND COMFORT!!!!!!!

Rating the Ikepri boys outfits from act one because I study fashion history in my spare time:

Jin: 6/10. It’s not bad, but it’s kinda basic? Like it just reminds me of classic black suits. The reason this doesn’t get a four is because a:it IS purple, and b: classic black suit is kinda Jin’s personality. The feathers are cool, and tied in with the purple and gold, but they also seem just kinda…there, in my opinion. His pants are not questionable….somehow

Chev: 7/10. Suits his character but I would have liked white pants with a black stripe stripe down the side. There is…so much going on, and most of it would be impractical, but historically, that was how you would show wealth and therefore power, so I see where he is coming from. Especially with the fur. The neck of the jacket is weird to me, cause that just seems dangerous while fighting. I hope it has a quick release. At least you could theoretically slip out of that cape

Clavis: 9/10. This boy is clearly feeling the 2000’s emo with all of his belts and that feels like a very Clavis thing to me. I love the white pants and the purple jacket. What kills me is that one purple belt and that little pocket thing. It just bothers me so bad. Like the tie is gorgeous. Colour palette is gorgeous. Gotta love some high waisted pants. Those things are just—why? Well it’s Clavis, that’s why.

Leon: ……4/10. Like I feel like I have seen this 100 times before and I am bored of it. Like ya, okay, the colour combo is good but it’s boring. What saves it is that it does genuinely suit Leon. Even with the very questionable belt holding up his scabbard (it looks like it’s holding on for dear life), it DOES suit Leon and the front he wishes to put up. If I were to do it, I would have leaned into the colours of the lion more. Have some very warm sort of ambers and yellows that still would have suited him.

Yves: 10/10. Immaculate. I love it. It’s both practical and interesting. The bells actually tie in well thanks to the gold and the dangle earring. Colour palette is immaculate. I am a sucker for some stripped pants which he totally wears to make his legs look longer—you cannot tell me otherwise. Love how they have done the cravat. I need this outfit.

Leech: 5/10…what????? Okay I like the jacket. I think it’s pretty cool. The fur…just throws me off? So does the shirt sticking out. So does the place where the belt sits. His pants look baggy, which would be fine…but I feel like that’s more Luke’s vibe? Is there a story here? The fur thing is really what bothers me. Like—what????? Why is it there??? Fur capes are a thing we have established—it’s more practical.

Nokto: 7/10. Wish the waist coat was more fitted…and more…plunging. This man is a whore and undershirts were considered undergarments in history. Also, he gives me the vibes of someone who would have their button up open to expose their chest, ya know. I like the layering, but…why does it have a cape thing? Like, ya, drama, but you already have the jacket, and that fabric covers your ass??? Also the tassle things??? They confuse me. If he had more tassles I would get it—but just…those? Heh? I wonder if it’s a reference to the fox spirits trying to become nine tailed foxes…i feel like I am reaching

Luke: 2/10. WHAT HAPPENED????? I DON’T????? WHAT??? THERE ARE ZIPPERS HERE NOW APPARENTLY. ALSO THAT BELT IS JUST….WHY IS IT THERE? WHAT IS THAT PURPLE TUNIC? It gets a two because I see they were trying to make him look out of place and more ‘common’. But usually common fashion was really just less fancy noble fashion. The belt really makes no sense. Its not holding up anything, it is overtop of his layers, and it does not hold his sword. Its also really ugly in my opinion. Like why? Also the zippers—why zippers? Why? Why not buttons? Even the same colour as his shirt? I like the green thing. I woulf probably wear that, but the rest is just so….what is going on? My brain hurts.

Seriel: 6/10. Looks like a weird priest, which is very Sariel, but what is that vest thing? It looks like a pain in the ass, not gunna lie. I don’t really have much to say about him…he’s just there.

Rio: 1/10. I look at him and I yawn. It’s not that it’s bad. But it’s also merely…okay. Like, at least Luke’s made me feel SOMETHING. But he’s just kinda…blah. And I get why. He’s supposed to be her butler. And usually nobility did not want to actually see there help? But like…I’m rating this based on all of the other guys.

Anyway, that’s me being judgmental off of no grounds whatsoever—lmao.

I’m a strong believer that fashion should be used to further or reinforce the story, and for most of them, I can see that they do go well with their characters. I think, based off the importance of the rose, it should be more integrated into their clothing, but that’s me being picky, lol

Sidenote: I’m not comparing it to the actual clothes from the time period belle could have taken place in…mainly because this is fantasy, and also because…I would be shredding it unnecessarily, lol. I’m just basing it off of human behaviour that we see throughout history…and if I think the clothes are actually good and good for their character.

