MC who sleeps in longer than Belphie?

Lucifer was a little puzzled when he found you in your room. You were sleeping soundly, with a cozy blanked over and around you, and hugging one of your stuffed toys.

Your face however, showed some dark circles under your eyes, your brows furrowed, and your skin was rather pale. You looked very tired, even though you've been sleeping for more than ten hours.

He had to believe Mammon more now. It was the avatar of greed, after all, who said: "If ya don't believe me, then look for yourself! That human sleeps just as much as Belphie!"

It also didn't really help that you were not really a talkactive person as you rather kept to yourself, and the brothers didn't know you that good because of that.

Now, he sighed as he thought of a plausible reason as to why a human like you could even sleep that long without having to use the restroom or eat something.

Asmodeus stepped in because he needed some money from his sugar daddy oldest brother, and stumbled upon him examining you. The avatar of lust chuckled. "Oooohhh, does our little Lucifer have a feti- Ouch!", he yelped when Lucifer hit him with a rather hard pillow.

"Silent. I am thinking of a reason as to why MC is not awake yet. I mean, we don't know them very well, but still. I'm sure the normal human body can act just perfectly with just 8 hours of sleep."

Asmodeus rubbed his temple in pain as he thought as well. "Maybe they are doing some beauty sleep?"

Lucifer sighed. "I don't know...maybe? But let's have them sleep for a little longer before we wake them up."

...

Mammon grinned internally when Lucifer subtly apologized. Satan stepped into the kitchen where Mammon and Lucifer conversed. "Shouldn't MC be awake by now?", the blonde muttered, and Mammon looked at Lucifer.

"Yes, they should, but they are still asleep. I don't know why though."

Satan looked at the book he brought with him. "I don't know if this could be of use...but the book I'm currently reading tells something about some people who sleep in because of jet lag. It is when the sleep-rythm gets bothered when a person is in a jet, flying between continents and thus different time-zones, which messes up the rythm.", he explained and Lucifer made an "ah" sound in understanding.

Then he stepped into your room.

"...h-huh?", you grumbled as you stretched yourself. Lucifer stood before you, and he looked at you as you raised your arms. He had a concerned expression.

"Are you alright, MC?", he asked in a gentle tone, and you felt weird for some reason.

Lucifer was actually still a complete stranger, and it just...well, it made you feel weird, but you liked the feeling.

"Yes, I guess I just dozed off from swapping from the humanworld to Devildom.", you said softly, still a bit drunk from sleep, and the eldest brother nodded in understanding.

Just then, Leviathan stepped in with an excited grin as he pointed towards you. "I knew it! You're living the life of (insert a very long manga name which describes protag with jet lag)! ...I-I hope that you're okay though...", Levi muttered shyly when he felt Lucifer's stern glare on him.

It felt nice having people worry about you. You wish you could say the same to the people from your home...

"Thank you. I feel a lot better after my nap. I hope I didn't sleep too much?", you asked, as you yawned.

Lucifer looked at the watch on his hand. "You slept for nearly fourteen hours.", he stated, and your eyes widened.

"Whoah...", you chuckled with a concerned face, and Beel stepped in with some food. "I brought some snacks. I thought you might need it after nearly sleeping for more than half a day.", he murmured, and you thanked him with an excited grin.

"Really?! That's so nice of you! Thank you, Beel!", you exclaimed happily, and grinned even wider.

Beel gave you a close-eyed smile as he began eating a hamburger while you bit into a healthy salad. Leviathan ate some sushi while Lucifer dismissed you guys to attend to his duties.

'Living with you might be a little worrying, but at least you weren't loud...', Lucifer mused to himself as he thought about your behavior and lunged into his paperwork with a small smile.

