@lari_ghee is a 22-year-old Wellington based artist who produces and writes her songs in her home studio. She is a self-taught producer and has been writing and making music officially for 4 years. As her craft has grown so has her music evolved and with more sounds to come our way. She experiments with her own vocals, live instruments (her Dad’s old KORG synthesizer) and plays around with beats on her Alesis V25 until she finds what she likes. Bitter Sweet was originally going to be a completely different song, a song with lengthy lyrics and a melody she made on Ableton; however, she wanted to make a more energetic song with a cutting edge bass line to make the crowds pump. She produces what she feels in the mood for and draws from artists that she listens to like these legendary musicians Jefe, Deadmau5, Flume, Moby and many more artists that have paved their way. In 2020 she will be performing a gig in Wellington city (date to be confirmed) and is very excited to perform live. Hey! It is not a piano!!
This is a really solid MIDI keyboard, and for the price, comes with a whole ton of functions. Super easy to use with FL Studio 12, low latency and smooth keys. Didn't really use the Ableton 9 Live Lite it came with, but it's definitely a nice touch for some people. The software is a bit complicated for beginners and is hard to use to change any default settings, which I noticed when trying to set up drum pads, and youtube doesn't have too many tutorials on it either. When it came in, it was actually much bigger than I realized, and it isn't the most compact keyboard you can get, but it definitely gets the job done. Other than that, solid keyboard! By Bryan D. Lin
