Okay, so in my compilation, one could argue that I cheated a few cases by including younger girls who physically matured early. (In fact, I cut some selections that would have featured Rikako and Kassa for this reason.) To balance, here's Country Girls with their total babyfaces in Yanafuna (but also next to Ozeki, who is the same age but not a babyface), doing a set where the joke is that these babyface younguns are performing songs about being an adult. In the first song, the ages of the performers involved are 18, 14, and 14. In the second song, ages are 18, 16, and 14. In the final song, ages are 24, 14, 14, and 14. 18 and 12, in context

So there’s this relationship in Simoun, Dominura and Rimone. Their ages during the majority of canon are 18 and 12, respectively.

Obviously, the designs are doing a lot of work exaggerating the gap. So I thought I’d highlight real life cases where teenage girls of 6 years apart or more are working together professionally, often with performative rituals of intimacy: the idol industry. This is going to be a multi-part post, due to the limit on how many video embeds I can have in a post.

In the above performance, the one in pink is 24, and the one in turquoise is 14, so this is actually a 10 year gap. In fact, the performance was deliberately about pairing the oldest idol in the franchise at the time with the youngest.

Also, some ages might be younger, given that the MV would have been shot before the release date I’m using as reference.
