End of Aug Start Sept 2023

Ongoing Series - Thai

Laws of Attraction (Sat iQIYI) 8fin - Oh the DRAMA. Why does the insane ex (my true love) remind me of the cartel leader from Romancing the Stone? Even the sides got HEA! It was fucking great!!!!! Charn remains a bonkers spoiled evil murderous brat with a cruel smile beloved by his one true paladin. Also: post it love note trope! Been a long while my old friend. NO SINGING!!!!! In conclusion: This is a great gay suspense thriller with several solid couples, fun plot, killer characters, queer rep, and a happy ending. Charn may be my favorite lead character of 2023. However, this show is not entirely BL, more on the fringe, like Manner of Death. Add that to several "singing incidents" and pairs being a little weak in the chemistry arena, and this lands safely in 9/10 territory. It’s tons of fun tho: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I Feel You Linger in the Air (Sat grey) ep 3 of 12 - This show is getting more and more lakorn each ep. Apparently the straights are having a class divide arranged marriage crisis. Who cares? I have to say, the pacing is great in the show. And the acting is on point. It’s really great.

Love in Translation (Sat iQIYI) ep 3 of 10 - I skip everything to do with Tammy and it’s fine. There’s only about 20 minutes of fine but that’s more than enough. On the bright side. So far. No singing.

My Universe (Sun iQIYI) ep 2 of 24 eps - Cassanova Begins Part 2. Aw. It was sad. Another variation on the “my ghost boyfriend” trope (usually sad). 2/10 I don't do sad BL.

Next up is Merry Go Round featuring the pair from Destiny Seeker (we likey) who want to marry each other, but end up fake engaged to the same woman. Beard squared? Looks silly.

But since this is a short form KBL and I know it will be resolved quickly, I’m not as annoyed as I would be if this were Thai BL. Still it feels audience manipulative. I also feel sorry for Simon. BUT it looks like it’ll be a sweet boyfriends final episode.

Highly rewatchable and enjoyable for that sappy domesticity but not a whole lot more. Still I always give extra credit for the diabetes-inducing sugar content and rewatch capacity. 8/10

Kisseki: Dear to Me (Taiwan Tues Viki & iQIYI) eps 3 of 13(?) - I love the punching thing - there is a lot of violent flirting in this show. I’m not mad about it. Ugh, poor thing has real abandonment issues. And now trust issues. I see why we’re getting 12-14 eps. This gonna be MESSY.

Meanwhile, does EVERYONE have a guest cameo? Not that I’m complaining. Hi BLIHID boys! Now I need to rewatch that show.

Love Class Season 2 (Korea Fri Viki) eps 7-8 of 10 - Oh my God the next morning w/ couple 2 was so darn cute. They are all such terrible flirts with each other. Honestly, this show makes me laugh more than any other BL currently airing. I’m not sure it is meant to be as funny as I find it. While couple 3 (the mature characters) is by far my favorite, I actually think they don’t work with the other two pairs, they feel superfluous to the show. I like the show better because they’re in it, but it feels like two different BL‘s stuck together. KBL certainly can’t handle more than two couple threads at the same time.

Why R U? (Korea Wed iQIYI) eps 3-4 of 8 - Ugh. I am such a sucker for the FighterTutor dynamic. Why so good? Uh oh. Real kiss! KBL you're spoiling us. But, isn’t sad-seme-hyung dating some chick? Argh. Poor Sunwoo. This show is even worse at repping Fighter's character sympathetically. Who knew that was possible?

My Personal Weatherman AKA Taikan Yoho (Japan Sat Gaga) ep 3 of 8 - The date episode! Even Japan is doing it now. And these two who have been living/fucking together for ages still dance around each other like junior high kids. I gotta say, I watch this one twice because Vicki has different subs from Gaga. I feel like it’s easier to understand if I watch two different translations of the same script. But it’s still quite a taciturn piece.

Minato's Laundromat Season 2 AKA Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 (Japan Thu Gaga) ep 8 of 12 - Sides are great. It was mostly a cute ep with tiny bits of Progress and a proper Confession. I miss Shin’s siblings. And then… the much loathed amnesia trope. Really?

