Founder Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani
Commonly known as Armani, is an Italian luxury, fashion house founded by Giorgio Armani that designs, manufactures, distributes and resells haute couture, ready -to -wear, leather goods, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories, eyewear, cosmetics and interior of the house. The brand markets this product with several labels including Giorgio Armani, Giorgio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Emporio Armani (including EA7), Armani jeans, Armani Junior, and Armani Exchange. The brand uses the association of the Armani name with high fashion, leveraging its performance in the fashion industry. In 2016, the company’s estimated sales were around $ 2.65 billion. In 2017, Giorgio Armani announced that his company would close two of its fashion labels, Armani Collezioni and Armani Jeans, as part of his company’s restructuring process. While Armani Collezioni will rejoin the “Giorgio Armani” line, Armani Jeans will be mixed with the Emporio Armani line due to the similarity of style and the use of the same brand logo.
Giorgio Armani is working with Emaar Properties, a chain of luxury hotels and resorts in several major cities including Milan, Paris, New York, London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, and Dubai. The company already operates various cafes throughout world, in addition to bars and nightclubs.

In 2016, the fashion house stopped using animal fur in all of its collections, citing the existence of “legitimate alternatives we can do that make the use of cruel practices unnecessary for animals.
According to the Wall Street Journal and other influential sources, in addition to the Armani Privé couture line, Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani are the company’s ready -to -wear lines on display at Milan fashion week. In addition, selling at lower prices are Armani Collezioni, Armani Exchange and Armani Jeans.
Emporio Armani
Emporio Armani on Yerevan’s North Avenue
Emporio Armani is the second brand of the Armani family, featuring a ready -made collection and runway. Emporio Armani focuses on modern trends and features. Also, Emporio Armani along with Giorgio Armani are the only two ready-made brands that are mostly designed by Giorgio Armani himself, and have a focus at Milan Fashion Week each year while Armani Collezioni, Armani Jeans, and Armani Exchange do not. Emporio Armani is usually only sold at the stand -alone Emporio Armani boutique and its official website.
David Beckham starred in four Emporio Armani lingerie campaigns from spring / summer 2008 to fall / winter 2009-2010. David Beckham appeared with his wife, former Spices Girls Victoria, in the campaign twice in 2009. All campaigns were photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
In January 2010, football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Hollywood movie star Megan Fox became the face and body of Emporio Armani’s men and women. In 2011, Megan Fox was replaced by Rihanna and Ronaldo was replaced by tennis athlete Rafael Nadal. Emporio Armani has partnered with Reebok to make fashion shoes under the EA7 label. In 2019, Emporio Armani launched a new series centered around singer, Shawn Mendes. The black and white ad featured a version of the song, "In My Blood".
Emporio Armani has boutiques in Toronto, Oslo, Frankfurt, Amman, Bahrain, Jeddah, Bogotá, Miami, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Madrid, Chicago, Paris, London, Glasgow, Los Angeles, Houston, Mexico City, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur , Milan, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Sydney, Dubai, Dhaka, Lima, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, New York, Sao Paulo, Vienna, New Delhi, and many other cities around the world.
What is Emporio Armani?
Emporio Armani is one of the other clothing lines mentioned above, which is under the Armani fashion label.
Emporio Armani is also a collection consisting of ready -made clothes and other products for men and women.
This clothing line is more focused on modern trends and elements. This stylish collection is aimed at young people, i.e. young adults or college adults. Emporio Armani’s target group is young customers, aged between 20 and 30 years.
Compared to Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani uses low quality materials in the production of its products.
This clothing line is also one of the cheapest clothing lines under Armani, given the fact that this collection is aimed at young adults, thus making it affordable for them.
However, this stylish collection is also only available at Emporio Armani stores and other boutiques that sell Giorgio Armani products. That is, people have limited locations to access this clothing range.
Emporio Armani also hosts a sub-brand called EA7, which is a shoe collection, in collaboration with Reebok.
What is Giorgio Armani?
Giorgio Armani is a famous and successful Italian fashion designer. He founded the company, sometimes called "Armani" or "Giorgio Armani", in 1975.
Armani is a fashion label that designs and produces their masterpieces and products with exceptional perfection and award.
They have proven their superiority in various fields like clothes, fragrances, watches, sunglasses, shoes, jewelery etc.
They are now one of the most famous and sought after fashion houses in the industry.
Along with various types of products, they also have different collections or lines of clothing, each unique with its own style, such as Armani Exchange, Armani Junior, Armani / Casa, Armani / Dolci, Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, etc. .
Giorgio Armani isn’t just the company’s founder’s name and alternative name; that’s also the name of the clothing line started by the label.
The Giorgio Armani clothing line is a ready -made collection for men and women. It includes clothing, accessories, fragrances and more.
Giorgio Armani is a line of luxury clothing meant for an upscale audience. That is, this is a collection intended for a group of wealthy people, ranging from 35 to 50 years old. The target group of this group is rich and very sophisticated.
This collection uses only high quality materials for its production, be it clothing or perfumes or other accessories.
This clothing line is also very expensive, given the target group it offers and the quality of materials used in the manufacture of its products.
Giorgio Armani products are usually only available at specialty designer stores or other Giorgio Armani boutiques. That is, people can buy from this clothing line only from certain specialty locations and stores.