Isabel has favourite band

And she used to listen to their music on vinyl

Alma was never a huge fan (they just weren't her cup of tea)

But before they went separate ways (finished school or smth), Isabel gave her vinyl collection to Alma

One day feeling nostalgic Alma listened to a few and it made her cry

She'd start listening to them more often and they quickly became her favourite too

She'd listen to them when she missed Isabel. So ALL THE TIME

After Isabel moves in with Alma and the kids she notices her old vinyl collection and is touched that Alma kept them all this time

Then she asks why she has them

Alma explains that she took a liking to them

When Isabel asks why the sudden change of heart Alma says she missed her

Isabel asks what's her favourite song

Alma gets it out and hands it to her

She plays it

And as the music starts

I:Do you still hold such a strong dislike towards dancing?

A:It's not so much of a dislike as it's the fact that I'm still not very good

I:I won't tell

Then they dance around the room

“Haha you sneeze like a girl!” Monoma laughed walking behind him pointing his finger at him like a grade school just how immature could you be? They were third years! Most days Kirishima would have shrugged it off but it was a ponytail and eyebags day and maybe violence was the answer so cracking his knuckles and shoving Monoma into the lockers a lot lighter than he would have like he got in his face glaring “Yeah!? Reading Luca’s interviews is always such an amazing experience, a few of my favorites from El Pais interview for San Sebastian Film Festival

Q: The tv series speaks about teenagers that grow up in a very stressful time (the time of world anxiety). That’s why they are so melancholic?

A: Well, the thing is I’m deeply melancholic. I’ve picked up 2016 as a starting point because it marks the end of an illusion. We thought that change caused by Barack Obama would stay forever and then, suddenly, we understand it’s not true. In reality, the progress is one step forward, and one step back, or to the right, or left.

Q: A lot of your characters are LGBTIQ

A: For me, queer is not linked to sexuality, but to a radical difference of the individual. Being queer is not worrying about being included and not suffering from possible exclusion. So are my characters.

Q: Is it easier to be queer today than when you were young?

A: I'm not sure. Maybe it will be in Madrid or Barcelona, but go to La Mancha ... I always fight on this issue with many people. I believe that it is only capitalism, which tries to sell us that the individual can be everything and, consequently, buy everything. I believe that this radical difference is still difficult to accommodate.

Q: Your series is different in another thing: it has no qualms about showing nudity. Above all, the male.

A:It is not something I formalize in my head. If someone is naked in it is because they would be in reality. If I left the penis out of the scene it would be an act of falsehood and stupidity. That most directors still believe it a taboo? Of course. But I don't believe in the majority.

Q: After the success of Call me by your name, you did not go to Hollywood. You preferred to continue working from Europe, even for the studios or for HBO.

A: I'm too old to agree to work on projects where I don't have full control. They tried to hire me a couple of times, but the scripts were bad. I did not grow up with the desire to replicate the American model. If European cinema today is in a depressing state, it is because many directors began to imitate it in the eighties. Why don't Spanish filmmakers follow the example of Víctor Erice and prefer to imitate Hollywood standards, sometimes with great success?

Now the author collabed with an artist and they made some illustrations that go with the story. A:So you got this book to stare at the pictures even though you know what happens in the story? M:I was curious about how different were the characters that I imagined in comparison with what the author imagined. Anyways, what brings you here? A:Oh! I came to visit you. You said that this those wedding arrangements are due this week so I thought that you might be stressed. Do you want to hang out a bit? M:Thank you for thinking of me. I'll put this bouquet in place. Wait for me at the picnic tables while I close the shop.

A:I made a batch of cupcakes at home. I brought one for you to try it. M:It's cute. You did not hold back in decorating it! A:Thank you. I'm new at baking, cooking is my speciality. M:[after taking a bite]It's delicious! If your baking if this good, I wonder how you good is your cooking! You have to prepare something for me some day. A:Just say the date and time. It's nice hearing someone complimenting my cooking. I usually cook only for myself, all of my other relatives are away. M:Then how do you spend the holidays? A:I videocall my familly. Visit Imane and Miakel or a highschool friend. And stay at home. M:Luckly for you, your friend group has grown. That means that you'll spend Christmas and New Year' with us! Also, when's your birthday? A:The 27th of October. Your's is in April, right? M:Yes. On the 7th so you better think of a gift. A:It's August already. How am I supposed to find a gift in such a short period of time? M:I'll give you a list of what I want. [both burst into laughter] A:That was a good laugh. It's getting darker, it's time to go home. Did you take the bus? M:Yes. I don't have a license and I don't intend on getting one. A:That means I'll drive you home. Come on. M:If you insist. :D