Stay Still (Hong Kong Tues YouTube) ep 5fin - It ended happier than I was expecting. Optimistic for one couple, and most likely optimistic for the other.

Summation: What to say about this offering from Hong Kong? It’s different, a mix of early CBL, Taiwanese shorts, and Pinoy visuals. It felt like the story was 2 independent shorts that had been lengthen and then stuck together, and I wish they'd been approached as separate and tighter entities. Nevertheless, this was a complex little piece, interesting in a sweaty grungy way, with a certain aura of queer authenticity that made it simultaneously tense, unpredictable, and refreshing. I’m not sure I would necessarily call it BL, but any county’s early foray into the genre usually starts out this way, so perhaps nascent BL? Worth watching, especially if you enjoy stuff from the Philippines and Taiwan. 7/10

In case you missed it

Dinosaur Love ended its run but the final 2 eps are behind a paywall. Word on the street is they aren't good anyway (shocker) so I'm marking it as DNF and moving on with my life. If I can find em grey I'll watch 'em merely so I can give it a rating, but I can't imagine it will get more than 5/10. Seriously, do not bother.

Being Serval’s friend is..interesting.

You had to deal with her antics while you were vibing in the background while wondering how you have a beautiful yet chaotic friend like Serval. You are the ambivert, meaning depending on the person and situation you are in. You are either an extrovert or introvert towards people.You meet Serval in the concert of your favorite band as you two get along quickly. Serval is mostly protective of you due to your introverted side..even though you had to stop her from getting into fights, you are still grateful for her. Now that is the little backstory of how you and Serval meet. Let’s go to how you and Gepard meet.

Few months ago, you were staying late in the library, studying for a test of your hated subject but due to how late it is. You had decided to end studying for now and go to your dorm where you had shared with Serval but there are two tiny problems. You had left your dorm keys in your room and it is raining really hard today. “Can’t this get any worse?” You mumbled to yourself while staring at the rain with a disappointed look on your face.

“Excuse me, sir/ma’am? Do you need any help?” A princely like male voice called out as you turn to look at the source of the voice and you have met the most attractive man you have ever caught sight of. A tall man with blond short hair along with the most beautiful blue eyes that you can get lost in. “Um..excuse me?” The male asked, snapping you out of your trance. “Oh! Umm. Yes?” You ask the beautiful man as he looks so gentlemanly but he has the same blue eyes and blonde hair like Serval. “Wait..do you know Serval Landau?” You asked the man who perked up at the mention of his older sister. “Yes. She is my older sister. Are you (name)?” When you nodded your head, the male chuckled lightly. “Serval told me about you a lot. How you are an ambivert and how you get used to her antics so well. I apologize if she gets too chaotic. She is always so carefree. Oh. I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Gepard Landau, the younger brother of your friend, Serval. It is a pleasure to finally meet you.” Gepard spoke with a soft smile on his face while you replied back with a likewise.

This is the start of a friendship between you and Gepard. You are in a creative major while Gepard is a law major but that has not stopped you two from getting along thus making Serval proud of her little brother and friend get along. Serval teased you two at everything you and Gepard did in a playful way. You both tried to deny it but the flustered expression and stutters you two make says otherwise.

Gepard has fallen in love with you like..he falls harder in love. Everything about you makes his heart race. The way you furrow your eyebrows when you see something unnecessary, how you avoid eye contact when you receive compliments and don’t get him started on when you see a cute item and you give him these big puppy dog eyes. You are going to be the death of him. You will not leave his mind thus causing him to get distracted in class. Serval later told him that you have been through a tough break up with your previous lover. Gepard was of course upset at the news but he was determined to prove to you that he will not be like that guy. You noticed how he always waits outside of your class and walks you to your dorm. He even texts you about your day(Serval gives him your phone number because you are too shy to do it). How he respects your boundaries and gives you space when you need it.

You were in your bedroom in your dorm, looking at the texts you and Gepard shared while thinking about his actions. “Gepard..he is so respectful..unlike..” You stopped in the middle of your sentence when you remembered your previous relationship. It was terrible in every way. The cheating, the miscommunication, the red flags are there..standing in plain view. It took Serval 3 weeks to open your eyes to the problems in that old relationship. The break up was even harsher and you were in grief and denial. Serval and a few of your friends are there with you but Serval had to hold back her urge to beat that guy up since..it is not worth it.

