Maidaan Box Office: Ajay Devgn starrer is the 7th highest first week grosser of 2024

Filmmaker Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s Maidaan, which stars Ajay Devgn in the lead, is based on the golden period of Indian football in the early 1950s and it focuses on the celebrated Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. It became a rare movie to get high acclaim from critics and audience alike. Shah Rukh Khan is a wonderful person, says Gajraj Rao and Manisha Koirala

Shah Rukh Khan has taken the identity of an action hero after the success of his recent release Pathaan. However, as per the actor, he had always wanted to be an action hero right from the start. Gajraj Rao, a co-star with Shah Rukh in one of his superhit movies Dil Se, recalled in a recent interview an incident that happened while shooting a small action scene in the movie.

Gajraj said Shah Rukh always wants action to be as realistic as possible. Exploring the time back in 1999, Gajraj said “There was a scene where my character captures his character and I was supposed to push him against the wall. We did the rehearsal and I pushed him hard. After the rehearsal, Mani sir came and said ‘just take care, you don’t have to push him so hard.’ He said so because he thought Shah Rukh is a big star and we shouldn’t push him so hard.”

He also shared how Shah Rukh reacted to this and said, “The moment Mani sir left, Shah Rukh said ‘no, no, Gajraj, do the same thing’.”

Gajraj quoted Shah Rukh as a charmer and a beautiful man and said that Shah Rukh has a way of making everyone feel like a part of him.

Manisha Koirala also shared an anecdote from the same film during a separate interview. She said that Shah Rukh, despite being a superstar, has always been very grounded. Shah Rukh always had tea while sitting on the floor with everyone else.
