The Zeppo aired for BTVS season 3, episode 13. This is a Xander centered episode. At the start of the episode Xander is told to stay "fray adjacent" by Buffy. However, Xander has a series of adventures, including hanging out with Jack O'Toole (shown above with his large knife) and his friends. Xander gets a car, helps Faith out, and interrupts Buffy and Angel having an angsty conversation. He also saves everyone from a bomb explosion.
(mod note: highly recommend the excellent meta essay on the episode The Zeppo written by herinsectreflection. it includes commentary on Xander's role throughout BTVS.)

I've gone back to my roots and am handwriting an older story of mine (again? ish? i didnt get that far with the first rewrite, it was mostly formatting) and I've basically decided to do sort of an overhaul of the characters because i have a better idea of their personalities in 2024 than I did in like. 2012-13.
I've been thinking about this one story and the characters a LOT recently so allow me to explain it. The story is about a show about a fictional band (which is itself a remake of a show about a fictional band), how the fictional band was put together outside the universe of the show, and how the fictional band [briefly] became a real band before falling apart. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE DOGGS. More about the characters and how I'm wanting to change the direction of them below.
CHESTER HARRIS - Is the de facto Leader™ of the group as the eldest of the teenagers and is the voice of reason amongst them. He's the drummer of the band as well as the band's main singer. His role isn't changing far too much from what it originally was, but it's given a lot more depth. Rather than him just taking to the big brother role perfectly and knowing the balance of when to step back, he's a little more.... arrogant about it. Because he's the eldest he assumes he knows best about the situation and the others are going to take him to task about it.
GREG SWIFT - Is the second oldest of the group and is the one with the ideas. An out of the box thinker. He's the bassist of the band and writes lyrics, doesn't really sing at all and doesn't mind it. His original role was as kind of the shit stirrer of the group, intentionally trying to get a rise out of his bandmates for the fun of it and just. Generally unpleasant for the most part. He's still going to be a bit of an ass but like, he wants to be in the band and once he gets to know the others he's in it for the long haul.
RICKI SUAREZ - Is the third oldest of the group and is the heart of the group. They were the one who brought everyone in the group together in universe and they're the band's rhythm guitarist and the secondary singer. In the original story they were kind of just... random. Really random. (Which makes sense given the year I first wrote it) I see them as being person who's very determined [since they went to a performing arts school they were convinced that the role was MADE for them] so I'm going to try to lean more into that.
VIRGIL 'XAVIER' O'TOOLE - Is the youngest of the group and is the one who gets caught in situations the most as the baby. He's the band's lead guitarist and composer (he works a lot with Greg). He can sing but doesn't very often. The change with Virgil is likely going to be the most dramatic because looking back at the writing for him I don't like how I handled it at all. Originally, his character was very emotional - crying and whining at the drop of a hat outside the show. He was 14 but comes off as way way younger. He was suffering a lot of mental anguish because of things happening in his backstory, and while I don't intend on changing the backstory, I'm definitely going to change his reaction. While he's still emotional, the emotion is going to be anger which drives him to be defiant outside the show (he was the one who pushes for the band to be 'real'), in show he's going to be pigeonholed into the 'sad little kid' role which makes him increasingly more resentful of his lack of control.

O
Bütün korkularınızı yanınıza alın . Başlıyoruz Stephen King’in yazımını dört yılda tamamladığı ölümsüz başyapıtının filme aktarımı 1990 senesine ait .
Film baştan sona göz önüne alınınca sanırım palyonço bizi sonra bulmasın diye kusurları görmezden gelebiliriz :) Bu filmi kesinlikle Stephen King'in mükemmel kurgusuna saygı duruşunu temsil eder. Sıradışı bir yapım ile başbaşasınız.

So I was talking to Carrie Coon today (well, I was talking at Carrie Coon, more truthfully) and she was talking about how every so often she'll get someone tweet at her "I like your acting, but you should really keep your mouth shut" [regarding politics]. And after my outrage at what a monumentally moronic thing that is to say to anyone died down, I was like "Can you imagine the absolute shitstorm that would follow if some entitled American dipshit told an actor like Richard Harris 'I like your acting, but you should really keep your mouth shut'?" Like, that idiot would open the door and standing there'd be Harris, Peter O'Toole, Richard Burton, and Oliver Reed, all brandishing steel pipes and soused to the gills.

Congrats to the ultimate winner of the Hot & Vintage Movie Men Tournament, Mr. Toshiro Mifune! May he live happily and well where the sun always shines, enjoying the glories of a battle hard fought.
Tumblr media
A loving farewell to all of our previous contestants, who are now banished to the shadow realm and all its dark joys and whispered horrors—I hear there's a picnic on the village green today. If you want to remember the fallen heroes, you can find them all beneath the cut.
What happens next? I'll be taking a break of two weeks to rest from this and prep for the Hot & Vintage Ladies Tournament. I'll still be around but only minimally, posting a few last odes to the hot men before transitioning into a little early ladies content, just like I did with this last tournament. The submission form for the Hot & Vintage Ladies tournament will remain up for one more week (closing February 21st), so get your submissions in for that asap! Once the form closes, there will be one more week of break. The first round of the Hot & Vintage Ladies Tournament will be posted on February 29th, as Leap Year Day seems like a fitting allusion to leaping into these ladies' arms.

Harrison Ford was Spielberg's original choice to play Eddie Valiant, but his price was too high. Chevy Chase was the second choice, but he was not interested. Bill Murray was also considered for the role, but due to his idiosyncratic method of receiving offers for roles, Murray missed out on it. Eddie Murphy reportedly turned down the role as he misunderstood the concept of toons and humans co-existing; he later regretted this decision. Robin Williams, Robert Redford, Jack Nicholson, Sylvester Stallone, Edward James Olmos, Wallace Shawn, Ed Harris, Charles Grodin and Don Lane were also considered for the role. Ultimately, Bob Hoskins was chosen by Spielberg because of his acting skill and because Spielberg believed he had a hopeful demeanor and he looked like he belonged in that era. To facilitate Hoskins' performance, Charles Fleischer dressed in a Roger Rabbit costume and "stood in" behind camera for most scenes. Williams explained Roger was a combination of "Tex Avery's cashew nut-shaped head, the swatch of red hair... like Droopy's, Goofy's overalls, Porky Pig's bow tie, Mickey Mouse's gloves, and Bugs Bunny-like cheeks and ears." Kathleen Turner provided the uncredited voice of Jessica Rabbit, Roger Rabbit's wife. Tim Curry auditioned for the role of Judge Doom, but was rejected because the producers found him too terrifying. Christopher Lee was also considered for the role, but turned it down. John Cleese also expressed interest for the role, but was deemed not scary enough. Peter O'Toole, F. Murray Abraham, Roddy McDowall, Eddie Deezen and Sting were also considered for the role. Christopher Lloyd was cast because he previously worked with Zemeckis and Spielberg on Back to the Future. He compared his part as Doom to his previous role as the Klingon commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, both overly evil characters which he considered "fun to play". He avoided blinking his eyes while on camera to portray the character.

Another Repostober, I never ended up finishing the color - I had just got my first pack of copics a couple months back before I started and was worried I'd run out of the dark colors before even finishing. 😅
I might actually end up redrawing this picture, because I still like the concept a lot (and this fictional band is back on the brain again)