Honestly, you forget how long it takes you to move on from that awful relationship but..you made it through. You start to think about Gepard and his adorable actions. How he gets flustered whenever anyone compliments him, how Serval talks to you about his embarrassing moments in childhood while Gepard is trying to stop her, how he is the gentleman that every girl wants. You felt a smile crept up as you giggled to yourself, mumbling. “I am so in love with him. Will he accept it though?” You look out of the window to see the beautiful night sky, closing your eyes. “Only time will tell.”

Meanwhile Gepard is sitting with Serval in his own dorm since he summoned Serval to his dorm, wanting to have a private talk with her. “Gepard? Why do you call me in your dorm?” Serval asks Gepard with a suspicious look on her face. “And why do you want me here alone? You sometimes want a private talk unless it's..something.” She trails off, looking at Gepard who is sitting on the couch. “No way..You have a crush on (name)?” She gasped when she watch Gepard’s cheeks turn a faint pink. “Oh. my. God! You do have a crush on them! I knew it!” Serval laughs while Gepard grumbles underneath this breath.

“Yes..I have a crush on them.” He started. “And I want to ask them out on a date. Do I have your permission to date them?” He glanced up to see his eldest sister with a warm smile on her face. “Little brother. You do not have to ask for my permission to ask them out. Seeing you..being so respectful of their boundaries while checking up on them. It makes me proud..knowing that you will treat them like royalty.” This makes Gepard feel relief knowing how Serval is protective of you yet watching out for you. “I promise that I will treat them with the love and affection that they unfortunately did not receive from that ex. In my eyes, they are my world and my king/queen.” Gepard told Serval who smiled warmly at her little brother. “They are free this Saturday. Their favorite place to relax is that little park where ambiverts like them go. Go get them, little bro and Do not worry. It is a Thursday. You have plenty of time to ask them out.”

After Serval left his dorm, Gepard felt anxious for many reasons but the main one is you rejecting him. You never show it but your body language reveals more words that is what Gepard noticed. You never speak unless spoken too and that is on the last of what Gepard loves about you. Gepard takes a deep breath as he starts to prepare to ask his crush out on Saturday and what do you know? Time passed by as it was already Saturday.

“Serval..why do you want me to dress pretty?” You ask Serval while wearing a comfortable yet warm outfit that fits your style. “Well we are in the middle of fall and the weather is getting colder. I don’t want my adorable bestie to be outside without being prepared.” Serval cooed as you playfully groaned at this, knowing very well how Serval liked to baby you. “Okay Okay. I got the dorm keys and my phone. I will let you know if anything happens, Serv.” You told Serval while Serval bid you farewell as you leave to go to the park when the introverts and ambiverts like you hang out after a long exhausting week as a college student.

You noticed Gepard sitting on the bench underneath the tree. “Gepard? What are you doing here?” You asked Gepard as you stroll up towards him. “Ah. (Name). I was just admiring the park. I can see why you love this place so much.” The male spoke as you agreed with him. You noticed his outfit is comfy yet warm. The weather is getting colder, which you understand. “You..want to sit down and chat?” Gepard looks at you with soft blue eyes. Those blue eyes will be your demise since you found yourself lost in them. “Of course.” You sit next to him, starting a conversation with Gepard. You both have chaotic classmates and friends while laughing at the embarrassing scenes you two were forced to witness. After a while, you two are just staring at the sky together. “You know Gepard.” You start to speak, catching said male’s attention. “I always thought..I will be forever alone..where everyone will have their lovers while I was standing in the background..feeling sad yet happy for them. Until I meet you..you make the world seem more lively than usual. I feel like..I can be happy for once without feeling the need to hide it. I..don’t want to lose you.”

