Time crisis
Clockwork looked sick, this was the first time Danny had witnessed something like this so he couldn't help but feel concerned for his mentor. However, no matter how many times he asked what was going on, the Ancient refused to answer.
The halfa was taking care of him and finally Clockwork revealed that he was under attack. Danny raised an eyebrow in confusion, he saw no one in Clock Tower and the Observants were not around, seeing his confusion the Master of Time explained himself more clearly.
Clockwork had multiple bodies, distributed in different dimensions. And while they didn't follow the same rules, their job was the same, "preserve the timelines". One of his other bodies must have sensed his timeline being altered multiple times and awoke from its rest to repair the error.
Someone must not have been happy about that, if the damage Clockwork was receiving was anything to go by. The Ancient had no doubt that if they kept attacking him they would cause him further damage, which would be a big problem for the timelines.
The reason he didn't want to tell the halfa that was because he knew Danny would want to help, but not all of his "parts" were good, nor did they have the same methods to "repair" and he didn't want to show the boy a bad part of himself. Although he doubted his other "self" would attack young Daniel, seeing how fond he was of him.
Danny of course, offered to solve the problem. Knowing the boy was stubborn, Clockwork sighed in resignation and opened a portal to the DC Universe, where the Justice League was facing Kronos, Danny stepped through the portal immediately and started running to the battlefield.
Wonder Woman was gritting her teeth in fury as she faced Kronos, who was scowling in annoyance, his gaze seemed to be fixed on the speedster for some reason; half of the League were injured but holding their ground, and John Constantine had almost finished preparing a spell to destroy the titan once and for all. He opened his mouth to tell the Titan it was his end when a teenage boy ran past him.
Danny, who had no idea what was going on, stood in front of Kronos not knowing what to say. He didn't quite know how to fix the situation. Kronos looked at him in confusion as John choked as he noticed the boy in the path of his spell.
"Fate is not inevitable" the halfa told the Titan decisively. While he had been a hero and understood why the people around him would want to "stop" the other Clocky, he didn't want to see his mentor die (even if this was some sort of clone? Danny didn't quite understand), he was selfish, and he knew the other Clocky had his reasons. He looked at the wounded on the battlefield and took a deep breath before looking at the Titan again.
"Come home with me and we'll find another way to solve it" Danny offered, ignoring the heroes glaring at him. Kronos was still silent, he knew he could kill the boy in seconds but something in him protested at the idea.
Danny wondered if he could lock the being in front of him in a Fenton thermos.

DP x DC story idea y'all:
So the JL has some big ass problem, like really big, like dimension-destroying-big.
And as a last resort they want to find some entity powerful enough to save them and strike a deal (John Constantine-idea tm)
But where do they find something like that?
The infinite realms. John regrets his idea already. That is a fucking suicide mission. But what other option is there?
The whole JLD works really hard to find a way to the infinite realms and after searching every and all books about death magic they manage to find a portal.
It is decided that the Trinity plus Constantine should go in, try to find a powerful being and strike a deal at any costs.
So they go in. And land somewhere in the middle of nowhere, floating in the Ghost Zone.
They meet a random ghost and ask if they know of a being powerful enough to save a whole ass dimension from destruction. The ghost says the most powerful being is the ghost king who reigns over everything dead, then gestures vaguely in some direction and leaves.
So the the group moves in that direction and on the way encounter all kinds of bizarre beings (demons, ghosts, jinns, alpe and the like) getting in all sorts of trouble (walker's prison, some demon with shares of John's soul etc) and only escaping by a hair's width every time, getting new directions and very concerning and sometimes contradicting information on the ghost king from more amicable beings in between (not every ghost knows of the new king yet). The whole journey to the king's castle is very the wizard of oz like.
And then finally. The castle comes into view. All the heroes (and Constantine) are exhausted and desperate. As they come near the tension is rising. Hopefully the king is merciful like that one ghost said and not a ruthless tyrant like the other said. They've almost reached the castle when -are those disco lights coming from the windows?!?! And can anyone else hear Caramelldansen??
There's a big ass houseparty at the ghost king's fortress.
They can just walk into the courtyard unbothered. There's also a ton of beings partying hard and almost nobody even spares the JL ensemble a glance.
They, once again, ask some random drunk? beings for the Ghost king and, once again, get directed on a wild goose chase across the courtyard several times, to no avail. Finally, they find someone who at least looks human and alive.
It's Jazz. She's just finished with her mid-terms and for once not being the responsible one. She earned this. But now there's a group of weirdly dressed humans? asking for her brother. Yeah, she hasn't seen him in a while, she'll go looking with them. Last she's seen him he was near one of the snack bars.
Together they make their way over. But he isn't there. The Leaugers could fucking scream! They went through hell just for the tiny chance to save their world and now they can't even find the Ghost king!
But then the young red haired woman with them looks around. narrows her eyes. pulls up the table cloth.