Our Favourite Lip Colours Inspired By The Runway

It’s time to turn to the darker side of the palette. Well, almost.
In the beauty side of things, seasons don’t mean weather, seasons mean colour. Pastels for spring pale and whites for summer, deep, dark hues for fall and winter and rich, vibrant colours for the dreary monsoons. It’s true for lip colours as it is for clothing. Before you go binge buying for lipsticks, take a cue from the runway trends that have taken a surprising turn this season. This festive season, you’ll find nudes and pinks sitting on the shelves alongside the traditional oxblood, plums and reds.
We have been keeping an eye on the International runways, for trending lipstick shades around the fashion meccas of the world. Take note.
Nudes Natural pouts ruled the runways of India Couture Week 2018 in New Delhi. Falguni & Shane Peacock, Shyamal Bhumika, Reynu Taandon, Tarun Tahiliani, Anju Modi, all ODed on nude lip colour, with soft, barely-there tints of pink and orange, topped with sheer gloss. If there is one lip trend you follow this season, this is it. Nude, glossy lips transition seamlessly from day tonight.
Burgundy Wine coloured lips are a head-turner. A universally flattering shade for all skin tones, burgundy lips exude oomph, class and power. Shilpa Shetty, walking as the showstopper at Amit Aggarwal’s show, wearing burgundy on the lips in an asymmetrical contemporary sari had us swooning.
Fuchsia Fuchsia is the magic colour that brightens and suits most Indian skin tones. The lovely Kiara Advani at Shyamal Bhumika’s show walked out with a pout in a punchy pink, as did the models at Dolce and Gabbana’s show. This peppy colour along with magenta is a reliable, and tested option in the pink palette. Embrace vivid, vibrant, solid, and even soft pinks, we’d say, especially for the upcoming season.
Burnt sienna Not pop orange. Think burnt orange. Rusty orange lips, seen at Rahul Mishra, complement most warm skin tones. Dab a little sheer gloss on the centre of the lips, and peach blush on the cheeks, to banish away winter blues. This colour is earthy and near-natural.
Scarlet red While the blood-red lip is a true classic, makeup artists seemed tired of it this time on the runways. Remember Priyanka Chopra in her ravishing red sari and matching lips posing with Nick Jonas at the pre-engagement party of Akash Ambani? Make way for the vibrant and cool scarlet to take centre-stage. It is definitely the more enigmatic, subtle-sexy cousin of the classic red. This hue has warm, orange undertones, and looks stunning on olive-skinned girls. Keep the eyes extremely minimal when wearing brick red on the mouth.
Plum Berry stained lips make for a luxurious, yet sophisticated statement. Muted-grape shades worn in opaque look good with defined eyebrows and glowing, dewy skin. Deep, rich plum looks amazing on darker skin tones, and a bright plum, on fairer complexions.