There is silence coming from Gepard until he gently grabs your chin between his fingers, making you face him. “You’re already the most important person in my life. Not one day, have you left my mind. Yes..I know about your previous relationship and how it nearly destroyed you but trust me when I say this. You deserve better than them..I want to be the one that makes you smile. The one that makes your once dark world bloom wonderfully. (Name), will you go on a date with me?” You were shocked at his confession and his words are so warm and comforting. His actions back then, causing you to tear up. “Yes. I will go out with you, Gepard.” You replied to Gepard’s question, making him smile lovinging at you. He leans in, letting his lips brush yours before giving you a sweet and soft kiss. The kiss lasted what felt like eternity when he pulled away and placed his forehead against yours lightly. “I love you..my rose..” Gepard whispered to you before leaning in to kiss you again which you happily accepted.

Outside of the park stood Serval watching the scene with tears of joy flowing down her cheeks. “You two deserve each other. I hope..you treat each like royalty. It's you two against the world.” Serval whispered before leaving to give you two privacy, feeling happy that her two favorite people are now dating each other.

St. Patrick's Day. It's almost as bad as Halloween for anyone in law enforcement. The one day a year everyone believes their Irish, and everyone gets drunk disorderly charges.

This was Beau Arlen's first one as acting sheriff in Helena, Montana. So far, nothing was too serious. Kids partying in the country, couple drunks started early today and were already in the holding cells. Nothing he couldn't handle.

Jenny Hoyt comes into his office, "hey Beau, we got a domestic in progress."

Great. Well, his easy day just ended. Grabbing his cowboy hat off his desk he follows the blonde out to her truck.

"What we looking at Hoyt?"

"Nothing that can't be defused. I know the woman, y/n, she's a local bartender. Sounds like her jerk of an ex has shown up drunk out of his mind, and she's got him standing at the end of her rifle."

Good grief. Some guys need to learn to take a hint. Jenny gives him the low down on their very messy and public breakup. Typical story, he couldn't keep his dick in his pants, and she found out. Now he's back begging for another second chance.

Got to admit, knowing y/n isn't letting him get away with what he did to her shows she's strong.

It's as you'd expect when Beau and Jenny get on scene. A tall blonde, obviously drunk, man is swaying back and forth as he talks with his hands. Trying desperately to get back into her pants.

The woman, who he assumes is y/n, is a beautiful brunette. She's hyper focus on her ex boyfriend. The rifle point straight at the guys genitals.

Beau shakes his head with a smirk when he realizes she's not pulling any punches today.

"Jenny this isn't any of your concern. I've got it handled." Y/N says without breaking eye contact with the blonde man.

"That I have no doubt Darling." Beau's deep voice breaks the brunette out of her focus. Drawing her blue eyes to his green ones. God damn she's beautiful.

Apparently, her ex has finally figured out there are more people here. He whips around to face the two officers, "I don't know who you are, but stop hitting on my girl before I knock your lights out."

Looks like blondy has some balls.

"Hello. Names Beau Arlen. I'm the new acting sheriff at the moment." Beau extends his hand out to shake.

Drunken and disorderly glares at it before speaking, "I don't give a shit who you are, get your fucking eyes off my woman asshole."

Beau couldn't help but laugh. It honestly had to be the best thing he's ever heard from a woman. Of course, Beau laughing pissed off the man standing in front of him. So much so that he made the mistake of trying to swing at the sheriff.

Laws of Attraction Ep 8 (Finale) Stray Thoughts

Last week, we met the best character in the entire show: Nawin. He is gay, unhinged, violent, and so sexy he doesn't wear shirts or underwear in pink suits. He is Chan's ex, and sheltered Chan and Tin. Meanwhile, Thantai is stupid and is posting boyfriend vids on IG while on the run. We also learned that his mom died giving birth to him. Nawin's house in an architectural nightmare. Tin broke the bed after being left there handcuffed by Chan so he can try to blackmail Thatthep. Let's finish this.

Rose is getting ready for whatever they have planned while Maya streams nearby. This has me thinking about criminals who get caught because of their wives' YouTube channels.

Nawin was mooning over Chan until Tin reminded him that he was dumped and now they're in a boxing ring. Amazing.

Nawin, you were the best character. Thank you for your brief time with us.

This show is great. Thatthep threatens Chan one more time and the next scene is him being murdered in prison, the news report downplaying it, and then a smash cut to the wedding photos.