Debunking

We’ve talked about this scene before- the Kurt rant given by Santana. Naya just said she was uncomfortable and she mentioned that Chris was upset. sugdendingle just posted that Chris “liked” her Tweet where she called out how much she didn’t like it. She added a second comment that includes:

None of the other cast were personally attacked in the ways Chris was and to the extent Chris was. I don’t know what Ryan Murphy’s issues were with Chris but he clearly he had some....I’m talking about real life here. About how Ryan Murphy and his writers used the character of Kurt to personally attack Chris Colfer on a regular basis and it’s clear Chris agrees to some extent as he liked my tweet.

That scene in season six was one of the worst examples but hardly the only one. Chris not being traditionally masculine was like a running joke on that show. As was remarks about his voice, his appearance, his sexuality, how he danced, etc. Yes other characters faced insults but it never got as personal as it did with Chris and it wasn’t as extensive either. The insults to Kurt went on right to the end of the show you can’t say the same for the other characters. It’s just really sad that Chris had to endure a work enivorment like this especially considering he was bullied when he was younger.

Abby adds:

My opinion. The poor treatment stems from extreme jealousy. For many, many reasons. And of course c’s refusal to do as he’s told.(X)

Debunk #1

None of the other cast were personally attacked in the ways Chris was and to the extent Chris was. Was Chris harassed by the writers “more than any other character”? I spent a few minutes looking at Santana’s rants-and Santana seems to be the ranter on Glee. I don’t believe her rants about Chris’s failings is any worse than she she said about Finn’s weight. Rachel or really Lea’s nose being too big had an entire episode-and several comments through the years- and Kurt staged a flashmob at the mall to talk her out of plastic surgery. Sam was called Trouty Mouth as a running joke including a song “Trouty Mouth” sang by Santana.

“I just heard the news that Trouty Mouth was back in town. I’ve been keeping a notebook, just in case this day ever came. Welcome back, Lisa Rinna. I’ve missed you so much since your family packed their bags, loaded them in your mouth and skipped town. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to enjoy a crisp pickle, but couldn’t find anyone to suck the lid off the jar. I assume you’ve been working as a baby polisher where young mothers place their infants’ heads in your mouth to get back that newborn shine. So glad you’re back. I haven’t seen a smile that big since the acclamation abominable snowman got his teeth pulled by that little gay elf dentist. Love, Santana” (X)

This one she also hit at Tina’s Asian eyes and Rachels nose- though I didn’t include that part.

Santana: Hold up, could we all just get real here for a second? I hear that Rachel has a bit of a schnoz. I mean I wouldn't know because like Medusa I try to avoid eye contact with her. But can we all just stop lying about how there aren't things we don't want to change about ourselves? I'm sure that Sam has been at the doctor's office and riffled through pamphlets on mouth reductions. I'll bet Artie's thought about getting his legs removed since he's not really using them anyway. And I'm definitely sure Tina has looked into eye de-slanting. Tina: That's extraordinarily racist. Santana: Just keeping it real. Tina: Sorry Santana, I'm a beautiful person. I'm in love with myself and I would never change a thing. Mike: Is that why you're wearing blue contacts today, Tina? [whispers] Self hating Asian. Tina: Not too many Asian sex symbols, Mike. I'm just trying to mirror what I see in magazines. Finn: My dancing kind of bothers me. It almost killed Rachel but I like the way I look. Santana: Oh please. You have weird puffy pyramid nipples. Sam: [tries to look at Finn's nipples] Finn: [slaps Sam's hand away] Santana: They look like they're filled with custard. Or you could dust them off with powdered sugar and pass it off as some sort of dessert. Look, maybe Rachel is fine with having an enormous beak. Maybe she needs it to crack hard seeds. All I'm saying is if you look in the mirror and you don't like what you see, you should change it.”(X)

“I’ve kissed Finn, and can I just say… not worth a buck. I would, however, pay a hundred dollars to jiggle one of his man boobs”. (X)