LDR- lily morrow x non-idol! reader

synopsis: you and her know that your always on each others minds

genre: fluff, slight angst, actually reader ain't despresso espresso, surprises, they are actually in love your honor, long distance relationship, lily shocked pikachu face

lily was a little worried that you haven't replied in 48 hours. a whole two days without a single text from you.

now sure, she could've played it off as some sort of time difference between you two as she was still on her showcase tour in america. but she couldn't shake this gut feeling she had. she contacted your sister a day earlier to check in with you saying that she was worried about you. of course your sister had replied back saying you were the same old, lounging on the couch, and bragging to your sister about how lucky you were to have some like lily.

but why weren't you replying to her text if your sister had just seen you yesterday. it was 24 hours since then plenty of time the intial check up. but she had to shake this feeling after all in about 2 hours she was going up on stage to meet Nwsers in brooklyn.

you on the other hand during that 48 hours have been packing and flying to brooklyn to surprise your amazing girlfriend. you had arrived the day before the showcase deciding it would be the best idea to rest in order to get up early to go to the nice to mixx you meet and greet.

man you were so glad you took all of those extra english classes in high school as you were currently reaping the benefits of it all when ordering coffee and food for lily and yourself. you headed over to the venue soon after you finished your food and bringing yours and lilys coffee to it. patentially waiting outside where you had to discover you had dump yours and your girlfriend coffee but was still allow flowers in because apparently haewon had vouch for you once she figured out you were here. you asked haewon to keep it a secret for now and also asked her to drop off the boquet you bought lily in the changing room. she smiled and hit your should saying you owe me one loser with a dorky smile.

you beamed proudly when the show started seeing your girlfriends and her member perform and entertain the crowd for 3 hours. man you were so exhausted from waving your lightstick and chanting your heart out for nmixx. you sat down in your seat for a bit watching the audience slowly file out after seeing nmixx disappear from stage. eventually it was very few people left and no one left on the balcony. but then you can feel someone tapping you on the shoulder saying in a stern voice, "excuse me, you need to leave."

you turned around apologizing at the man for over staying your bit making your way down to the theatre entrance where the door was oddly closed. "hey man, i think you might have to unlock the door for me," you yelled up in the direction of which you came. as you turned around to see the security guard walking down the stairs taking out his key to unlock the door until you were tackled.

"y/nnie!!!! why didn't you tell me you were coming," yelled out kyujin who was on the ground with you. you looked around and saw haewon shaking her head at the younger with thier manager giggling right behind her.

you see pink hair in your peripheral view holding the boquet you had given lily. you hear the voice slowly approaching the both of you asking a question to the younger, "hey kyujin? why did you tackle a stranger- omg wait. y/n?"

"hey... stranger?" you said a little bit worried of what lily response would be for ghosting her for over 2 days.

well the answer is she placed the flowers down, took kyujin off you, then hugged you as if she was going to lose you, and then smacked the crap out of you (her and you crying for different reasons). "why did you ghost me for two days," she whined out she was still hitting you and you hugging her.

"i'm sorry i flew over and got jet lagged so i slept a lot and now i'm here," you explained while trying to comfort her.

she pulled you out of the hug placing her hand on both of your shoulder, "wait. how did you even survive here? you don't even speak english," she says looking you up and down as if you were some imposter.

you sputter a bit a begining but replied in english, "i... uh-, do? i just don't really have a use for it in korea so i don't say much in it."

you knew you would regret these words because then lily went back to smack town her asking you why you didn't tell her, or how many conversation you had over heard in english.

you couldn't help laugh at this situation, even though lily was kept smacking you. you can't help the thought of how lucky you were to have lily, despite you two being in a long distance relationship. you two are perfect for each other.

a/n: after writing too many bouts of angst it is honestly really nice to be able to write something fluffy. anyways angst tmr

Since you mentioned that "Here I Am & Here You Are" is your favourite, I thought I'd share a coda for the fic that never made it into the fic mostly because I only wrote it two hours back. Also, this one goes out to all the SamBucky fans who were sad that the two didn't get much screen time in the fic!

"Well, well, well," Bucky propped a hand up against the door. "If it isn't my favourite person with my second least favourite person. A pair, when put together, forming a union so utterly average in my favourites list that it doesn't even warrant the work of accurate ranking."

"Did you run lines for that?" Steve asked.

"You're not very good at math." Tony tilted his head.

"Agh." Bucky wrinkled his nose, "I already hate this sequel. Come on in."

"Sequel?" Steve added as he pushed their suitcases through. Tony trailed behind them, running a hand over the flat tile on the door, a colourful piece that bore the words, "BEARS AHEAD! GRR!"