Man, I still don't feel for Thantai much.

I'm missing my grandmothers again.

Nawin is so upset about their wedding that he had to put a shirt on.

Okay, I cried at seeing Tonkhao's dolls getting their own seat. I'm so glad this show never forgot about her or used her death as a joke.

Jam and Film, and all of their friends, had so much fun making this.

Chan wasn't disbarred, and is back to being dramatic for cameras!

Look at Tin having reasonable expectations of Chan.

Final Verdict: 9, Highly Recommended. This was so much fun. I thoroughly enjoyed One31 making another lakorn. With Jam and Film as romantic leads. Every week I got to cackle at the unhinged gay antics of this show and got to enjoy some great performances along the way. Go into this with the right genre expectations and you'll have a blast.

29. I was told on many occasions by my previous psychiatrist that note taking was random . I always thought this statement was BS especially after observing her ability to find a certain ‘random note’ with precision during a session. I requested to see my notes which is my right under FOI laws and she sent me most of the emails I had sent her about an ex partner which in keeping with her random declarations were of no value whatsoever. I do realise that my selection of past boyfriends was not up to any kind of normal standard however with this diagnosis I am unlikely to attract a lawyer - though none of them could match my sister in the emotional abuse stakes. My previous psychiatrist showed her disapproval whilst rummaging through notes and with her back turned to me she called out the names of each of the bastards I have known with complete disdain. Her disapproval however should be measured against the overt abuse I endured with my sister in order to measure the hypocrisy of her disdain. Tolerating my sister’s abuse was great training for a life which taught that putting up with crap from others is a natural and expected part of existence. However choosing crap partners can also be interpreted as part of that unconscious inner rebellion that screams , treat me like a human being and the result could have been much different - brutality is unlikely to produce a high functioning human and if it is not even considered the result for a patient can be a permanent apathy. I was completely failed by the mental health system. My current psychiatrist however has obviously been granted access to the meaningful notes because she uses them to validate instances which are needed to shut down dissent. FOI is just BS for anyone that wants to know things about their diagnosis. I would have to say that writing all this has always been hovering around in my mind for a very long time, however I think the reason we don’t write is because doctors will completely skim over any conversation that doesn’t adhere to their beliefs so you ultimately believe your story is rubbish.

Things that really annoy me about medical record access is that after I die they are accessible to my relatives . I remember when I was first diagnosed I saw my Great Aunts records - she had a mental illness - I felt uncomfortable reading them . There is something awful about reading the records of someone who has suffered especially when you have the same illness - that’s just my personal take on it. There are also organisations that get access as do any doctors and yes doctors can have prejudices as well , anyone can - but of course this is just in my mind.

It's been two and half years since you and Trafalgar Law have started dating. You both have grown close enough to love eachother. Your dates were few and far between when you could get time with him. So this was special. You wore a silk black dress with a slit down the right thigh with thin silk straps. You wore stiletto platform shoes in black velvet. You also had boa feathers wrapped around your arms falling off in the middle. Your long (c) hair flowing down your figure.

"Are you ready Trafalgar?" You ponder in your shared bedroom while looking in the mirror at your figure. Finally ready to go.

"Where is he?" You wonder to yourself. You walk into his office only to see noone. So you walk up to the deck. Finally you see his familiar figure.

"Trafalgar dear" your voice reaches him and he turns around suddenly a blush comes to his face. You walk up to him and hook your arm around his. He gives you a kiss on your cheek.

"You look stunning (n) as usual" Law states looking you up and down. You giggle and say

"And you look handsome as always my love" Since there was noone on deck he allowed these advances.

"Ready? Let's go" he says sweetly. As you both are Shambled to the Dressrosa Island after Doflamingo was defeated but months after.

"We could have gone anywhere why here?" You hear Law complain.

"Because they have the best grilled fish and fish. Please just humor me dear" you state as you both walk towards the restaurant district for your reservation. You only had a say on the restaurant, everything else Law took care of. You see happy couples everywhere. As you walk in the door you see the grandness of the restaurant gold accents and deep red for wallpaper.

"Its a good thing I dressed up"

Meanwhile Law was just in his regular attire.

