Every year the peace lovers from all over the world come together in Karbala city in Iraq. In the Arbaeen journey -- people also call it the journey of love -- no matter if you're from Vatican, Chile, Africa or Asia. They welcome you in the best way!
Follow her and she will know your name
In you, she will set the love of Hussayn aflame
She will teach you his love should come first
And that it is his thirst before your thirst
„the redness of the sunset and sunrise is a sign that is mourning for Imam Hussain (ع).” - Tafsir Noir Dhaqalain, V.4, p. 628
- seeing people heading towards Karbala these days leaves a deep sadness in me, I cannot even describe it. another year, another arbaeen where I am not at your shrine.., may Allah forgive me for the sin I commit which causes our separation..
Master of all goodness. It's the birth of the soul of the Prophet (s), the birth of the love of Fatimah (as), the birth of our dear father, Imam Ali (as). He is the one who remembering his name is an act of worship and remembering him is sweet for us. On this blessed day, what is better than spending a few minutes remembering him and looking at the beautiful life of this luminous being? In the following, we will review parts of his life and words together.

Maybe no one will believe it, but the story of me becoming Muslim was as short as a short walk to Kufa. It was me and a well-mannered, middle-aged man whom I bumped into on the way. He was going to Kufa, and I was going to another village.
We should have parted ways at the place where the road split, but he came with me. I asked him, "Aren't you going to Kufa? Why are you coming this way?"
The stranger said, "I want to accompany you for a while in order to fulfil the right of your friendship. Our Prophet has said that whenever two people travel together on a road, they have rights on each other. It is necessary for a Muslim to accompany his companion a few extra steps."
His words touched my heart, and I said, "Then let me come to Kufa to learn a little more about Islam."
It was there in Kufa that I found out this stranger was the Caliph of the Muslims, the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (as)! How could I not become Muslim after seeing his beautiful behavior? [Kafi, vol. 2, p. 670]

In war, the battle flag means everything. It means we are still there. It means we are still fighting and have hope to win. As long as the flag was raised up and moving forward on the shoulder of the flag bearer, those fighting in the battle were happy and moving forward too. That is why the flag was always in the hand of the bravest fighter. He was the most important fighter in the battle after the commander.
The Battle of Badr was the first battle of the Muslims. From the time of the Battle of Badr to the Prophet's last battle, only one person was the flag bearer for the Muslim army. He was the hero of the Arabs and the lion of God, Ali (as). [Irshad Mufid, chapter 22]

The Prophet (s) said, "Whoever wants to see the knowledge of Adam, the understanding of Noah, the temperament of Moses, the prayers and customs of Jesus, and all the perfect virtues of Muhammad should look at the one who is entering now." People were stretching their necks to see. Everyone was looking at the door of the mosque. The Prophet's son-in-law, Ali (as), entered the mosque. He was the one who had the knowledge of Adam, the understanding of Noah, the temperament of Moses, the customs of Jesus, and all the perfect virtues of Muhammad.

The Qumus Fort was the strongest fort of Khaybar. The Muslim soldiers were standing in front of its door. The Jewish soldiers had fled from Ali (as) and taken refuge in this fort. The immense door of the fort was closed and no one knew what to do. The door was so immense that even tens of men together couldn't break it down.
When Ali (as) pulled off the door
with his bare hands, all the soldiers said, “Allahu Akbar.” Later, Ali (as) himself said, "I didn't pull off the door of Khaybar with energy gained from food.
Rather, spiritual power and my soul enlightened by the divine light enabled me to do this." [Irshad Mufid, p. 57]

Before the son-in-law of the Prophet went there, they were still hesitant. Before that many deputies had been sent there. The last one was Khalid bin Walid. Khalid was a famous commander and politician. But the people of Yemen did not accept to become Muslim. Then the Prophet of God (s) sent his son-in-law.
The people of Hamdan became Muslim the first day Ali (as) arrived there, and the rest of the people followed them. Imam Ali (as) was the deputy of the Prophet of God (s) in Yemen. He was responsible for judging and governing during the time that he was there. That was why the people of Yemen all fell in love with him and became the Shi'a of Imam Ali (as).

There’s a ziyarah which al-Shaykh al-Tusi narrated in the books of Tahdhib al-ahkam and Misbah al-mutahajjid from Safwan al-Jammal:
My master Imam al-Sadiq (a) told me about the Ziyarat of Imam al-Husayn (a) in the day of Arba’in: when a part of day had passed, recite this:Peace be upon the friend of Allah and His beloved; peace be upon the close friend of Allah and His chosen one; peace be upon…
