I think my favorite thing about the episode is that he hasn't changed.

I wasn't really worried they'd never find him or that he was dead (though I'll admit a brief moment of unexpected fear that Howler was going to lead Sabine to a gravestone hit me while she was talking to Thrawn) I was always worried that he would have changed. That the years would've hardened him. Made him cold and unhappy and bitter because bloody heck it took ten years. He's already spent so much of his life alone, and now he's been trapped in another flipping galaxy for a decade!

But then Sabine found him, and he's grinning, and he's joking, and he's happy and alive and he still can't wait to come home because he's still Ezra. He's still Ezra. And somehow he's been adopted by hermit crab harfoots because of course he would be, he's Ezra Bridger and he's alive and he's still the same dorky good kid he's always been except now he's all grown up and I'm just very emotional about all this, okay? 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Ezra's coming home. Ezra's coming home.

Need to ramble about SW to distract myself from everything going on.

Something that's stuck with me about Ahsoka beyond, like, everything is how happy I am for Genevieve O'Reilly? Because I mean, look at how insane the last twenty (!!!) years have been.

She was cast as young Mon Mothma around 2003 (I don't remember exactly when, but I remember seeing a pic from them doing a wig test that was dated 2003 a little while ago). She got all but one of her scenes cut out of Revenge of the Sith (don't get me started on that I'm still mad about those scenes being cut for so many reasons) and the only one that stayed in is a scene where she doesn't even speak, and that's it. There's publicity photos and some deleted scenes, and that was her Star Wars legacy for eleven years.

And then she gets a co-starring role in Rogue One, getting to play the character again.

And then again in Rebels, getting to deliver half of what I think is one of the best dialogue exchanges about the Rebellion's philosophy—so basically half of Star Wars itself's entire philosophy—that I've ever heard.

And then again in Andor, as a main character, with all her complexities and just like everything about it because it's so flipping good.

And now here she is again in Ahsoka, playing the character past the timeframe of the original role, as a leader, getting to build on practically everything she's done before now.

And now she's not just portraying 'younger Mon Mothma', she is portraying Mon Mothma, she's the definitive version (at least to me, no shade to OG actress Caroline Blakiston) and everyone I've seen and heard talk about her since Andor loves the character.

Just. I love Mon Mothma. I am so happy for Genevieve O'Reilly.

Y'know I just realized the people coming from Mando watching Ahsoka are going to be so confused by Jacen without the green makeup/visible pointy ears or any context regarding Kanan.

Yes, this boy looks human. Yes, his mother's a Twi'lek. No he's not adopted, that's her biological son. We don't know why he looks so human when other Twi'lek/human hybrids don't either but we love him dearly and we miss his dad. And also because we like making jokes about the animated model of him having the color scheme of a carrot. Yeah, this is, uh... this is one time the switch to live-action might've benefited the character design a smidge. 🤣

Okay, I swear I'll shut up after this. I love the music. Do not get me wrong, I adore the music for all the Favreau/Filoni shows, Ludwig Göransson's score and everything that's evolved from it is killer.

But they're using the Rebels music, and that music somehow has a way of going straight to my core. I started tearing up just hearing the first strains of Ahsoka's theme even though I was prepared for it. But when Hera's started? When Sabine's beautiful theme (that's never gotten an official release beyond the Trials of the Darksaber episode guide on StarWars.com) started? And those brief teases of Thrawn and Ezra? I'm choking up just thinking about it. My autistic brain latches on to music so tightly and these melodies bring back such good feelings and I'm so happy they got the Kiners back. I don't know why I was so afraid they wouldn't, but I'm just so relieved they did.

If they never put out official soundtracks for Seasons 3 and 4 of Rebels, we at least have the inevitable Ahsoka soundtrack coming. I'll take it. 🤣🤣😭😭

Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I just realized.

After they get Ezra back to Lothal and everybody gets their hugs and crying in because he's finally home, Hera needs to take a picture with Ezra and her flipping double birds at the camera and send it to Senator Xiono, with a very simple caption:

"HE'S ALIVE A**HOLE SUCK IT"

She's already in a load of trouble for the whole Seatos thing, what's a little bit more now that she's got her boy back?

Okay SO I've never Bad Batch posted beyond reblogs but there's two episodes left and I'm going insane so my big giant theory for why the finale is titled The Cavalry Has Arrived with a sprinkle of Tech is Alive Yes I Am Delusional:

Tonight's episode is going to end with the Batch, Omega's gang, and CX-2 all colliding in one of the hallways.