"Good evening sir and ma'am do you have a reservation?" The door man asks politely.

"Its D. Water Law" Law states nonchalantly.

"Ah yes right this way" A waiter appears leading you both still linked at the arms to a table in the back were the lights were candles. Raising both hands to your face you squeel quietly

"How romantic isnt it?"

"All for you. I requested this table especially for you" Law says quietly to you not wanting to attract to much attention. Since he was an ex warlord of the sea some people had turned to look at you both. As you sit he pushes in your chair then goes to sit himself. The waiter waiting for your drinks order with a pen and paper.

"One glass of champagne, and one glass of bubbly cherry for the lady please" you hear Law say to the waiter.

"Yes sir right away" the waiter swiftly walks away.

"What are we celebrating?" You raise an eyebrow. You knew law didnt drink and neither did you since you were allergic.

"You will soon see" Law just states nonchalantly resting Kikoku against the table. You make small chat as the waiter comes back with your order.

"Champagne for the gentleman, bubbly cherry for the lady" he says as he sets the glasses down.

"Are you ready to order?" The waiter asks politely.

"Yes I'll have the grilled fish with lemon" Trafalgar states.

"And I'll have the raw tuna steak" you say politely allready knowing what you want. You see Trafalgar motion the waiter close to him, as he whispers to the waiter then passes him some rolled up berries.

"All right I'll get your orders in shortly sir and ma'am" he tips his hat and the waiter walks off again.

"Now what was that about?" You question him but Law just shakes his head.

"I just want the best service for my dear" he says appeasing your curiosity.

Ten Minutes Later

-☆-

"...And then Bepo gave me a big hug for making him a hat just like yours" you giggle.

"Hn well you've always been crafty" Trafalgar says sweetly.

You suddenly see your waiter coming back with your orders. He sets them down, then double takes making sure he set the right plate for each of you.

"I do hope you enjoy the food" he says then walks away.

You look at your plate. The tuna looks almost as big as the plate. Pirks of dating an ex warlord.

"You are really going all out this time it's nice though love" you say sweetly.

"All for my love. Make sure you chew slowly so it will digest properly. Let's cheers" Law says sweetly as well. Both of you picking up your glasses.

"Cheers too?" You question.

"Cheers to love" Law states then clings his glass to yours.

"Cheers to love" you say quietly as you take a sip of your bubbly cherry. Then you both take a fork and knife and start eating. You decided since the tuna was so big to cut on the right slowly eating. After noticing Trafalgars gaze occasionally on you you ask

"How is it dear?"

"It is wonderful actually I understand why you wanted to come here" he states calmly. You both continue to eat and eventually you make your way to the middle of the tuna cutting a square out of the center you put it in your mouth. You realize something hard in it so you suck off the tuna and pull out the hard bone. To reveal

"This isnt a bone" you say as Trafalgar takes it wipes it off and gets up. Goes over to you and kneels down holding up a ring catching the attention of many people around your immediate area.

"(N) D. will you marry me" Trafalgar asks you as you stare into his beautiful grey eyes. You put both hands up to your mouth blushing cherry red.

"Yes of course Trafalgar I would love that" you hear him sigh in relief then slides the ring on your finger with the eavesdroppers clapping. Quickly he sits back down.

"I was nervous I'm so glad you said yes" he says quietly.

"Well why would I say no?" You question.

"We barely talked about it" he states.

"Your so silly you know that Trafalgar?" You giggle in happiness.

"I love you so much" you say quietly.

"And I love you so much (n)" he replies. After you both finish your meals you ordered dessert. A small cake with a sphere shell of chocolate then the waiter poured hot chocolate onto it to reveal the cake.

"My that was so cool" you state shocked.

"This is a customer favorite ma'am" the waiter says, then when done he walks away.

"Here try some dear" you say taking a small amount holding a hand under your fork leaning over to him. He bites down and the fork slides out of his mouth.

"Its good" he says quietly.

Walking arm in arm he suddenly embraces you in a hug.

"So.. how does it feel soon to be Mrs. Water Law?" He asks then plants his lips on yours, you kiss him back then he deepens the kiss using his tounge to play for dominance. Breaking for air you say

"It feels wonderful my love!" You squeel in happiness. As you say that Trafalgar picks you up and twirls you around then setting you down.