"You two. Back together." Bucky shook his head, "can I have it on the record that I don't endorse this?"

"What record?" Tony asked. "What're you even on about? I thought you lost an arm, not your head."

"Wow." Bucky pointed a finger at Tony. "You know, this is why people call you "difficult"."

"Yeah, yeah," Tony said, "how's the new one handling you?"

"I would say like a dream but I don't want to feed your ego, so I'll say like a," Bucky steepled his fingers, metal and human hand making a compelling image when intertwined. Like some harmonic fusion of AI and humanity. Real cyberpunk shit. Bucky exhaled, deciding on, "like a well-constructed reality."

"Okay." Tony drew out the word, "is Chip here?"

"Who?"

"Sam." Steve clarified.

"Oh, haha, Chip 'n Dale, I get it. You think you're funny. Shut the fuck up." Bucky said, no bite to the words. "Yeah, he's around here."

"What a welcome." Tony crossed his arms. "Okay. I'm gonna change, then lay on the couch, drape an arm over my eyes and nap off the jet lag."

"Sure." Bucky shrugged. "Sam's gone to get burgers. Should I wake you then?"

"Steve can wake me then." Tony shot a glare at Bucky. "Since he knows how to do it without totally violating someone."

"It was one time, we were twenty-two, and the ice had all but melted." Bucky protested, quips easy from an argument too often regurgitated, so well-worked that they slipped out easy even after a decade.

Demonstrating that the passage of time didn't necessarily reflect emotional growth, Tony shot Bucky a middle finger. Then, after pointedly waiting for Bucky to point out the bathroom, he took his clothes from the carrier bag and went over to the bathroom. The snick of the lock rang in a final pointed gesture and in the pointed silence afterward, Steve and Bucky met each other's gaze.

"You gonna give your old man a hug or are you too grown up for that kind of thing?" Steve asked.

"What the fuck are you saying?" Bucky made a disgusted sound, "you ever say that to me again, I'm kicking you out, brother or not."

"Alright, tough guy. Come here." Steve urged, bringing Bucky forward and hugging him, taking care to pat him on the back of the flesh shoulder.

"Y'okay? You all mushy?" Bucky asked into his shoulder, "Tony treating you well?"

"Shuddup." Steve replied good-naturedly, "You run Sam into an early grave yet?"

"He's a slow runner." Bucky seesawed, pulling back to make the gesture.

"Don't I know it." Steve said, "seriously, though. How've you been?"

". . . Better." Bucky admitted, "Not everyday, but, you know. . . a lotta days. It's good. I'm good."

"That's a solid deal." Steve praised, raising his eyebrows to punctuate the point.

"Ain't it?" Bucky gave a flash of a grin, all young fire and old contentment.

"I'm glad to hear it, Buck." Steve said, gripping the man's shoulder for a moment, just a brief press, "I really, really am."

"I know, ya big sap." Bucky shrugged the moment off. "How's Tony been? You fucking each other's brains out?"

"Reckon it would take a while to fuck Tony's brains out." Steve pondered, "since he's a genius and all. Lots of brain. . . cells."

"Okay." Bucky raised his eyes heavenward. "He ain't even that smart. Remember when he thought a carton of milk cost eight bucks?"

"He's a futurist." Steve said in his defense. "Give it a few years, it probably will."

"Christ alive." Bucky shook his head. "Good thing Sam's only drinking soy and whatnot."

"Agh, he's converted you?" Steve wrinkled his nose.

"Ye-up." Bucky turned his thumbs inwards, pointing at himself. "Total believer in the soy cream, right here."

"If your mother could see you now, she wouldn't even recognise you." Steve shook his head faux-solemnly.

"Uh, duh. Why'd you think I grew my hair out?" Bucky scritched a finger against his chin.

"I dunno, to hide your ugly mug?" Steve volleyed.

"Is that what the scruff on your face is for?" Bucky poked him. "'Cause what's that about?"

"I didn't have time to shave while travelling." Steve said, "I'll shave it off when I shower later. Tony likes me clean-shaven, anyway."

