im curious on what makes force fem hot honestly as someone not really into it. as a trans woman i understand the appeal of escapism in it but ive never really understood much else

its an act of degradation and control. societally, the idea of manhood is constructed around power, authority, capability, and value, while the concept of womanhood is constructed around subservience, passivity, and sexual availability.

these ideas are obviously not good things for society and the women subject to it, BUT it means that turning a man into a woman is... well its something like turning a person into a sex object, especially when you see what KIND of Fem usually gets Forced (submissive and breedable, essentially).

compare to something like pooltoy or plush animal transformation- removing someone's agency, and generally these transformations will implicitly or explicitly also be sex toys.

Idk. long ramble post about one OCs body type and how shape language is making it Difficult to settle on one for him.

Erasyl's Deal is that he's king of a country on its last leg who's had to go to a long time enemy to beg for help. He's a minor nature deity, his status as king of yhis country having granted him a great deal of power over plants. His main Themes are 'blighted spring', 'failed harvests', and 'seasonal changes'. he is representative of the state of his nation.

In current drafts he's willowy, long and thin and gaunt, to invoke that frailness. He looks cold. and that works well enough but it's too obvious in the context of the rest of his story. His deuteragonist is symbolic of winters that rage too long, overpowering spring. Making Erasyl this dainty little thing next to a giant beast makes that whole situation too textbook.

I can't give him substantive body fat, it would read too warm, or like it's meant to convey something about bountifulness and spring. Round isnt the right shape for him either, he's not meant to look friendly or cute, he can't be pitiable. If you square up a fat character you can nix the softness, but you end up with a rectangle. a tall sturdy shape. and he is not sturdy. he's a transient character, hes meant to feel frail and fleeting.

Putting muscle on him but not fat is an option, making him wirey with too much definition, like there's strength there but it's strength that's close to breaking. itll let him stay narrow, but it doesn't let him stay young. That build adds years and years to character, he's meant to be a young man forced to bend by powers far beyond his control. Given a crown that's too big and a looming war thats unwinnable and forced to bare the weight of both.

normally this wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue. A character's actual body isn't usually what needs to convey the entirety of their shape language. You use clothes and accessories for the majority of it because it gives you more space to play and let the contrast between body and clothes be part of the dialogue. but Erasyl doesn't get clothes for the majority of the story. He gets a deer hide and blankets to keep him dependent on Maelgwn's warmth to survive the harsh winter Maelgwn himself symbolizes.

And I keep coming back to that willowy build he started with. it Works. but it's not Fun. it feels right, but in a really boring way.