"Awe I've always wanted that to happen howd you know?" You ask him.

"I just felt like it" Law states.

"Room Shambles" your suddenly in your shared bedroom. You see Law go up to the loud speaker that connects to every room.

"She said yes!" You hear Law kindave yell but quietly. You start to hear cheering all over the sub.

"How did you manage all of this without me noticing?" You question him.

"Well I had a lot of help from Bepo, Sachi, And Penguin" he admitted.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Laws of Attraction (Sat iQIYI) 2-3 of 8 - Oh good, we now know that Thailand has the same statutory rape laws as the US. Dub con is as dub con does. MEANWHILE Oh my God I love evil lawyer cutie so much. Him and his beautiful weaponized smile, maybe my new favorite character. I like the way this director is playing with noir mystery tropes, settings, and archetypes too - it’s feeling very 60s pulp, I’m getting gay Travis McGee vibes. Grandma knowing that her grandson likes boys is so sweet. I have to be completely frank here, this is what I wanted from both Manner of Death and KP. I truly love this show

Hidden Agenda that isn’t hidden (Sun GMMTV YouTube) ep 3 of 10 - It’s a very Cyrano de Bergerac kind of narrative... If Cyrano fell in love with Christian instead of Roxanne. Mock date was fun.

Low Frequency (Sat iQIYI) ep 4 of 8 - Into the lion’s den. Investigation begins. Why isn’t the ghost acting lookout? Who are these random side characters? I’m confused. Half way through kiss is right on schedule tho.

Wedding Plan (Weds YT & iQIYI) ep 2 of 7 - The kiss was nice, but it’d be nicer if Nuea had punched Lom. Manipulative arse. A trash watch is happening!

Be Mine Super Star (Mon Viki) ep 4 of 12 - Meh.

Dinosaur Love (Sun iQIYI) ep 5 of 8 eps - The hazing has begun + secret relationship and it’s kinda like a v soft SOTUS. Dino is getting a bit too controlling and obsessive for me so it slid down the ranks. I much prefer La Cusine’s version of this dynamic. The friends protecting Dino’s interests were funny tho - boy is so obsessed he outsources his stalking.

Jun & Jun (Korea Thurs Viki) 2 of 8 - Our ex idol is a total FLIRT. Nice to see an uke with agency. I mean baby girl is a newbie worker bee… but still flirty, good for you, sweetie. I see your little lip bite and so does your soon to be husband. Speaking of, I love Choi Jun’s style of seme aggression: a little sleezy + a bit too handsy + ultra clever with his words. Boy you sped right past American style and into Italian - that’s real Corinthian leather, that is.

Stay By My Side (Taiwan Fri Gaga) 5 of 10 eps - Mid series kiss right on schedule. Thank you for never upsetting me, Taiwan. Omg. Such boyfriends. Only Taiwan gets this sappy. I have to say, I watch this show after Tokyo on purpose. (I need the pallet cleanser.) Still, I’m scared that the perception will be that Bu Xia is using Jiang Chi, not in love with him, when the truth about ghosts comes out. Why doesn’t BX’s useless sister do something for her disaster brother? I guess JC likes a needy boy? Oh no, the kiss confusion. Lip touch but rejection (?). Nooooo. I suppose they have to draw this out for 10 eps. Gah, they’re so cute. But BX is a bit dim, isn’t he? Poor thing.

Minato's Laundromat Season 2 AKA Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 (Japan Thu Gaga) 4 of 12 eps - Shin is such a worrywart, over protective, over the top boyfriend. I guess we saw a little bit of give from Minato? More than usual, baby steps. This is Japan after all.

Tokyo in April is... AKA Shigatsu no Tokyo wa (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 7 of 8 - Japan’s favorite trope = the running of the gays. Kazama knows everything now. Ep ends on one of my few triggers. SKIP! Japan you better NOT go there.

Vian the series (Vietnam YouTube ) ep 11-12fin - terrible ending, he turned back into a cat and the whole thing was pointless. I am very annoyed. 4/10 FATALLY FLAWED