Big Western faceoff, tumbleweed, yadda yadda y'know.

Right before the shooting starts, CX-2 tells them their escape plan through whatever hallway they're planning is strategically ill-advised, because *insert tactical explanation here*

Hunter: "Oh yeah? What, you trying to help us or something? No thanks."

CX-2: "It was worth the attempt. It's not as if we've ever followed orders anyway."

BIG PAUSE, CLOSE UP MONTAGE OF EVERYONE AS THE WORDS SINK IN

Omega: "...Tech?!"

Tech: *removes helmet to reveal it's him* "Well, I thought it was obvious. Shall we liberate some clones together, then?"

SMASH CUT, ROLL CREDITS, THE CALVARY HAS ARRIVED BECAUSE THE *ENTIRE* BATCH IS TOGETHER AGAIN AND THEY'RE GONNA SAVE THE CLONES.

Okay. I've breathed a little. This is a simple fix.

There is no way whatsoever that Ezra's just going to leave them there. And now he knows how to find them and how to get there (Purgill/Jonah Express) and back again.

Hera undoubtedly has shore leave piled up. If Jacen's living with her, then she doesn't have to worry about using it up to visit him all the time and that woman's a workaholic, we all know it. Plus, now they know they can get there safely, she knows she can bring Jacen along.

So. Hera, Ezra, Chopper and Jacen are going to go on a reunion tour. Pick up Zeb (he has ten years worth of grief to give Ezra, and it's Sabine) who will probably bring Kallus with him (they are searching for a fellow Fulcrum, after all), then pick up Rex (it's Ahsoka, that is his little sister, end of story).

Then Ezra's going to call the purgill, they'll load up the Ghost, they'll bring their girls and Huyang home (and probably Shin because I got a feeling she's gonna turn good at some point, I have no idea where this whole thing with Baylan's going), and then Ezra can go finish what he started on Lothal all those years ago and smack Thrawn into the next flipping galaxy. Y'know, again. With less getting himself stranded this time.

There. Season 2. Fixed. PLEASE. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I think that episode broke me. It's been 18 hours and I'm still struggling to form a coherent thought because every time I get a few brain cells to cooperate and form a few it's interrupted by SNIPS AND SKYGUY ARE TOGETHER AGAIN AAAAAAAAAH WAIT WHY THE DARTH VADER MUSIC WHAT IS HAPPENING.

What does it say about me that I'm not even fazed by the possibility that Ahsoka's dead, though? This is what, number 3? Mortis, Malachor, I'm not forgetting one, am I? Been here, done that, we're at the halfway point so there's no way it's going to stick this time either. 🤣

I'm not even worried about Sabine, either. Sure she's in cuffs and unarmed and stuck alone with the bad guys but this is Sabine. She invented a device that melts beskar at like twelve. She's found a way out of nearly every trap and outsmarted half the enemies she and the Ghost crew ever encountered. And they just put her in the exact place she needs to be to find Ezra now that the map's destroyed. Give her a little time to calm down and get her bearings, she'll figure something out. Never underestimate Sabine Wren. I think Shin learned that the hard way what with the missile to the face. :P

Okay clear shot of the new outfit is great but I still want turnarounds, HAT MAN. WHERE IS THE CONCEPT ART. IT'S BEEN OVER FIVE YEARS.

I love it already though. I miss the wolf/World Between Worlds motif on the belt buckle but the flower is neat too. Reminds me of the White Lotus logo from Avatar... which now I'm thinking about it is probably intentional since Filoni briefly worked on Airbender too. 🤣🤣🤣

I have decided that the best thing Ahsoka can do is have Ashley, Tiya, Taylor and Vanessa somewhere in the background. Flashback to TCW era with Anakin? Have Ashley and Taylor walk past them in the Temple, with Ashley made up as a Togruta. Doing anything with Mandalorians? Tiya's in the background wearing Clan Wren armor. Hera's on the bridge of a New Republic ship? Vanessa's a Twi'lek crew member or pilot or something.

They're the reason this show exists as much as Filoni is. Whatever the reason is they didn't get to carry these characters into live action, the least they can do is acknowledge the fact that these characters are so important because of the life they breathed into them. Matt Lanter got to cameo in Mando, Clancy Brown got to play Ryder in the premiere. Keep it going.