"Tony likes me clean-shaven, anyway." Bucky mocked in a jeering tone. "Jeez, the two a you are awful."

Steve paused, set his lips in a straight line and said, "'Cause the stubble can be scratchy when I'm rimming him."

"Eugh. Yuck." Bucky shook his shoulders out. "What the fuck, eugh. Oh god, I'm gonna gag."

"Okay, drama queen." Steve rolled his eyes. He took the pause to push their suitcases up against the wall. Upon turning back, he found Bucky raising an eyebrow at him.

"That's a homophobic remark." Bucky said.

"You're." Steve ran a hand over his face, "I'm too jet-lagged to listen to you right now."

"Good way to say you can't think of a comeback."

"Don't say comeback, it reminds me of—"

"Blah, blah, blah." Bucky stuck his fingers in his ears, "can't hear you, can't be traumatised by you and Tony." His voice rose higher with the second sentence, and it proved the "losing one sense amplifies the other senses" thing wrong because limiting his hearing was obviously causing an amp up in Bucky's lack of common sense and also, his (already debilitated and clearly debilitating further) sense of humour.

Thankfully though, it seemed that the universe was immune from the senses thing because it was with an apt sense for timing that the doorbell chose that moment to ring out.

Steve let Bucky continue his immature performance, going up to open the door in the charmless host's stead.

"Hey!" Sam greeted, takeout bags in both hands, "you're here!"

"Hey Sam," Steve returned, taking the takeout bags from him and moving them to the dining table, "good to see you, man. How've you been?"

"Great, great." Sam said, "How're you? Travel safe?"

"Yeah, perfectly." Steve said, "Tony's just getting changed. You came back quick, eh?"

"Got lucky with the line." Sam said, "how's—man. What are you doing?"

Bucky took his fingers out of his ears and gave Sam a sheepish smile, "well, well, well." He said faux-menacingly, "if it isn't my least favourite person."

"Don't say that about Steve." Sam sidestepped, "and why're you acting like a child?" Without waiting for an answer, Sam entered the kitchen and the sound of running water followed.

"FYI, this is why you're Dale in Tony's "Chip 'n Dale" analogy." Steve said.

"Look at you, bein' such a supportive boyfriend." Bucky said. "Boy oh boy, I best be careful or I'll be out of the running for boyfriend of the year."

The lock of the bathroom door clicked and Tony came out in a grey sweatshirt and trousers. Steve decided to save the fact that they were both Steve's clothing items for later, when Tony was sleepy enough to only notice the reprimand and not how hot Steve got at the sight of it. Tony ran a hand through his hair as he asked, "I heard the door. Sam's here?"

"Kitchen." Steve jutted a thumb out, and Tony headed over to say hi.

As the two began what sounded like an incredibly mature exchange of greetings, Steve and Bucky shared a short look.

"We are not the immature ones in our relationship." Bucky insisted, "we are not the "Dale" of the relationship."

"I think they're brothers, anyway." Steve gave an involuntary rictus, "Tony's always multi-tasking when we watch films. It's a problem. I'm working on it."

"Yeah, okay." Bucky sighed. "Hey, Stevie, off the record?"

"The record that doesn't exist?" Steve asked, "that record?"

"The very same." Bucky cleared his throat. "I'm happy you're back together, you know? Real happy. You average each other out."

"In your favourites ranking or in general?" Steve asked.

"Both, genius." Bucky said. "That's why you two work so well together."

"Thanks, Bucky." Steve said. "You too, you know?"

"I know." Bucky said, giving him a genuine smile. That, more than anything, made Steve feel properly settled. He was out of business in taking other people's opinions on him and Tony getting back together, but Bucky was definitely the closest to being a person he could trust to know enough to be accurate and honest enough to be truthful. So—the fact that he approved, well. It just mattered.

Sam and Tony walked out of the kitchen, still chatting, with table mats in Sam's hands for the food.

"Hey, Tones." Bucky walked forward, "hey, buddy, come here."

Tony made an "oof" sort of sound as Bucky came up and hugged him, matter-of-fact about it. The look Tony sent over to Steve over the shoulder was bamboozled. Befuddled. Somewhat begrudged. A tad bemused.