And finally there he is! The ghost king! In full regalia! With a flaming crown hovering over his head, a mantle made out of galaxies draped over his shoulders and the ring of rage on his left hand ... and it's a teenager. Passed out drunk.
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Idk i just thought: what would a normal teenager do if they had a gigantic castle in another dimension and no parents to reign them in? Houseparty.
"I mean what's the worst that could happen? Death of alcohol poisoning? Not fucking likely" -Danny

It wasn’t going to stop, it had you in it’s grasps and it was NEVER going to let you go
How long had it been since your eyes had seen the sun’s glow as it crept into your apartment through the tiny rear window.
Hours? Days?
You couldn’t recall anymore, time seemed to almost come to a complete standstill in the hellish realm that you now seemed to occupy now. Had a year passed you by without your notice, had your shop fallen into disarray without you attending it’s counter day in and day out. You couldn’t begin to answer any question that might pop up within your own mind. Nothing made sense but that didn’t seem to matter in the slightest to you. You were breaking, slowly cracking piece by piece your will to fight had begun to simply melt away.
You were all alone, trapped in this horrific nightmare of the world. You had been abandoned, left to rot, wilt away like a flower left out in the sun for far too long. Your head rested just above the water’s surface which threatened to break once more as the many hands upon the many arms that had long been tightly curled around your body, twisting and caging you. When you would struggle, try to break out of it’s snake like grip then it would drag you under, break the mirror like surface and hold you there until your lung screamed in agony, screamed for air. Only loosening it’s viper like hold, letting you float back up.
“Giving up, are we pet?”
You had been left alone, to reflect upon your choices. The demonic entity had cruelly smiled stretching it’s tattered and torn lips one last time before disappearing back into the void whence it came. It had forced you to relive it’s twisted vision of Chloe and Lucifer over and over again. Tearing at your heart, each time you had to witness the detective and your lover violently celebrate your demise in a carnal dance before your beaten, bloody corpse. It was going to destroy every part of your life but this was where it chose to begin. It was going backwards through the bond, using it’s magic to tear your heart and soul apart one painful piece at a time until there was nothing salvageable left.
Until you had faded, then it could take hold and use your shell for it’s purposes. However nefarious and vicious they might be. If you could shake your head, you would respond to it’s words. Yet at the same time, you couldn’t help but think upon their early observation.
“Do you think you are the first? The Morningstar has had many soul marks before yours. He is infinity but mortals last only for so long. When one dies, he simply gets another name upon his flesh to replace the lost one”
Were you just the next in a long line of men and women who had come before? Were you just another replacement who Lucifer would not be alone in the universe. If that was the case then...No! You couldn’t think that way. You did matter to the fallen archangel. You couldn’t let yourself give into doubt. That didn’t matter, only there here and now did.
It hissed violently, as it plunged you down into the murky depths. It did not like those who fought back. It would make that it broke you down. It seemed that using the Morningstar’s half of the bond wouldn't crack your spirit but it still had another to access. One that had been cemented far much longer and would hurt so much more if fractured, if broken. It’s lipless smile stretched further, reaching beyond its cheeks. It was time to use the warlock’s form to bring delicious agony upon the reflection of your soul.
“Fuck” The word easy fell from his lips, no-one had seen you. Not your friends or the few employers that worked in your shop. They had all assumed that you’d gone away on some trip after receiving the same message as he had . Not that you’d hadn’t done something similar in the past but unlikely last time you hadn’t resurfaced after a few days.
Space from him, from Lucifer was needed to get through whatever came after. You were just as independent as he was but you’d always had found your way back to one another. The bond drew all three of you together. It’s magic tightly wrapped every nerve ending, telling you that was where you truly longed to be. John knew that familiar ache that lingered in his very bones but of late, it had grown increasingly more numb.
Something was most definitely wrong as such emptiness came if the bond had been damaged, magically spluttered. John stood outside your front door, knowing that it had been heavily warded for your own protection and safety.
Now with the added knowledge that you hadn’t been with Lucifer further fuelled his anxiety to get to the bottom of the mystery of where you’d vanished off to. He needed answers to his increasing numbers of questions.
He had tried calling again as soon as he had left Lux, once more it had gone straight to voicemail. John had made his choice, get inside and see what was there. Maybe this was nothing more than a game to keep things spicy but that wouldn’t explain the numbness that settled within his mind. The void where you used to be, the intoxicating pull that connected you to him that bled into his dreams.
He had a key, of that you had been insistent on. You’d hadn’t wanted him to feel left out in the cold. That and you didn’t want him picking the lock every time he was in town, when you failed to answer the door. He shoved his hand in the left pocket, flushing the key from the mess of items pushed into the cloth hole.
A brief smile crossed his lips, throughout the entirety of this entanglement he had tried to push you away, believing it would inevitably end the same way that all of his romantic and platonic endeavours had, with the swift hand of death. You had refused to be simply pushed out of his life, claiming that love was always a risk worth taking. It had taken time for him to accept this but once he had, the blonde had never once looked back.