Santana: “Please stick a sock in it or ship yourself back to Scotland. I’m trying to apologize to Lumps The Clown. I am sorry, Finn. I mean, really, I’m sorry that the New Directions are gonna get crushed by the Troubletones. And I’m also sorry that you have no talent. Sorry that you sing like you’re getting your prostate checked, and you dance like you’ve been asleep for years and someone just woke you up. Have fun riding on Rachel’s coattails for the rest of your life, although, you know what, I would just watch out for her come holiday time if I were him, because if I were her, I’d stick a stent in one of those boobs and let the Finn blubber light the Hanukkah lamp for eight magical nights.” (X)

Santana: “Why is everyone staring at me like I’m Finn and I just won a butter eating contest” (X)

She even hit him during The Quarterback “Okay, I know that Finn had his doubts about God but I am convinced that Squishy Teets is up in heaven right now plopped down next to his new best friend Fat Elvis helping themselves to a picnic of baby back ribs smothered in butterscotch pudding and TaterTot grease so this is for you Hudson” (X)

She also did a combo Finn/Sam rant “Not only am I giving you full visitation rights to the set of rambunctious twins that live on my rig cage, you get the chance to show that pastry bag Finn that he can’t mess with Sam Evans. And not just because you can unlock your humongous jaw and swallow him whole like a python…” (X)

The Kurt rant

“Kurt I took what you said to heart, and I thought long and hard about it, and it occurred to me that you may have a point. Okay, maybe Brittany and I are too young to get married. I mean, after all, that's why it didn't work out with you and Blaine, right? Or maybe it didn't work out because you're a judgmental little gentrophile with a mouth like a cat's ass. Maybe Blaine got tired of hearing your shrill, self-aggrandizing lecture about how you felt the two of you were at the very apex of the gay rights movement every time you so much as cooked macaroni and cheese together or farted. Maybe Blaine didn't want to be with someone who looks like they just removed their top row of dentures every time they smile or someone who doesn't dress like an extra out of one of Andy Dick's more elaborate wet dreams. Maybe Blaine grew weary of dating a breathier, more feminine Quinn Fabray. Maybe he finally got freaked out about your strange obsession with old people that causes you to skulk around nursing homes like one of those cats that can smell cancer. Maybe he got tired of watching you drape yourself on every piano you happen to pass to entertain exactly no one with, say, some song that Judy Garland choked on her tongue in the middle of or some sassy old Broadway standard made famous by another dead alcoholic crone. Maybe Blaine woke up one day and said, "You know what I don't want to marry a sexless, self-centered baton twirler. Maybe I need someone who knows more than three dance moves: "the finger wag", "the shoulder shimmy" and the one where you pretend to twirl two invisible rainbow-colored ribbons attached to your hips. So, you know what, maybe that's why it didn't work out. Maybe it has nothing to do with me and Brittany. Maybe it's just that you are utterly, utterly intolerable. Maybe that has something to do with it."(X)

Conclusion: Chris was not attacked more than other actors on Glee. The writers were pretty vicious about the physical characteristics of Rachel’s nose, Finn’s weight and man boobs and Sam’s nose. They also wrote about Damian’s height referring to as Leprechaun. All are very personal attacks about the actor; not the character. Finn’s boobs were used as fodder for humor after he died so the idea that no other character was humiliated throughout the show is untrue.

Debunk #2

I don’t know what Ryan Murphy’s issues were with Chris but he clearly he had some. Ryan didn’t write Santana’s vicious lines-Brad Falchuk did. I spent enough time researching this and finding late-season interview is hard but earlier interviews show that Ryan really respected Chris and Kurt.

Ryan did an interview with NYT in 2010 Q:Is this story in any way autobiographical or a reflection on your own experiences growing up?

A:It wasn’t really true to my experience at all. But I know so many people that it was true to. It was very true to Chris Colfer’s experience, and working with him for the past year, he would tell me stories. It’s amazing to me — last year when we did the “Glee” tour, every time Chris Colfer came out on that stage for his bows, 100 percent, he got the loudest cheers and applause, from all groups of people. Little girls, parents. A lot of people have embraced him and he’s part of their television-going family, so to see an episode in which he’s physically threatened is very upsetting for people, I think. But it puts a face on it.

Q: It’s still rare to see gay characters on prime-time network programs, let alone one who is out in the way that Kurt is, and at a young age. Is there ever any pressure on you to tone down the portrayal of that character?