There’s room for drama: designer Amit Aggarwal makes a case for his textured futuristic gowns
New Post has been published on https://apzweb.com/theres-room-for-drama-designer-amit-aggarwal-makes-a-case-for-his-textured-futuristic-gowns/
There’s room for drama: designer Amit Aggarwal makes a case for his textured futuristic gowns
The bride is in a gold Amit Aggarwal dress made entirely by embroidering polymer strips on tulle, with a moulded bodice in sequin and bugle bead embroidery. This is on an episode of Amazon Prime Video’s April drop, Four More Shots Please! At a time when fashion editors and designers are having conversations about the need for minimalism, what with weddings being downsized by Covid-19, one wonders if there is room for Aggarwal’s exquisite brand of sartorial drama. The designer says ‘yes’. “The entire language of weddings is going to change with social distancing as the norm. But it won’t change how the bride and groom want to look and feel,” he insists.
We are on a phone call where Aggarwal, 39, recalls his solo grand finale (his first) at Lakme Fashion Week in February. It featured the highly engineered occasion-wear he is known for, with recycled polymers and industrial waste as embellishments. The sculptural element was in tune with what was also seen at the Paris Fashion Week spring/summer 2020 shows. “We had the collection at the store in the first week of March. We were swamped with bookings and orders and client appointments,” says Aggarwal. A week before lockdown he made the decision to shut his store and factory, referring to the safety of his clients and his 300-strong workforce.
Moving sculptures
Since then he has put his retail expansion plans on hold, focussing instead on the sustainable aesthetic of his label. “The language is not going to significantly change. This situation gives us more reason to make it relevant,” says the designer whose 18 years in fashion includes working with couturier Tarun Tahiliani. The plan is to edit, not add. “We have always spoken about the coexistence of natural and manmade. We are going to control all our purchases, with no imported fabrics. The first step is to work with our existing resources.” Taking pointers from his lifestyle over the last month – he shares his preference for dal chawal and says washing utensils can be therapeutic! – he hopes to implement this simplicity at work post lockdown. Excess fabrics will go into creating “something new and fresh, an interesting story for clients”.
Stylist’s take
Elle’s fashion director Malini Banerji, who helped style Amit Aggarwal’s Axil collection for both the editorial and runway, says confidence is key to the collection.
“You will need to edit and see how it works for you. People around the bride will need to wear something dramatic for the evening, and the pre-draped saris are modern. They can be styled in so many ways. At the end of the day, you want to look like you made an effort. And with a ‘make or break’ outfit, you don’t need to load up on jewellery.”
Like his fellow designers, Aggarwal has been utilising this time to “look inwards”, through sketches and poems that are often showcased on the brand’s Instagram page. “They are drawings that don’t have a purpose. Otherwise 90% of my sketches are about a collection or facilitating a client’s request,” he says. Last month, he shared a sketch of “man fornicating with nature” with the digital magazine, Voice of Fashion. It was accompanied by verse. “After an apocalypse, there is a ray of hope. I don’t want to enter the dark side. This is a time when you can build a new fantastical world around you,” he says.

Working with separates
He refers to how thoughtful brands have been instilling hope, some of his favourites being the initiatives by luxury houses Valentino and Alexander McQueen, where poetry and creativity play a role. While we speak, he alerts me to a parrot that has just visited his balcony – a first for him in his South Delhi house. “This pause or lockdown has shown that multiple dimensions can exist together beautifully,” he says.
Big brand theory
Each week on Instagram, Alexander McQueen announces a creative challenge to artists. This week, followers have been asked to experiment with embroidery, and take inspiration from the brand’s bee dresses from 2013. Meanwhile, Valentino’s Instagram feed has seen performances by Alicia Keys and poet Rupi Kaur.
As for his collections, from the new age saris with plisse details to the geometric blouses with wings, he says multiple wearability is key. “Our clothes are occasion wear and worn by brides. But if you are going for an opulent blouse, make your skirt simpler so you can wear it later with a jacket for a pared-down look.” It helps that the dresses do not come with an under layer and are thus light. “That is an important decision we made early on. It feels like couture but can be stored in a tiny box,” promises Aggarwal.
Saris start at ₹70,000 and the gowns start at around ₹1.5 lakh.