"Hey." Tony said, "you okay?"

"Yeah." Bucky patted him twice on the back and then stepped back. He pointed at Tony with the metal hand and at Steve with the other, "you two break up again, I'm suing you for psychiatric damage."

Tony's finger met Bucky's in a perversion of the E.T. greeting, pushing him back as he said, "Buckaroo, you couldn't afford me."

"Can we continue this over food?" Sam called out, "'cause I didn't wait twenty minutes for cold fast food."

"Sure thing, babe." Bucky grabbed Sam by the scruff of his neck and pulled him in for a tight hug and a peck on the cheek, "there, there. Didn't mean to make you feel left out."

"I wasn't even—" Sam tried to shrug out the hug for a futile moment before quickly conceding to it, "whatever, okay."

"I don't want to break up," Tony sidled over to Steve, "but I do want to keep up with the psychiatric damage."

"Agree." Steve wrapped an arm around Tony's waist.

"Should we fuck on his bed?" Tony suggested.

"Sam would suffer too, then, and he doesn't deserve it." Steve said, adding with a thoughtful tone, "let's do it on his old bike."

"We do average out." Tony said, and then, at Steve's startled surprise, "see, I can multi-task."

Omg I’m just catching up on as the river flows and omg that last chapter! I screamed at my phone when Rhys said he would tell feyre she has the most beautiful eye color he’s ever seen. Don’t you know there will inevitably be some other guy who says that line to her to cause conflict in the story rhysand!?! But the plot twist of his reveal was so sexy epic! Little rhysie hiding his identity at first because he’s nervous his true love won’t like him if she knew 🥺 thank you so much for feeding us with all your recent fics, I still have to catch up on some of the others! But I did get to read your New Years one, it was chefs kiss and so hot! I died laughing when feyre locked his phone without changing the picture 😂😂 them looking at each other’s nudes was just somehow so cute of them??? Lmao 😂 Hope you’re resting and taking care of yourself 💕

This is so nice 😭😭 Today has been tough because I'm so exhausted from travelling but this was such a nice message to wake up to and peak at periodically throughout the day!!! Thank you for the extra boost of seratonin, it makes me so so happy that you enjoyed Ten Past Five and As the River Flows! I had a lot of fun writing both of them!!

I totally forgot to mention this when I uploaded (and I meant to) but @separatist-apologist is largely responsible for Feysand discovering each other's nudes in TPF. I told her they'd be swapping phones and she was immediately like "AND THEY'LL SEE EACH OTHER NAKED RIGHT?" She even sent me photo inspiration because that's what friends are for 😌

Anyway, As the River Flows is next on my to-do list after I finish my chapter of thelonelyapology collab. I'm hoping to get a chapter out maybe by next week? I was in such a nice rythym of writing and my trip abroad + jet lag really threw me out of it. So I'm trying to gain momentum again

Sure Is dude. i love getting to see tori have to deal with the social responsibilities of being the next head of the himemiya family and the politics there... obviously i do not know how closely related this is to pretty mission but in one of the other stories (tempest? i do not remember) where tori mentions taking more business-related classes at yumenosaki to prepare better to take over the family business... it's such a good way to highlight the earnest and serious and hardworking parts of tori and i hope we get more of it. as a treat

i hope they do tori christmas part 2 i think its what toriPs deserve. that boy is so christmas coded its unreal. it could also be a fun opportunity for a lookback scout maybe.... since we know abt the "tori getting left alone on christmas as a kid" lore. or something. i lied i want torikasa lookback scout more than i want tori christmas pt 2. or both if its possible that would be so awesome....

vacation is fun so far!! we've been here a day so i'm still pretty jet lagged but we've been walking around a bit today and visiting some big markets and shops and stuff :) in barcelona right now but i think we're moving around a bit in spain to visit some smaller towns... and then we're going to paris next week too!! excited for that. going to live my uh. best shu itsuki life? excited to visit all the art museums and the cafes. europe is fun this is my second time visiting at all and i love the energy of the cities and all the architecture.... even just walking around is so cool. maybe after trip is over i will post the ibahiyo "business" trip highlights....