A: No, surprisingly not. Three episodes into the series last year, when we did the “Single Ladies” football number with him, he became an audience favorite and people started to write about that character and Chris Colfer. I think that character is in many ways the most important character on television, particularly for kids. When I was growing up, there was nobody like that. I think that character changes lives. I think that character launches conversation, both good and bad, and that’s a very powerful thing. I’ve done shows where if a character is a little bit controversial, the network and the studio are like, “Could you please tone that down?” They never did that at all with this character, and they were all very supportive of the story line. (X)

“Growing up in Indianapolis, Murphy sang in his church choir and immersed himself in high school musicals. His father was a semi-pro hockey player who was baffled by a son who requested a Vogue subscription when he was 5 years old and performed in his bedroom, holding a hairbrush in front of a mirror. He may not have understood his son, but he accepted him, even when Murphy revealed that he was gay at 15″.

“Having a dad that loves you as a young man is a very powerful thing that you carry into the world,” Murphy said. “Because no matter what you do, in some weird, unconscious way, if you’re a guy, you always try to please your dad. I think it’s a great thing to put on television. You’ve seen the gay character that gets kicked out of the house or is beaten up. You haven’t seen the gay character that is teased a little bit, but wins and triumphs.”

“The scene in which he tells his father was taken verbatim from Murphy's own life. Murphy felt that the scene was "a great thing to put on television", because, while gay characters are often isolated and attacked, audiences have rarely seen an openly gay character who "wins and triumphs". He further explained, "The show is about making you feel good in the end. It's about happy endings and optimism and the power of your personal journey and making you feel that the weird thing about me is the great thing about me. I've done other shows with gay characters, and I will say that in many of those cases, the gay characters didn't have a happy ending. And I thought you know what? Enough."(X)(X)

We also know that Ryan created the role of Kurt specifically for Chris.

We don’t know what happened with the fall out(s) on set. Chris said he wouldn’t work for Ryan and

“To this day, I'm devastated by everything that happened with that show." (X)

Other interring things I found:

“Over the course of six seasons of Glee, which petered out earlier this year, there was plenty written about backstage drama, fractured relationships and the death of star Cory Monteith from a drug overdose. All Murphy will offer are his own misgivings about his role on the show. "I was there with them all day long, and then we'd finish work and we'd go out and have fun all night, and I guess in a weird, twisted way, I was trying to relive the childhood I never had," he says. "I thought they wanted a parent, and they didn't. They didn't want me to tell them what to f—ing do. They didn't want me to tell them how to treat each other or what the world was like at the end of the day. I wish I could go back and do that differently with a lot of those actors. Some of them I'm still very close to: Lea Michele, Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss — but there were some that didn't work out well, and I regret that. I guess I just wish I had been able to let them figure it out for themselves."(X)

Conclusion: Ryan is a grown man and didn’t have it out for Chris. He respected Chris and used the Kurt role to tell his story of being a gay boy in small midwest town.

Debunk #3

Abby has claimed Ryan is jealous of Chris many times over the years-it still isnt’ true. Ryan is a very successful producer, writer, creator. I found a few quotes to back that up.

“It's a peculiar thing to be asked by Murphy, 50, the closest thing the TV industry has to a proven hitmaker, save, perhaps, for Shonda Rhimes. Over the past decade and a half, he's made pop-culture juggernauts out of plastic surgeons on Nip/Tuck, high school misfits on Glee and witches, nuns and nymphomaniacs on American Horror Story. And in that time, he's become a name brand himself, more famous than all but the biggest stars in his sprawling casts. The showrunner, both pop savant and provocateur, has one of the richest eight-figure deals in television and a coterie of loyalists that includes Gwyneth Paltrow(with whom he's about to pitch a musical dramedy), Julia Roberts, Jessica Lange and now Lady Gaga. He's hosted President Obama at his home for a $40,000-a-couple fundraiser, and when he mentions his friends Norman, Barbra and David, he's referring to Lear, Streisand and Geffen.(X)

"There's a limited number of creators in film or TV where if you put the title plus their name — if you say, 'Steven Spielberg's blah blah blah' or 'Marvel's blah blah blah' — you're going to get a different answer than if you don't," Landgraf says, "and Ryan is one of those guys."(X)

Chris is a successful writer and if he is successful in writing and directing the TLOS movie, he could be a power player in Hollywood. But right now- even with his Time 100 award, he isn’t anywhere near Ryan Murphy. I suppose Ryan could be jealous of something other than Chris’s success but I have seen no evidence of that.

Conclusion: Nope.
