Building a Strong Foundation: Selecting the Right Minecraft Server Hosting Service
When it comes to hosting a Minecraft server, choosing the right hosting service is crucial for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience. The hosting service you select plays a significant role in the stability, performance, and security of your server. With a plethora of hosting providers available, it can be overwhelming to make the right choice. In this article, we will guide you through the process of selecting the right Minecraft server hosting service, helping you build a strong foundation for your Minecraft community. Understand Your Hosting Needs Before diving into the selection process, it's essential to assess your hosting needs. Consider factors such as the number of players you expect, the desired server performance, the availability of support, and any specific requirements you may have. Understanding your hosting needs will help you narrow down your options and choose a service that aligns with your requirements. Server Specifications and Performance The performance of your Minecraft server relies heavily on the hardware specifications provided by the hosting service. Look for hosting providers that offer sufficient resources, including CPU power, RAM, and storage, to support your expected player base and the server mods or plugins you plan to use. Ensure the hosting service can handle the expected traffic without lag or downtime. Server Locations and Latency The location of the hosting servers is crucial for minimizing latency and ensuring a smooth gameplay experience for players. Choose a hosting service that offers server locations closest to your target audience. This reduces the network distance and lowers latency, resulting in improved responsiveness and reduced lag for players. Uptime and Reliability A reliable hosting service should provide a high level of uptime, ensuring that your server remains accessible to players around the clock. Look for hosting providers that guarantee a minimum uptime percentage, preferably 99% or higher. Additionally, read reviews and check the reputation of the hosting service to ensure they deliver on their uptime promises. Scalability and Growth Potential Consider the scalability and growth potential offered by the hosting service. As your Minecraft community expands, you may need additional resources or the ability to upgrade to a higher-tier hosting plan. Choose a hosting provider that allows easy scalability, providing flexibility as your server and player base grow. Customer Support and Assistance Reliable and responsive customer support is vital when running a Minecraft server. Look for hosting providers that offer 24/7 customer support through various channels such as live chat, email, or phone. Test their responsiveness before committing to a hosting service to ensure they can assist you promptly when needed. Security and DDoS Protection Minecraft servers can be vulnerable to security threats and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Ensure that the hosting service provides robust security measures, such as firewalls, encryption, and DDoS protection, to safeguard your server and player data. Pricing and Value for Money Consider the pricing structure and value for money offered by the hosting service. Compare prices, features, and customer reviews to find a balance between affordability and quality. Look for hosting providers that offer transparent pricing, without hidden costs or excessive charges for additional features. Reputation and Reviews Research the reputation and reviews of the hosting service before making a decision. Read testimonials and seek recommendations from other Minecraft server owners to gain insights into the hosting provider's reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction. Additional Features and Tools Consider any additional features or tools provided by the hosting service that can enhance your Minecraft server experience. These may include easy-to-use control panels, one-click mod installations, server backups, and server management tools. By carefully evaluating these factors, you can select the right Minecraft server hosting service that suits your needs, provides a stable and reliable server environment, and lays a strong foundation for your Minecraft community. Minecraft Festival is Postponed Due To Coronavirus Fears
Minecraft is such a cult phenomenon that it was planned to have its own convention of three days in September with interactive exhibits co-op and competitive gaming, live entertainment, panels and merchandise. Tickets to the first Minecraft Festival in Orlando were set to go on sale this week. ReedPop, which also organizes New York Comic Con (NYC) and San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) announced that the event was postponed for a full year due to the coronavirus epidemic. Even though the event was months away and the outbreak is likely to be resolved by then the producers, partners, and exhibitors have encountered issues when it comes to planning the event and making sure the attendees have a good time.
Fans won't have to be a part of Minecraft Live, though. The live streaming event will continue as planned, and will showcase the most recent Minecraft news as well as behind-the-scenes look at the future developments.
With so many conventions and events being cancelled or delayed due to coronavirus concerns, this news isn't really a shock. deepspaceii However, it seems odd that ReedPop and Mojang Minecraft, the developer of Minecraft -- announced the convention less than one week ago, and COVID-19 was on the radar. It was a smart move to cancel the event before tickets went on-sale and people had made travel arrangements. This saved many headaches.

7 Minecraft Treehouse Ideas for your Next Build - IGN
Treehouses in Minecraft are a fantastic way of incorporating interesting and unique designs into your home. If you're just beginning your journey and are looking for more unique home designs to draw inspiration from or you're an expert in Minecraft but want to think outside the box, we've got some ideas and tips for you.
This list is focused on treehouses, but if you're looking for other house types We've got 8 Top House Minecraft Ideas to start!
Minecraft Treehouses
There are two things to consider while browsing through our top treehouse design concepts:
- In order to dictate the size of your treehouse, it'll depend if you're working on your primary hub or an addition to an existing build. In addition the biome you select to build in will determine the amount to which you can utilize naturally generated trees versus trees that you artificially create yourself.
We've put together a list of the best Minecraft treehouse ideas, from simple starter houses to more complex designs and even challenging builds.
1. Simple Treehouse
If you're having trouble figuring out how to build a treehouse using Minecraft, just go basic to start. Find a tree with a decent height (a nice view from the top is an added benefit) and then attach an uninspiring four-walled structure to it. It doesn't matter if it is attached to the tree or is placed on the ground in close proximity.
Simple Treehouse in Minecraft
As you progress in the game, you can expand the tree up and down. This is a great way to start if you're new to Minecraft and building this type of house.
2. Jungle Treehouse
It makes sense to construct an high-rise structure in the biome with the tallest trees. The abundance of tightly packed tall trees and hanging vines provide an easy way to connect numerous small structures.
How to Easily Build a Jungle Tree House via Mr Mirror:

Not only are the vines that grace a number of the trees in Jungle biomes function as a natural ladder however, you can also set them on the leaves all the way around the tree you've built on to create a natural camouflage or cover.
Jungle Treehouse in Minecraft
If you're in a multiplayer world with your friends, this can be a fun, and accomplishable project, with each house creating a lovely Ewok-style village as the final result! Deepspaceii.com
3. Leaf House
You can't get your house to look right when it's clinging to the tree. Instead of trying to squeeze your home inside a box, place your home's base in the leaves of a tree. Using Shears to gather leaves from surrounding trees You can make an encircling of leaves over the ones that naturally grow by the trees.
Inside of the Leaf House in Minecraft
Though this may limit your decorating options and design, it could be the most effective method to make your home blend into the surroundings.
Outside of a Leaf House in Minecraft
Tip: Change your graphic settings to Fancy to Fast so that the leaves are no longer translucent. This will make any buildup underneath the leaves completely invisible.
4. Literal Tree House
Literal Tree House in Minecraft
You can take your creativity to the next level by building your own tree. While it isn't the most efficient with regards to resource use, it can be a fun build to try and make sure that it replicates the shape and looks of a tree, although it is slightly bigger and wider than its brethren.
5. Nether Tree House
With the Nether growing forests as of late it is possible to take advantage of the new leafy real estate to build an up-high home in the lower levels. Using blocks that are exclusive to the Nether, like Crimson Blocks and Netherrack can help your build feel more at home in its surroundings, but also could result in losing it as it blends into with the surrounding.
Nether Tree House in Minecraft
There are many dangers in the Nether. If you have enough Obsidian It could be beneficial to construct your house (or at least the outer shell) using it. That way, any Ghast fireballs that come close to your home damage will be drastically diminished.
6. Tree Root House
Do you want to be a little unconventional? Explore the underground using Stripped Logs, and build the tree roots. You can hang a home by using the roots to hang it from the ceiling of the cave.
Tree Root House in Minecraft
Incorporate some Pointed Dripstone, Spore Blossom and Glow Lichen to give it an organic, overgrown appearance and your home's underground oasis will be complete.
7. Bonus: Create a Tree House to support every kind of Tree
You can also create your own tree house to fit any Minecraft tree type if you're up to it. We're talking about all of them: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Dark Oak and Jungle!

Visualizing Statistics In Minecraft
The data on spending by the public sector is often difficult to comprehend and make comparisons. Tables are often used to present statistics on government. In this hack I have utilized open data from Eurostat (the EU statistics agency) on government expenditures for a set of countries and rendered boxes in the Minecraft world. This allows you to study the data by walking (flying) across the globe.
Boxes to store expenditure data are ordered as General public services, Defence, Public order and safety Economic affairs, Environment protection Housing and community amenities Health, Recreation, Culture and religion Education, Social security.
1. (top) Cows eating grass in the vicinity of the UK's budget for "Housing and community amenities". deep space ii
2. Player is standing in front of the expenditure of the government for Malta and looking at Germany:
3. Overview of Germany, France and the UK:
Future plans include making budget deficits appear like holes in the ground, and making it possible for people to enter boxes to see subdivisions. I believe that data for Greece should be rendered as lava.

Minecraft Snapshot 20w14a
Even though we've added every update we could think of to Minecraft we thought it would be a good idea to pick up the Nether Update snapshots from where we left off. This snapshot introduces the Zoglins!
New Features in 20w14a
- Hoglins that somehow end up in the overworld become Zoglins quite quickly. But who could ever bring a Hoglin to the Overworld? Compasses are now enthralled by Curse of Vanishing
Zoglins
Zoglins can be described as zombified Hoglins. deep space ii They are created by bringing the Hoglin to the Overworld.
Changes in 20w14a
The background of the main menu is now available in the Nether. The general statistics list has been sorted alphabetically. Strider balancing
Strider Balancing
- Strider speed when mounted has been significantly increased to more closely match speed of boats. - Warped Fucus on Sticks Stick now has a maximum of 100 damage per item, and it only takes 1 damage for each Strider consumed. The boost is ideal for navigating the lavas when Warped Fungus is mounted on the Stick with Striders.
Technical Changes in 20w14a
The compass now contains LodestonePos, LodestoneDimension and LodestoneTracked data fields. If LodestoneTracked is zero the game will not check for any Lodestone at the specified location. - Game registry now includes characteristics that are similar to sound events and items. To improve reliability regions files are now open in the synchronous mode.
Game registry has been updated to include attributes. This means that there are very few changes.