5 Things to Know About Sabyasachi, the Indian Designer Behind the Latest H&M Collab
After recent collaborations with Italian couturier Giambattista Valli, Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz, and Canada-born, England-based designer Erdem Moralioglu, H&M has announced a new first: a collaboration with an Indian designer.
16 years after the inaugural high fashion team-up with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004, the Swedish brand has tapped one of India’s most prominent and successful designers, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, for a first-of-its-kind project.
“I am happy to announce the collaboration with H&M as it allows us the opportunity to share the Sabyasachi aesthetic to a wider audience in India and worldwide,” the designer told Vogue India. “Having done couture for the majority of my career, it is very exciting to bring that finesse and craft to ‘ready-to-wear’ and to create whimsical and fluid silhouettes that bring relaxed sophistication to everyday life.”

His collection for H&M includes printed dresses, blouses and saris, and will be available in-store and online globally on April 16. Read on for five things to know about the designer, whose deft contemporary use of traditional Indian textiles and crafts has made him a household name in his native country.
1. He is Bollywood’s most in-demand designer Mukherjee, who is based in Kolkata, West Bengal (a state in Western India), recently celebrated 20 years in the fashion industry. Over the course of two decades, he has dressed some of Bollywood’s biggest superstars for everything from red carpet appearances to film shoots to personal engagements, and has also designed costumes for several Hindi films. As one of the most prominent weddingwear designers in the country, he’s also the couturier of choice for many high-profile Indian weddings. In 2018, he designed both Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s outfits for their Hindu wedding ceremony, and has also created the wedding ensembles for other Bollywood A-listers such as Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma.

Priyanka Chopra @priyankachopra makes for a stunning bride in a custom red Sabyasachi lehenga. Hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon layer of threadwork embroidery creates this piece of impossible couture. 110 embroiderers from Calcutta, India took 3720 hours to create this modern masterpiece. As an ode to the resplendence of Mughal jewellery, her wedding jewellery was crafted with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold and had delicate tiny stars in uncut diamonds to give a sense of whimsy to an important traditional piece. Nick Jonas @nickjonas wears a hand-quilted silk sherwani with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa. 2. He has presented his collections at several international fashion weeks Known for old-world, ornate designs that take countless man hours to produce, Mukherjee’s work has earned accolades from both Indian and international organizations. Over the course of his career, he has presented his work at several global fashion weeks. He was the first Indian designer to showcase a collection in Milan, in 2004, and has since presented his line at New York, London and Miami Fashion Weeks. In India, he regularly presents his work at both Lakme Fashion Week (in Mumbai) and Lotus India Fashion Week (in Delhi), where his shows—bursting with designs rich in texture, colour and craftsmanship—are some of the most anticipated on the schedule.

3. He has collaborated with Christian Louboutin on multiple occasions Legendary footwear designer Christian Louboutin bumped into Mukherjee at his Mumbai store several years ago and has worked with the designer numerous times since then, creating men’s and women’s shoes inspired by the designer’s rich visual imagery. Featuring studs, spikes and Indian embroidery and textiles, the shoes are a reflection both of Louboutin’s and Mukherjee’s distinct styles. The two have since expanded the collaboration to include handbags crafted out of silk, velvet, brocade and sequins.

4. He has done a homeware line with Pottery Barn Back in 2016, Mukherjee made his first foray into the world of homeware with an exclusive collection for Pottery Barn. A series of vibrantly printed plates, platters and trays formed the crux of his kitchen collection for the brand, while colourful bedding, luxurious rugs and embroidered cushions rounded out the rest of the home decor line.

5. He’s opening a flagship store in New York So far, not much is known about the store except that it’s set to open in September 2020. But that’s not the only New York association the Indian heritage brand is looking forward to this year. Sabyasachi’s line of handcrafted fine jewellery will also be available for purchase at a “selling exhibition” at Manhattan’s Bergdorf Goodman department store between January and March 2020.
