Gahum sa Buwak "Flower Power" is an event that celebrates the contributions of women artists and fashion designers in the province of the Davao region... This year's event, which was held at Estancia Mall in Pasig City, featured a wide array of artworks by local artists and fashion designers. It was organized by the Dabawenyo Artists Federation Inc. art group Floral Artists of Davao. The event showcased the talent and creativity of women artists from Davao and served as a platform for them to share their art with the rest of the country. It was a great opportunity for me, especially the public, to see the diversity of Davao's art scene and to learn more about the culture and history of the region. The celebration was a huge success, and special guests included Vice Mayor Jaworski Jr. of Pasig City and Madam Sarah Duterte, our beloved Vice President of the Philippines. Also, I would like to exhort everyone to acknowledge and honour the accomplishments of women artists in the Philippines by visiting the art galleries and joining the different fun activities. The art show or gallery exhibit is open from March 1 to 31, 2023... Translation (source 1, source 2)
I'm calling you
I take your hand and hold it tightly
I kiss the ground beneath your feet
And say, "I'd die* for you"
I dedicated to you the light of my eyes
And I give you the warmth of my heart
For this pain that I suffer,
Is only a small part of your pain.
I've carried my blood on my hands and never half-masted my flags
And I've preserved the green grass on the graves of my ancestors
I have not become worthless in my country
Nor have I shrunk in fear
I stood in the face of my oppressors
A naked, barefoot orphan
*the word fada "فدى" is a verb that means to "redeem", but in this context it has the meaning that he would die for them, because this word has the connotation of sacrificing yourself for someone else. Jesus Christ "the Redeemer" is sometimes call فادي in English, for example
"One of the most powerful songs about Palestine, perhaps ever, is Unadikum. Sometimes called Onadikum, the poem-turned-song was written by the Palestinian politician, author and resistance poet, Tawfiq Ziad."

For her new book "Monaco", Dafy Hagai finds inspiration and comfort in the provincial glam and fantasy of the local shopping mall in Israel. Using motifs from her favourite childhood hangout, she examines the relationship between femininity, individuality, consumerism and feelings. Lensed through her experiences and specific style, as a photographer working in the luxury fashion industry.
Israeli photographer Dafy Hagai (based in London) has made a name for her playful, sexually curious images of young women amidst a uniquely Middle Eastern geographic, cultural and architectural paradigm.
All images were shot between 2019-2021

What's your thoughts on the clampett vs jones daffy discourse happening on looneytwt right now
if my previous reblogs weren't enough to convey hjkfd I feel like pitting these two aspects of daffy as distinct personalities fail to recognize they embody him as a whole. daffy has always been greedy and opportunistic. he's also always been insane and a great foil. he's always, always lived up to his name.
besides like... the "jonesian" part of himself is a natural evolution to his "clampett" character, in a meta sense. the darker aspects of his personality was a response to him no longer being the no.1 looney tune, plus like, budget cuts. so his signature sharp, gooey, unpredictable movements (think Piggy Bank Robbery) had to be sacrificed.
What I'd focus on, is comparing and choosing what clampett and jones prioritized for comedy. bc jones is all abt story and relationships, dialogue, deliberate expressions (which meant more pauses so the audience can reaalllyy take in how characters are feeling) meanwhile clampett is high energy, constant movement, a rhythm that transform the dialogue into something lyrical. THAT'S what I think ppl should be doin the "either or" bc they're both respectable yet VASTLY different approaches to comedy. And I absolutely love that daffy was able to shine in both.

i've been thinking about my inquisition rewrite that i'm working on and i've come to the conclusion that having cassandra and cullen in the same game is just.... wasteful from a cohesive narrative standpoint unless you make one of them evil/an antagonist, either by having cullen take samson's place or committing cassandra's character to the whole kidnapping and right hand of the divine thing.
otherwise it's just... they serve the exact same purpose narratively (devoted chantry soldier who, at the time unknowingly, suffered harm at the hands of the chantry and has to recognize the harm the chantry committed, and that they helped the chantry commit, who must decide whether to commit to helping the organization they were apart of or to leave them completely)
anyway i think that's why they both bore me so much in inquisition, even more than aveline (who is many things, but i would not call her boring exactly) just because realistically they should have focused on one or the other and splitting their focus weakened them and the narrative as a whole.

he  blinks,  eyes  narrowing  a  bit  at  the  gesture  —  though  in  the  absence  of  any  real  VENOM,  the  wanderer’s  glare  would  be  better  described  as  a  pout.  he  may  be  feeling  a  bit  (  disgustingly  )  sentimental.  it’s  but  a  temporary  stroke  of  madness,  spurred  on  by  the  shining  anemo  vision  displayed  proudly  upon  his  chest.
he  owes  the  gods  nothing.  he  expects  nothing.  (  so  why  can’t  he  shake  this  stubborn gratitude?  )