The road had been bumpy and long but it led to him into the arms of a supportive, open-minded and loving partner. John slid the key into the lock, turning it until it clicked before pushing down the handle and opening the door. As he stepped across the threshold nothing obvious seemed out of place. His eyes darted from left to right, drinking in the familiar trappings of the apartment.
Soon enough his gaze fell upon the closed door of your bedroom. This wasn’t an unfamiliar sight but maybe you lay within, waiting for him to pounce. Maybe this was just another game to play but something felt off.
“Luv?” He loudly called out, hoping that it would summon you from within. No answer came, no sound emitted back. No footsteps, no motion whatsoever. Everything was still. This was weird even for him.
“Y/N?” He tried once more as he took several steps into your home, using one hand to close the door behind him. The wooden floorboards creaked beneath him, as he edged closer to the door. John was concerned. “Johnny is here luv, I’ve missed you” He honestly said, knowing that this would always make you smile but yet still nothing. This was getting more eerie by the second.
Soon enough he stood before your bedroom door, with one hand flush against the wooden surface, he pushed it open. His eyes widened horrified as it revealed what lay within it’s four walls. Your prone form in the middle of the bed with remnants of a long since performed dark ritual. He rushed to your side, knowing that if he didn’t act fast that he might lose you. He couldn’t lose you not now, not ever.
The sigils that had been haphazardly painted upon the wall behind the bed, hadn’t been there before. He would have remembered seeing those during his last visit. Those were new. You hadn’t been the one to put them there. They were a nasty, old and dark kind of magic, one that came with a steep, heavy price. One that demanded a hefty sacrifice. A soul ripped from a living entity.
You had been the sacrifice but one up side in this most dreadful of situations was that you have been alive when whoever had cast this. ”I’ll get you back Luv, Johnny promises you this. I’ll kill those bastards for putting you through this” He softly muttered in your ear, knowing that you won’t be able to hear his words but he needed this.
“Now do you think, I’m going to let you have all the fun Johnny boy”
Tumblr media
The familiar face of the smirking blonde warlock twisted to horrific proportions terrified you to the core. Thai was not the first time that you had seen such a look upon his handsome facial features but that had been a different time, early on in your relationship when he had tried to push you away. He would claim that it was in your best interest. Not that you had ever listened, even back then.
His demonic counterpart was the manifestation of all the least desirable parts of his personality but his veins were a wash with demon blood. Demon Constantine was still him but yet at the same time, he was not. He had been something that John would never truly be able to escape from. You know that he had tried to shield from this entity but one way or another you would have crossed paths with him eventually.
Oh and how you had but you couldn’t let such memories resurface. This was simply not the time nor place.
“Oh darling, we have nothing but time here together. Just you and me”

The Spiteful Ghost
Danny loved space, and loved exploring it almost as much as he loved the Realms (yes, apparently he had made a home there, and learned to love its quirkiness, who could knew right?). The problem was that over the years the halfa acquired another characteristic: He hated heroes.
It might seem ironic, considering his teenager years but he just couldn't stand the concept of heroism (he never chosed to be one), not after all he had been through. Not after losing his family and ending up with more than deep wounds, not after humanity called him a villain for protecting the ghosts, not after the world chosed to sacrifice him after all he did for them (Amity was his world, and the city handed him over on a silver platter to save itself, they forced him to take drastic measures, actions he should never have taken, but when you're alone it turns out that no one can stop you)
They say that rancor can change you, the halfa can confirm. The point is, Danny hated heroes (he hated what they had to go through, hated that adult heroes weren't there for him, hated what it took to be a hero, leaving everything for the world was absurd, why would you accept something like that?). When the ghosts told him about the DC dimension he didn't take it exactly well. Although at least those heroes had a base in space.
Clockwork forbade him to go for a few months (he understood his grudge, quite personal, but he didn't want it to destroy him, he didn't want him to destroy himself), but when he saw him lost and depressed he allowed it, probably because he knew it would cheer him up for a while. Maybe he saw some future where he reconciled with the "profession", or maybe he thought he needed it (the halfa wasn't evil, Clockwork knew he wouldn't hurt anyone).
So, Danny arrived in the hero dimension and set out to be the world's biggest nuisance: moved chairs, ate their snacks, disappeared their stuff. He wasn't doing anything exceptionally big until he overheard an argument between the Red Hood and Batman.
After that, Batman ran out of gadgets in no time and Red Hood found little desserts everywhere. By the time they called JLD, it was pretty obvious they had an invader (the invader strangely loved Young Justice, and anti-heroes, seemed to hate Batman thought).
John Constantine entered feeling that he was walking to his funeral, why the hell had the Ghost King installed himself in a hero base, if it was rumored that he hated them to death?
